Since turret loaders now display the ammunition status, the loader could also have a wired function of it's current state (STATE_OUT wired connection) showing if there is a depth charge slotted into the loader or not ready to fire. Which is useful to have a light or display linked to the bridge showing that, and thus the captain can instruct the crew to make sure there is a shell ready, useful for combat, more so when having a sonar shell ready for emergencies.
