i think the weirdest part is that you are getting the typical gmod missing texture
i think this has no relation whit remix
it might be an addon or maybe you are on 64 bit version
that missing texture only appeared when I removed the first invisible texture on top of the playermodel

btw you should not create another gmod folder since the installer already does that for you

Yeah right now the 32bit version is broken, gmod must've put out an update that's making particles crash. I've tried manually installing/using the installer/ different remix's, they updated something ๐ฆ

i've had success with claude before but it took a really long time

my understanding was that 32-bit was still better for RTX due to functioning patches where the 64bit ones are incomplete

vmt edits. you'd have to decompile the map, open it in hammer, find the object/mateiral with the untextured drawcall, and then locate its vmt in the game files
then set the material to something like vertexlitgeneric or lightmapped generic
so apparently anything that grabs the game's framebuffer gets the remix one?
there is this addon called real camera that takes photos and spawns them in the game world.
game is rasterized but the pic still has the remix image lmao
only seems to work once, next pictures are black until i reboot the game

nah the custom world renderer completely blocks light leakage
it re-renders the world as multiple chunked meshes, the engine cant cull it at all
because light is leaking when its off
when its turned on the leaking is gone and it looks normal
it doesnt help my mouse is covering up the check box

it'll improve performance a bunch. turning off RTXDI seems to have no drawbacks either
i cant turn off NEE cache, it breaks HDRIs

but performance is a little worse
with this newer version, im able to crank it to 8196 without many issues
some maps do have vertex explosions though

im capturing the bsp map data with niknaks, disabling engine world rendering, and re-rendering it with meshes
its simple as that

i havent come up with a way to prevent it from doing that yet
if you have the HDRI editor addon, that's a good alternative until i come up with something better
