Hi, I hit a wall on Convex and had to edit files locally, but now when I use the instruction to sync to github and then use the listener, the files don't update. I still se ethe old website.

Anybody know how I can get my github syncing with Convex? Thanks

I've been through the docs, the CLI seems to sync but nothing is being updated online. Source files are still local/github and not in the Chef website.

There isn’t an option to automatically import your project, but you can edit manually your files on Chef so that they match your local version

What issue are you running into?

The issue that caused me to have to download the files was that Chef refused to change the nav bar button style and it added loads of random extras when I didn’t ask for them. I started to get lost with it and actually left it alone for months.

Today I thought I’d try and finish the project and I’d made edits locally. Tried to deploy it thinking that would sync back to Chef. The logs in the dev side show that it’s talking so I assumed it should’ve taken my files.

Going through all of those new edits and manually doing things will take too long. Should I just admit defeat here and move on?

I can’t understand why Convex wouldn’t allow Github syncing. That’s really silly

Could you try to copy and paste the contents of all your files in Chef?

There is no fundamental reason why we don't allow syncing with GitHub, it's just a matter of prioritization for us
