yeah it can probably be toned down, i think it was there when I still had a adjustable chunk size

the api lights are persistent, they dont get rebuilt unless you manually clear them, same for the lightupdaters
but yeah i can prevent the rebuilding happen on map cleanup
was wondering why i was lagging and stuttering so much then i remember i had debugger attached
i notice the one issue we still have is that the spawnmenu causes a massive stutter the first time you open it on a map, i think its because we're processing all of the spawnicons for the vtf parser and stuff

if its stuck on "starting lua" or something, you have an addon causing it to lock up.
You can probably work around it with mat_dxlevel 95 in the console after the game is in the menu, or disable the addons here

Which makes sense. The springs and rails for the ammunition aren't transparent
But this is the interior mesh
Not only is are there the expected solid objects like springs and stuff
But the interior part of the shell is also there
And it looks black when not transparent
But the game's material does not use transparency for the interior mesh

it worked but i don't think it really changed anything
only switching to perf made it actually work
it patches CEF to a newer version and fixes some game issues
so i would think it would fix it
the console changes color lmao

the binary patches for shaderapidx9 between the two are the same so that shouldnt be the case π
the perf autopbr stuff is live in the nightly builds now btw

If I've only encountered this on GMOD RTX, I'm assuming the chances of my gpu dying is low right?
it could also be a power supply issue, but only stress testing will reveal what the actual issue is. Remix is a lot more demanding than most AAA games so that's why i suggested furmark or another equally heavy game
it could be an issue with the async runtime but i kind of doubt it since no one else has reported any similar driver stability issues
Postal 2 RTX runs really well, though with an occasional hiccup for a second. I'll see what I can do. Gonna try to run furmark for atleast an hour or 2 (hopefully I can watch youtube on my pc while it runs lol or I'll have to dust off my consoles)
the bigger issue is, let's say your GPU is perfectly stable throughout that furmark run, and the runtime was the issue, its gonna be hell trying to debug it
especially since it seems like it is only happening to my pc lol

Probably should almost 16 mins in and the vram usage is still only 9%
Ran it for around 35 Minutes or so and I didnt see anything problematic
vram was over 215.6 Fahrenheit lol yet only 9% usage. Gonna switch over to Cyberpunk

well the gpu max temp was 103 celsius, and then stabilized around 90 or so. I dont think it was unreasonable

your gpu is throttling hard, your vram is probably even worse
the driver crashes really make sense now since you're saturating a lot of your VRAM
i would repaste your gpu and re-do all of the thermal pads
and make sure its getting airflow
i know a 4090 is power hungry, but shouldnt ever get that hot
we introduced nightly support which breaks older launcher versions, update to the newest one
well thats gonna have to be a long time from now, kinda broke rn and i only have thermal paste xD
i mean thermal pads arent that expensive, but i would priortize that before your gpu actually starts failing
