i've tried construct_rtx and flatgrass and the shadows do the weird thing
every other map i've tried either doesn't have directional light in the first place i think or just explicitly works (like 7/11)
its probably just really dark, try cranking up the brightness in the spawnmenu

their issue is that shadows arent casting from the sun for some reason
if i disable static props a lot more things render shadows
like its rasterized but its not
If they think it's AutoPBR they can try turn it off

follow the pictures, when you type gmod.exe into the search, there will be a few results, do the one that says Garry's Mod (x64)

since the game knows what remix hash a source material equals, we're able to create replacement textures on the fly based on the variables in the VMT

xenthio knows more about the intricacies of what source maps best fit a PBR map but there is algorithms to convert them

Use the greyhound ripping tool's source code to build my own version of it which focuses on quick exports to remix.

Build a gui. First, the user has to point to a capture file made from the game. Then the user will point to a specific capture texture hash. One of the gun's parts. The UI will load that texture in a small preview. Then, the greyhound part of the application can be used to browse the loaded textures, and search for a specific texture. When the user clicks on one of the textures, it'll be loaded in from the game. This way, I'll be able to compare the Gmod texture with the cod texture to ensure I got the right one.

Once the correct material has been identified, the script should be able to identify the other texture maps and export them all.

Once they've been exported, "game texture util"'s cod texture conversion tools can be used to separate all those packed textures into something that remix can use. At this stage the user will be asked to name the texture set.

Once we have ready to use textures, NVTT tools can be used to compress them into the right DDS formats.

Once that's finished, it can build the USDA replacement. It will also prompt the user to choose or create a layer from the base mod. It's important because my mod is currently very optimized, and all the weapon categories, each weapon name etc have their own layers.

Hopefully this should automate 90% of the back and forth
Plus the texture comparison feature is really good because a lot of the time I'd accidentally export the wrong texture because it looked similar but when I check, nothing matches up.
Wonder if Bo1+ have all the nessessary textures or not. I mean I know bo1 supports some PBR, I just dont know if anything used it lol.

What is this tool?
It helps me automate the arc9 modding prcoess. You see alllll of these these little proecsses.
Finding the right texture, then finding the rest of the texture set, then exporting them, then converting the textures to be remix-usable, then ingesting, then going in the toolkit, then assigning each texture of each set one by one
Now all of that is automated.
Before, I was doing every single step by hand
