This game uses DirectDraw, but not sure which version (2-7). As it was written to run in exclusive mode, I had to force it into window with ddraw.dll. If I run it with RTX remix it crashes before entering the cockpit, but the main menu starts up.

What I am trying right now is to adjust the .ini file to get a stable render in 3D mode.

I appreciate any help as I am still learning, and if you spot something trivial please let me know.

My main target at the moment is to reach stable 3D render mode and get RTX developer menu to make a shot of the scene. We'll see what can be done from there.

Without RTX Remix, it is possible to enter the cockpit. The cockpit is not a real 3D model but rather a 2D texture in front of a primitive 3D object (basically a simple wall) where you can point and click with the mouse to interact with the instruments. I believe by deleting this 2D object completely and replace the underlying basic 3D model with a real modeled one, it would be a good way to proceed.

Unfortunately, after some time, this artifacting happens as of know for unknown reasons:

Artifacting has been completely resolved by going to SETUP / GRAPHICS then select Render Device "Direct3D HAL" only, and NOT the T&L version. Game is now fully playable with dxwrappper.

A HUGE step forward. In the main menu, protected d3d mode did not allow to interact with the RTX dev menu after clicking ALT+X. However i noticed that if I resize the window, it "executes" my mouse movement and clicking actions. Therefore I could click the "save settings" and deselect "Saved changed settings only", which resulted a default rtx.conf generated in the main game directory. After that, restarting the game it did not freeze and I could get into the cockpit and finally get the RTX dev menu as can be seen on the screenshot.

It seems, it worked because Frame Generation has been disabled.
