i just use Imbatch to convert DDS to TGA then drag TGA into shadermap 4 and it's generated the textures.

it doesnt really matter where the 3dsky is located now, i made the world renderer only build chunks in the playable area of the map

if the models themselves are locking up the engine, they probably use some sort of compile feature that isnt compatible with fixed function rendering

the video i posted was using the PBRify Upscalled and generated Roughness/Normal + Heights.
here's with still using Upscalled PBIfy Diffuse Texture, but Normal and Roughness were generated from Shadermap 4 with Source Non-upscalled Texture.

i've noticed 2 bugs on beatrun
- Runner hands brokes rendering, but using any other SWEP works pretty well
movement, parkour have no problem. Except runner hands.
- Im not sure if that's a remix issue. But in Vanilla Gmod, if there is any incompatible addons (from i know - vmanip, gmod legs 3) , after game start you will see warn message with list of incompatible addons and it's asking to turn off them
but in remix one, if i have Vmanip. gmod legs 3 etc, i don't see that warning message .It's just loads sandbox gamemode
but if i turn off these addons, beatrun will work

as i said before, the hashes will always change for skinned meshes, but your texture replacements do not depend on hashes to work
so your texture issue is unrelated to the hashes

you should also go to the profile for Portal RTX and make sure it's not overriding the global settings
you should update to the latest driver btw, it's a lot more stable
when you do, make sure you do a clean install through the Custom install setting
it'll wipe your driver settings. maybe something in there is messed up

I'm still getting annoyed by the same textures getting hashes changes every time load on new map or reboot the game.
I remember my hashes being completely changed one time, unfortunately took factory reseting gmod to fix it but if you have gmod with remix on a separate folder just copy any settings from your main install
Just use the factory reset .bat file
if you have it on a separate folder you'll also need to copy over the lua and gamemodes folders since they get deleted for subsequent redownload via steam

the workshop stuff is stored in steam's workshop folder instead of the game

once again the hashes mean nothing for texture replacements. if your texture replacements are not stable, the addon is presenting the texture to the engine in a way that's not consistent

there could be multiple reasons why it's doing that but 99% its other addons interfering or you have some game capture software/overlay injected into the game that breaks render targets

your issue most likely is from the game itself not creating the correct render target to spawn the hdri dome. its best to temporarily disable all addons other than the required ones for remix
just to see if it fixes it
though most of your addons dont look like anything that would break render targets

not sure then, I've had one or two other people with a similar issue but they resolved theirs after reinstalling everything.

ye, on a new gmod install preferably. you dont have to delete your existing one but just rename it to something else and redownload via steam
