I have watched the youtube video, but I can't figure how to import models on mac. the web ui doesn't recognize the path. My models are on an external hard drive.

ah, yeah - the full path for external drives can be unclear on mac. one way to get the full path would be to open the folder in Finder and then mouseover the title of the window (a folder icon should 'appear') and then drag this 'folder icon/title combo' into the terminal; it should paste it right in ... it's probably something like /Volumes/something if i recall correctly
