@agile lily Hello Jared, please refrain from sending unwanted videos to people

Oh I apologize, didn't know that PM's were also subject to moderation. Id add some cute emojis to make this sound less tone-y but ive seemed to lost my premium on here lol. Can you tell me who, because I share videos a lot with others, outside of this group too- I would rather remove them / block for no ongoing issues could occur. No one mentioned they didn't like videos so, im not specifically sure who you're talking about.

I wanted to inquire further to make sure I wasn't on the wrong side. I'm not sure if you're a third party service mod or with Google. Mistakes happen, but it's important to know when to use your moderation authority appropriately. While I respect the concern raised, I believe there might be a misunderstanding regarding the scope of moderation. The Google Developer Community HQ guidelines govern conduct within the server's channels and do not explicitly extend to private communications outside the platform. Therefore, I respectfully disagree that the sharing of videos in private messages constitutes a violation of the community rules. However, I am open to further discussion on this matter. If there is a specific guideline I have overlooked, please provide the relevant details so I can better understand your perspective. Thanks Mr. Magical Sea Lion creator.

While I appreciate the reminder to "be wholesome and treat others with kindness and respect," I believe it does not directly address the issue at hand. My concern lies with the potential overreach of moderation into private interactions outside the server's jurisdiction. The user's complaint pertains to content shared in private messages, which falls outside the scope of the community guidelines that specifically govern conduct within the server. As such, I respectfully disagree that moderation can be applied to private conversations that occur independently of the Google Developer Community HQ platform. While I understand the desire to create a positive and inclusive environment, I believe the proposed solution of using the block feature is more appropriate for addressing the user's concerns directly. This allows the user to control their interactions without imposing restrictions on private communications that do not violate any community rules. I would like to reiterate that I am happy to comply with any guidelines that explicitly apply to private messaging, but I have yet to be presented with such regulations.
