Legacy mode is our old copilot-like chat system (pre-AI flows). There is no access to tools, a more limited context awareness, and minimal understanding of the developer intent via human action. It is still significantly more powerful than other in-IDE chat solutions (ex. our “more limited context awareness” still outperforms the depth of contextual awareness of other tools), but is definitely not the same as the magic of Write and Chat mode.
