It seems that this issue is unique to the Vencord client. I'm unsure how Vencord handles it differently, but anything additional added requires an extra transparent line, such as Spotify controls, for example. So, why not create a plugin so compatible as possible?

because themes do not theme properly

they add special handling for BD plugins / individual discord components instead of themeing fully

complain to your theme dev or pr a fix yourself
