#Guidance and mentorship

Before asking the question - what roles to target? Ask your self what are you interested in working on?
That's the confusion I have so asking
If you are in your early stages of life I would suggest trying to build some projects that you think is cool, in the process you start seeing where you're good at and what you like could be frontend, backend or cloud.
I am not much into tech
So what are you into?
Devrel or program manager type mostly if that's not possible much then yeah tech
Is there any professional who could help out
Do you have any projects or a portfolio? Google is a company that prioritizes candidates that stand out from the crowd, not just doing what everyone else is doing.
I don't think, there is any such projects for devrel/ community manager
There is ways, getting involved with community stuff like GDG chapters and so on.
Exposing yourself to PM work like how tech goes round the production life cycle.
Understanding the products and what the community likes and so on 🙂
Can u guide me more on it
Can u help me out more on it
i want and guidence and mentorshio about the open source community
What would you like to learn?
Are there any particular projects or open source repos you'd like to contribute to?
I have an AI powered learning app that I'm building that's open source. If you'd like, you can tag along and help contribute or at least spectate the process
Oh wow it's been forever since I've seen you around
And man, I realize I inadvertently learned a hella lot about PM stuff bc of my dad lol
Yes i great to see the process
I will DM you a link to my project server. I will happily guide you, as I am sure will my community.
It's made up of a huge chunk of the DevFest attendees for Central Florida DevFest
There are a few active people but it's mostly my original team
We brought in a few others to help, so if you'd like to pitch in my teammate is working on developing a fractionalized ownership platform for intellectual properties
We are in the early stages of development
I am still learning as well, but I am more than happy to mentor you.
There is a GDG in there. Im hoping with time I can become a real GDG lead. I just met with the Central Florida GDG organizer at Maker Faire and I'm hoping to integrate our mutual communities so we can make even more cool things.
There is literally nothing in this world I love more than helping the maker community out
I rapidly gained appreciation in the Central Florida DevFest community so I hope Maker Faire was a great springboard of opportunity for everyone involved.
There is nothing I want more than to watch the maker revolution relentlessly take the world by storm and to add nox to that fire.
Because when the grassroots control the means of production, nothing can hold us back. Forget seizing the means of production--figure out how to do it cheaper, mass produce the manufacturing method itself, and put it in the hands of everyone. The business model built on exploitation will crumble.
Makey unites us all
Ok sir
Please enjoy your stay in Talosopolis
I would join in too
@long pumice any idea on it?
Oh would you like to? I can invite you!
Yeah you can
may i join on the spectating journey
currently in the phase of life where i need to find my spark
Is there any such role or apprenticeship or guidance on it

I am working for GSoC so need some guidance
Hi everyone!
I’m Ishita Mathur, an AI/ML engineering enthusiast with a strong curiosity for building intelligent systems that make a real-world impact. I’m always excited to collaborate on meaningful AI projects.
I’m here to learn, share ideas, experiment boldly, and grow alongside this amazing community. Looking forward to contributing, learning from you all, and turning innovative concepts into reality!
@valid summit or @spring apex it would be great if you could or provide some help or advice on it over dms or some private channel in this community
Thx
hey how can we help?
Hello, I am Joshua Thomas, I am really new here. Pls guide me on how to work here. I joined here right after I got access to the built in APIs from EPP
I am a student pursuing BTech CSE
If you're interested in tech but not actively building it, you can probably try management roles where you can help eliminate blockers for developers
Like how
Can i connect with you or Lorena maam over dms or a specific private thread to discuss it. I just have a few personal advice based questions and some related to gdgoc setup
And also if you can guide or recommend me for rules of gstartup and if I should put that project idea for it
Thx
you can send an email to gdg-support@google.com and we can connect you with your regional lead
You are part of the that team so thought of asking you directly, i am not comfortable asking it over email as might confuse them
@swift holly @swift holly @swift holly
got it - are you a GDG lead?
No maam not currently but based on your guidance, i can get that done as mentioned in one of my messages
Ok sure maam.
i'm here for mentorship as a developer
Just seen this thread so i'm a bit late, but I'm currently in an apprenticeship, so if anyone has questions about it or is hesitant career-wise, feel free to ask here or send me a DM about it :)
I have already done that sir.
Just waiting for your kind reply
I haven't received anything on my side 🤔
I had messaged long back so was waiting reply on it
