so let me play devils advocate for a sec. Do we need a coop for developing a launcher? I feel like there is only so much to develop for that versus the actual gmod rtx project. This is just how I feel but, we both have different opinions on how we want to develop a launcher, how are we going to settle this?

x64 Remix runs like garbage on Steam Deck proving that the bridge is not the problem
All the wattage is still going towards to the CPU and draining the GPU, leading to harsh and unstable performance

specifically in coding
i dont use anything free, but as for usage, at least for me, I had to get familiar with compiling tools, project documentation and codebase layout to ask decent questions to a LLM
and some other things im forgetting
to really leverage AI coding, you have to give really good instructions

ive got all the stuff split into services which i think im gonna move into a shared codebase with the original RTXLauncher repo
then we can be building both the original rtx launcher, and the AUI one from the same codebase
that way we can still have the tiny 500kb executable version as an option

we are using callbacks to the remix api to do submit and present, instead of hooking into the game
this is what the x86 remix bridge does

It looks really bad and the only way that i have known to fix this is to turn light supression off, but that also adds more problems, like your flashlight lagging behind you.
yes, source only renders 4 lights at once to save on performance. We have a lightupdater addon that forces it to render all map lights but it doesn't work everywhere
replacing engine lights with remix api lights is the most viable way to fix this

actually i made it a decal
to make it appear look around with the gun in hand and it should flicker in and out of existence. Get it just right and it stays for you to change it to decal mode. Once you do that, you can edit it further since it wont disappear

Actually all that was needed was selecting one side of the sky and it was fixed. But since it was a weird shade of blue the lighting wasnt ideal. So i used the hdri skies
