Mineral Oil is derived as a by product from making gasoline from crude oil. In this pack, you could make crude oil by combining several parts hydrogen and carbon to make a hydrocarbon (which crude oil itself is) which can be distilled into mineral oil and gasoline, which only serves as a fuel source for furnaces, as gasoline doesn't have much of a use for a chemistry mod.
Mineral oil is used to contain elements strongly reactive to air (such as potassium lithium and Sodium)
