ohhhhh yeah transfering normals, envmapmasks and phong data to remix would be interesting
no idea how you would do that
for normals its feasable, but roughness would take some conversion work
envmap mask should make a pretty basic roughness without any converting
but the phong exponent map would also make some interesting data
some textures in ep2 look really good with their maps in default renderer

envmaps absolutely DO NOT convert to rough, the best fallback pipeline would be phong to roughness, envmap to metallic

And even so there's the problem of phong masks (normalmap alpha) versus phong exponent textures (fully fledged extra texture, can be used to fake pbr)

When all the assets are done, it truly makes Gmod look like a different game
I actually ported this map like almost a year ago but then cr decided to scrap the old hashes so I ripped it out of the mod. Now that the old hashes are back, I brought it back. Almost all assets here are replaced.

i've had a few close solutions, but nothing i could iterate on
so whats the deeper remix api stuff like what would that do for gmod rtx
provide the remix api to lua (we sorta already have this), so developers can make gmod-rtx specific addons
like day-night cycles, map specific features, etc
i would like to get API lights working again as well, i think i've learned a few things since i last messed with them so hopefully i can get them working without making the game unstable
0.8.0 introduced map-specific remix options, so you can customize fog, post fx, etc per map

The server has done TTT and ZS before, it works
as long as your gamemode doesnt whitelist addons it should work fine
the important part is that the server must have the addon

probably would be aton of work to get NZR to work in rtx remix like theres alot one would need to tag perk machines alot of ui stuff each zombie has like a select amount of skin variants they choose from random when they spawn boss zombies and specials ect ect

cant get the headlights or rear lights to act properly in remix (ignore the miniscule car damage)
if they use env_projectedmap entities they will not spawn
im not sure what they use tbh, i know the particle for the lights appear at least. But they flicker in and out

you can mount with the rtx io method (checkbox at the bottom), but you have to remove/move your other remix mods somewhere else otherwise the rtxio packages dont load

You may still have the files of the mod on your pc and can salvage it
there should be a url in the top left corner of the steam client. You need the numbers at the end as that is the workshop addon ID
take that ID and search your gmod workshop folder
you should find the files in there, if gma then it is very simple to turn into a legacy addon

hello everyone so i was sing gmod rtx launcher and did everything and i constantly have issues where my model is invicible in gmod rtx when i apply one of the patches it constatly does this any idea how to fix it?

you need the required addon shown in the mod description
So the full context is that when you have a single planar circle mesh, set it to have a translucent material, then click the material menu button, the toolkit crashes. But when you turn that mesh into a cylinder mesh, the toolkit doesn't crash anymore?
If so, the best course of action is to upload a copy of that crashing file into a github issue, including instructions for how to reproduce the crash. And send in the crash report you showed in your screenshot, too
