#Codeium & Intellisense

@sturdy herald can you confirm the issue?
If Intellisense (https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/intellisense) is triggered we will not show any codeium completion suggestions. If it is dismissed then we may show suggestions but we will never prevent Intellisense from being shown.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
But once i was trying to get autocomplete for a property but it wouldn't show up because of codeium
I can't remember if this was before or after the update
Hm, what do you mean by "autocomplete for a property"? Is that Intellisense? Also how were you trying to get it and what language were you suing?
Ts
Idk if that's intellisense
And i had the obj, then typed period. That normally pops up a menu of its properties that i can ude
I see, I believe that is Intellisense. We should not interfere with that. Are you able to replicate a case where the window pops up with Codeium off but doesn't pop up with Codeium on?
Ok, if you notice it again please follow up here since that behavior is unexpected
escape removes codeium suggestion, but when I press . again, it comes up again.
weirdly' it works now instead of before but I had to do it after .
yeah it's a bit unexpected actually
not happening anymore
being really annoying that I can't get anything from intellisense
maybe make it so that it doesn't show and let's intellisense do it's thing if you've escaped in the past 5-10 seconds?
we'll discuss more about this tomorrow at work - we've tried to do some workarounds but it's a little tricky given vscode's api
yeah
we are thinking through how this could work
we currently do not even know when the user types escape
because vscode has an API that does not expose this
haha yeah it is
how do you manage to get paid if everything is free lol
we talk about it on the website but we're focusing on monetization for the enterprise
use ai to figure out when you need intellisense or codeium
we actually have something similar to this in the works
on a rating of 1-10 how much does codeium actually code itself
8 and it's increasing by the week 😉
