Clicking/clipping sound while upgrading base mats/parts/components while game audio is muted | Unnamed Space Idle | Page 1

A loud clicking sound like a speaker or amp being turned on happens while upgrading any base materials.

I've done work in audio and it sounds like a dc error or something clipping really hard not a good sound and kinda concerning for my speakers meters peaked out to max I have a physical read out sitting next to me.

All my sounds for the game are turned off from the in game menus

I'm using a external sound card but haven't had this happen before this last update

Happened 3 times because I wasn't sure what was causing it so I had to make sure.

when I started yes ive since muted in game sounds

just tried with all sounds on and its still there it doesnt sound like it should be happening

if you turn on sounds, then toggle a synth module, is it a better sound?

yes its a different sound all togther

With music and sounds on the click is still there but a bit better it doesn’t peak as hard

I'm on version 0.70.1.1 if that helps

well sound shouldnt paly ill fix that, but htat sounds just like the click sound

I guess the video isn't doing it justice but when it hits the top of the meter that hard it really isnt good. it definitely sounds different to the regular click sound while the other sounds are on

No thats hitting around -14~ the other sound is maxing out

it could be the same file being played out much louder but I do think the click is slightly shorter in length

hmmmm, if you verify file integrity the settings should be fixed.

but then if you go turn on JUST interface sounds, and do the base upgrade is it still rough?
