Well basically it's new updated called "restricted character" basically it stays on your recent chat list but pfp would look black screen with eye icon. That means that the bot is against the guidelines. The only way so you can chat with it again. Is to let the creator edit the bot to not let it be against the guidelines.
If you can't do that. Then nothing else we can do. So just hide the bot

Dude, why are Character AI's responses so weird now? They feel really off. It keeps using asterisks too much, like 'are you serious...' — it's kind of over the top. It also throws in random parentheses, like after a sentence it'll say (even though she wasn't that angry...) or something like that.

It’s like the AI model has gotten worse. Character AI is pushing things way too far, and I really don’t like it. I hate the constant updates — honestly, the older versions were way better than this.

Honestly if the reply it gives during it is good I just edit it then give it a thumbs up, pray for the best. If my bot uses weird formatting I just edit it and keep doing it until it learns on its own to stop; if you can’t edit it, mash regenerate it until you get something that’s good, before I got edits back it would take sooo long for the bot to learn
