I’m sure as kids we’ve all had our fair share of paranormal occurrences. Kids say and see spooky things all the time, but this experience will always take the cake for me and I’m actually interested to hear if anyone else has any stories of “The Man in Black”.
My little brother is two years younger than me and around the age of 6-8 and even later he would start having episodes over a figure he would see. Often times he would just freeze up and give off a thousand yard stare before screaming and crying about a “Man in Black”. He always describes him the same way, a tall shadowy all black figure appearing to wear an all black top hat and a black suit/trench coat. No actual specific features (like facial features) for him were ever made out although it was certain it was a person. “The Man in Black” would only ever stand and stare but was concerning enough to make my brother cry for upwards of an hour sometimes.
I’ve only ever had one incident with what I could assume to be this entity during a sleep paralysis I had as I got older. I laid in bed unable to move and just stared at this shadow person wearing a top hat staring back at me from the corner.
My senior year of high school is when I met my girlfriend and at one point I exchanged this story with her and she told me she experienced the same exact thing as a kid. I don’t know exact specifics but she would see this entity in her doorway at night and even said she called him the EXACT same thing as my brother did. “The Man in Black”. She would also become hysterical over these sightings and would seek her parents.
Recently she came to stay with me at college and her, my roommate, and my roommate’s girlfriend were watching Mr. Ballen and exchanging scary stories when this got brought up again. My roommate also said that he saw this exact same man growing up.
Is this a universal experience? If so does anyone else have any stories of The Man in Black?
