The intro isn't boring! it's world building... it fits the track.

#

I'd probably add little bits of ear candy stolen from the chorus at 1min if you want the intro to be a little more interesting

Great start. Good sense of rythm and the track progresses just as I think it's not going to.

Hopefully these ideas will help with the mixing:

  • open mix up during intro by increasing high frequency content gradually from about 20s in stead of 50s in.
  • could resample chorus snippets and lowpass then for ear candy as per your intro concern
  • increase gain of the lead and arp at 1:36 and 1:43.
  • add movement to the chorus bass but modulating some filters on it synced to to your track
  • bring the clap to the front of the mix and add a highshelf to boost the highs maybe past 5kHz or so to give it some height and air. it feels a little too dark in the mix.

as for the writing i'd like to hear more melodies... however that should be resolved once you adjust the gain of those as per point #3

overall I think it's great if you're new to producing or music! nice one.

I enjoyed it once I listened to it again after note taking

Great job! very aligned with the feedback Core gave you above.

Addition to that I think you can elevate your arrangement, having it break down to release the energy, maintain some good emotion as it builds back up and transitions into our full piece.

The outro happens abruptly - as a listening I would want to hear a bit more of a transition out - keeping the drums and only removing some elements before back those off to a drum outro!

Keep up the good work 😎

Vocals around 17 seconds in should probably be turned up.

#

Around 1:00, when the track really slams into full gear, I'd beef up the low-end sub bass and kick.

#

Just a bit of delay and especially reverb on most of the elements in this song could take it to the next level.

#

Around 2:00, I'd add some new element(s).
