So I have asked this a couple times and I don't think anyone has answered. Gonna try again in a thread.
I'm a linux newbie. I learned about Vesktop through
https://github.com/edisionnano/Screenshare-with-audio-on-Discord-with-Linux#for-beginners
The guide says that Vesktop supports discord screensharing with audio on Linux.
I use Linux Mint atm, I installed Pipewire and confirmed that it is running.
I'm on the latest version of Vesktop.
I've looked through the issue reports on the Vesktop github and most of them relating to screenshare audio seem to be windows issues, or are stuff I don't understand.
My specific issue seems to be that when I select an audio source like VLC, that source's sound doesn't come through, the sound is feedback-y, and there's echo from the discord call.
Even if I deafen, source audio doesn't come through.
Is this a known issue?, user error? is there a fix?, etc.
