I can't seem to use proton for some reason. When in Steam I add Compability and choose any of the proton version, and then go to another tab or close the window. The changes are not saved.

hmmm has solved it self, seems to have been one games' files that screwed it up somehome. i uninstalled it and then changes for other games started to work
