Hey @proper flame definitely understand the concern and sorry for not being more communicative on this.
We've been working on improving the Visual Studio extension and hope to have an updated release out soon that may address many of the issues users are having. @amber thorn can provide the timeline and details of this upcoming release.
We've open-sourced our VS extension as of a few days ago: https://github.com/Exafunction/CodeiumVisualStudio
Feel free to report issues there, and if you have any experience with Visual Studio development we'd love contributions and bug fixes

@proper flame you should try rider, superior dx to VS as well as shortcuts
I believe they got support for jetbrain products which may ease your pain right now
or just use vscode 😄
