When I was in 13 in Grade 7, a 9-year-old beautiful little girl was kidnapped and murdered 45 minutes from where I live. I've always loved crime stories but this one will forever stay with me because it hit so close to home. She didn't deserve what happened to her at all. Thank god they found her killers.

That's so sad. I am glad they caught the killers, I hope her family is doing ok.

I had a similar experience when I was a bit younger than that. I remember going to the memorial wall they set up for her in front of her townhouses. I think it was the first true crime case I followed. It still breaks my heart when I pass her old home. It's interesting how these cases close to home follow you after, hey?
