Tbh the performance impact didn't really seem that bad while testing it (even on my old laptop equipped with a Ryzen 5 3500U @ 15W cTDP, so it wasn't exactly a powerhouse)
I wouldn't recommend enabling this plugin without having hardware acceleration turned on for obvious reasons, but you should otherwise be fine on any reasonably modern machine
yea i've been using an extension on web discord to block the page visibility api to achieve the same thing (albeit clunkier) for a while and its very useful, especially when using the system-wide pip
so hopefully this gets merged

heads up: you haven't contributed anything to upstream so you are not listed in the Devs constant for everyone. This results in an error being logged when opening the plugin's settings and no author being shown (just a weird +0 icon)
