Idk how new you are to linux, but,

install steam if you want to play games. Steam comes with proton which is a compatibility layer (based off wine if you care) that lets you play a lot of windows games regardless of if they're on steam or not. You can also install EasyAntiCheat and BattleEye runtimes. Heroic launcher lets you use your GOG and Epic Games libraries.

You can set up KDE Connect to sync notifications with your phone and bee able to send sms.

Browse gnome extensions and find something fun to customize.

Install your favorite web browser, or use the built in one.
