Would be nice and simple to remove the value limits for everything from ascent and decent speeds to creature speed (limited at 20 which sucks), yeah it might break the game but its for modding and modding already runs the risk of breakage, might as well get rid of the limit to allow for more options.

I don't think these are caps on speed! Only on the buoyant forces.
There are mods that add vertical thrusters, check if those can make you ascend faster: they probably can.
