#How many cowries does this yield anyway?

C2 through C6, WS1-3
in WS4:
natron - spectacles - natron - spectacles - natron
natron - lantern - natron - lantern
firesand - bathtub - firesand - bathtub
firesand - brick counter - bathtub - brick counter
firesand - brick counter - bathtub - brick counter
and now I go farm iron ore XD
S113 C4 - 3632 cowries
S113 C5 - 3882 cowries
this is on a R20 character doing favors though, so with everything unlocked. at lower ranks during the process, I guess my educated guesstimate of ~12k a week average was fairly close to reality.
if I end up with useable selections of favors again I'll try the new bot settings and perhaps something whacky like trollollol all potion-firesand or all necklace-chairs too, but all in good time.
so looks like RNG hit cod's prepeak, coral sword's (low pop) prepeak, and iron axe's strong (low pop) peak
seems like an "average" enough result to me 🤷
oh and bathtub, since that was a c4 peak when you made the first half of those favors
but you are exactly right, when we throw around those "this makes X many cowries" estimates when talking about stockpile, the workshop levels and max groove matter, as do the number of workshops...
ah, I wasn't even thinking of workshop levels, but you're right. I was basing my estimates on my testing alts stuck at CC3/L0~1 so workshop levels would have been stuck at WS3
S113 C6 - 3841 cowries
total cowries for this experiment: 16252
so c5 and c6 would probably be lower due to lower max groove, and the whole thing would be at 20% bonus cowries intead of 40%, so probably like 13k cowries for a mid level player?
so I'd say the 12k estimate was pretty accurate
better to underpromise lol
thanks once more for Doing Weird Stuff for Science
I love Doing Weird Stuff for Science :3
Ouuuuuuu Riri/Marilith rolled Rope/Chair/Axe for favors next week, more testing! Which testing condition shall it be this time?
hum. guess there's no simple fulltext copy for bot outputs, let's see....

yep that broke. gonna have to edit it.
S115 C4 - 3977 cowries
S115 C5 - 4252 cowries
S115 C6 - 4480
S115 total doing this_week no-rare-mats with chairs shoved in: 20092
next time I end up with non-rare-mats favors I'm gonna try potion-firesand
so a marked improvement over stockpile, unsurprisingly
notably, that sounds like similar-ish results to the silera no gather guide's cowrie returns
I haven't actually looked at that particular guide/preset at all because micromanaging the granary sounds a lot less desireable than hours and hours of gathering to me XD
if you start off ahead enough, you can just change it once a week anyway
but yea personal preference does apply
all valid. but, like, I'm insane in 99 ways but that one isn't one of them.
fun stuff - Ley/Maduin got rope - stove - quartz ring for next week's (S120) favors, so I'm gonna mix and match those into a potion and firesand only (very high pop and low pop respectively) schedule. while going for zero efficient crafts.
C2 WS1-4: quartz ring - quartz ring - rope - rope
C3 WS1-3: stove - stove - firesand - firesand - firesand; WS4: firesand x6
C4 WS1-4: potion x6

your daily dose of trauma - how low can we go?
S120 C2 - 1480 cowries
S120 C3 - 973 cowries
S120 C4 - 1336 cowries
S120 C5 - 456 cowries
(those are WS5 values of course, so for WS1 they'd have to be further adjusted, plus the no-rare favors and zero efficiency - but it's pretty close to the lowest you can force XD)
S120 C6 - 768 cowries
S120 total - 5013 cowries. zero efficiency. I got no groove ♪
That is misery lol
I dunno, 5k for "I refuse to engage with workshop mechanics, like, at all" is still pretty high IMO.
