Basically, similar to how you can compile and load a hammer map directly into source games and load right there, what if there was a testbed that allowed you to compile a mod, then load directly into a submarine/station that has every common thing that would need to be tested, like a fabrication bay, one of every merchant (including faction specific merchants), research stations, ect. so that people who are modding new items can more easily test to see their items are showing up where they’re supposed to

While I agree that this would be useful, you can always prepare such submarine by yourself and publish it

Yeah it takes 5 mins to setup a test area

Sub editor lets you make anything so you can be more hyper specific to your needs

as far as im aware there is no way to force spawn a merchant of a given type to test if your items are properly appearing there and if they’re being sold at the correct reputation requirements
