Hello, I searched for a bit but did not find a same "bug", and I don't want too many spoilers as I am at the start of the game.
I have bought the Auto-merge but it does not seem to work in the inventory. I don't want to discard them as I would want to collect them to keep track of them. The blue gems are not the only ones not merging.
PS. very good game im loving it

it seems to be related when you already have several of them in your inventory and are not discarding.
You can definitely discard the extras by the way, you'll run out of space in a bit if you don't haha.
But I'll try and get fixed to this in the patch this month
