Disclaimer: These are pretty horrific killings so read at your own discretion

I learned about this guy when I was in high school, and his story was particularly horrifying because of the fact that he felt an unlocked door was an “invitation”, so the only thing connecting the cases was the fact that they had left their front doors unlocked and been home during the break in. He would simply stroll door to door trying locks until a door opened. This gave me nightmares of home invasions for months after.

Another notable part of the case is the fact that there were clear and very obvious signs that he was a disturbed individual, and he had even been institutionalized, but he was always left to roam free. I’ve always thought this would make it an interesting video since there’s a lot of stuff that lead to the killings themselves, basically his descent into his own delusions, paired with the fact that it’s possible that if he had been given the help he needed maybe his mental health wouldn’t have gone the way it did (although apparently he showed signs of being a sociopath from a young age)

All That's Interesting

Richard Chase's tendency to drink his victims' blood wasn't even the creepiest part of his M.O.
