Assuming the devs add hunger as a feature, I have some ideas that would blend perfectly with it. Items would need to be added to flesh out the roles like more plant options and a functional distiller, but I feel that it'd add an interesting dynamic by adding a secondary support role that would be 100% lore friendly.

Botanist: Improve plant yields, splice plants for greater effects, etc.

Chef: Harvest flesh from creatures, cook food items to eliminate psychosis effect from raw flesh, more temporary stat bonuses, etc.

Brewer: brew different types of alcohol, improve crew morale, more temporary stat bonuses.

Will add more ideas later as they come up.

Well it fits bc that's what it is, not every game has to follow a 100% to the T basic survival (food, water, etc), here is what survival is "the state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstances", ngl I don't see a requirement for water & food and etc needing to be added, therefore they aren't required in order for a game to be a survival game, hell any game is one if you can die :^

Whilst food and hunger is a fun/interesting idea for a survival game, it doesn't really fit in with Barotrauma

You can make it work, but the game wasn't designed with that in mind, so you have to change a good chunk of code to accommodate it

The problem is it would break up game flow and just be annoying so you'd just shove in a whole bread while fighting
