Husks would die too quick to be able to get big enough for it to make sense for them to be down there
And even then theres no point to really be there since theres no abyssals that it’d make sense to salvage limbs off of to attach to itself

Contrary to a popular belief among the baro-ideas dwellers, not every new creature added to the game has to be a variation of husk.
I support having more abyssal creatures with ranged attacks, but bringing husk into it is stupid.
Land based crustacean that can harpoon your sub and keep it away from moving.
Something like latcher, but completely different to how it works, Latcher throws you onto rocks, That thing would just keep you in one place, enabling something like Volcanos be more interesting and actual hazard
can have also small symbiotic things that swarm your sub

An abyssal thalamus?
Keeps you in place. Smaller enemies swarm your submarine while it's alive. That's pretty much a thalamus.
i dont think it makes a whole lot of sense for abyssals to be husked

that one mod, that makes spinelings have nuclear railgun shells instead of spikes should be vanilla
its funny but too easy
you just have a room which is in a place you know won't be exploded and the spinelings kill themself
with vanilla subs that seems like it would be nearly impossible

i know this from experience (our mechanic was immediately vaporized, i got downed, i think another guy got downed, and the two remaining crew members were severely injured)
yes but with this only 1 guy would die as husk stops drowing and pressure, genes can help with drowning but not pressure
stim, husk and possibly genes help with healing back fast
still a lot of the crew would be hit by the actual blast of the nuclear railgun shell
i got downed from it instantly all the way in the gunnery
