You could make a mechanic that radiation had some chance of damaging components and could replace values, as it does in reality when electronics are irradiated.

#

For example, the values in the memory component will be replaced by the closest values to the original value

A mechanic which bricks complex circuits and straight up removes major parts of a submarine's functionality?

It would be really painful to fix complex circuits, impossible even for components hidden in walls using the sub-editor.

Some circuits are also deliberately made non-interactable because they're used to enforce some gimmick without which the submarine either becomes very bland or overpowered.

Cool idea in theory

#

But in practice it'd suck

#

Even if you had a toggle option, people would probably never use it because it doesn't really "fit in" with Baro's style

#

It'd fuck too much up

#

But I like the concept

How about having components that are invulnerable, so a memory cell would either be vulnerable or unvulnerable

#

Maybe like making the component would be more expensive
