I am a huge fantasy fan. So finally getting a medieval themed map and it being only on point break which I do not want to play, and TDM is massively disappointing.

Seeing very little change to sniper is very disappointing especially seeing how making it hitscan again was on the table. Reality is that the bfr titan still outperforms both sniper and ks (which are sniperish projectile weapons meanwhile the true sniper is a pistol). Im not complaining about bfr being useful its just that it renders the ks and sniper useless by being hitscan. Damage falloff means nothing when in range i have to account for bullet drop and movement with the sniper because if the dude im shooting just dune sandworm walks they live. Heavy as a class is already opressive enough with their moderate damage high ammo weapons, it just did not need a sniper pistol. I see the spot ks is in too because i think it would have made more sense if it was pulled more towards the direction of the titan, and the titan shouldnt have been made in the first place. For ks to have its own niche i think it should def have more enviromental damage and then it can also remain comfortably a projectile weapon, without having to pull it close to bfr (but then again why would you want ks when bfr outperforms it). An interesting addition could be the ability for ks to pierce thru thin walls with a damage falloff. Would surely make the ks gameplay with and against it more exciting. When it comes to sniper, i thought maybe reducing the damage to compensate for the hitscan would be enough but then you have the damage values of the bfr which makes no sense like you have the bfr in the heavy. Again this was my point bfr puts both ks and sniper in a shitty position. You can create a new niche for the ks but doing any sort of nerfing to the sniper just makes it more like the bfr? Its a shitty position i think either bfr or the sniper/ks need a major rework. Its also silly that only those to firearms are projectiles meanwhile everything else it hitscan

Not gameplay related but, with the amount of cosmetics available, would be nice to have a wishlist kind of feature to have our list of interesting items/bundles, would make it easier when stuff isn't found in the current store rotations too.

the new season shows a medium with a new movement option, with light maybe getting the floating platform thing. naturally, it wasn't fair that light gets to be the movement class. don't you think getting a midair platform would complement medium's style, and a rocket jump would make more sense for lights? maybe I'm wrong about which class is getting which. (ideally light gets both cuz they got scammed two seasons)

There is absolutely no reason for someone on the losing team to get MVP. If you lost clearly you didnt play that well

Buff the sledgehammer, and all other melee weapons. I think the nature of melee kind of requires them to be more OP than one would initially think. As long as things like dash are nerfed for light the melee weapons could be very good. The only other weapon I think would be problematic besides the sword is the riot shield but if you buff all melee weapons that naturally balances itself (as long as you allow melee weapons to ignore the shield).

Especially in the competitive scene I can see this improving things, since melee is kind of naturally inferior to ranged weapons (especially on a kot of maps) having very strong melee weapons would only make things more balanced, even if they are stronger than most ranged weapons hypothetically. I could go deeper into the kind of buffs needed to make melee weapons so viable, but I seriously believe the game should be at a point where 40-50% of matches are majority melee weapons.

Dash is never going to be a second choice pick if you guys refuse to remove a charge, add a delay between dashes or make it so you can't shoot through a dash. Handing out bread crums as insentive to try something else is never going to work. People play the most broken shit they can because why would they play anything they would potentially lose with.

Also I swear to god if the double-barrel is harder to use now because of the damage nerf, I am so done with this game, it needed a straight buff so that when I shot people center mass within 5 feet away, it actually registered a full shot, but of course you can never just buff something, you always gotta fuck with damage numbers to compensate.

Can you also PLEASE put Monaco back in the TDM rotation, you probably don't even know it's not in the rotation and hasn't been for like 2 seasons.

Honest to god, your balance devs must be missing half their brain to buff the CL-40 Grenade Launcher. This weapon alone is the #1 most complained about weapon in Steam reviews that didn't need a buff, it needed to be removed.

The CL-40 Grenade Launcher isn't meta, we know that, but it is extremely fucking annoying and a massive crutch that shouldn't exist. On principle, it forces the better player using a weapon they have to aim to swap out one of their gadgets slots for the APS turret, while freeing up gadget slot for the CL-40 noobtubing crutcher. The CL-40 Grenade Launcher is honestly the biggest F_U to the average player as it allows a shitter who sucks at the game to effortlessly compete with them at the mid-range. While someone like myself with 2000 hours might not see this weapon a lot at the high end, its made getting friends to play this game unbelievably difficult, they don't want to play a game with an obnoxious noobtube spam cranked up to 11.

Please get your heads out of your asses and start using your brain, at least the ARC Raiders balancing devs had enough brain cells to prevent the Grenade Launcher in that game from damaging players. Just remove the stupid CL-40 Grenade Launcher and move on already.

I'm appreciative of the new specialization, gadget, and gun for medium, but I'm a light main and I've felt for a long time that light hasn't gotten more than a small amount of new content, if any new content, in the previous seasons. I know that it takes time for content to be produced and implemented into the game and that's okay, but looking at the roadmap i didn't see any new gadgets or weapons for season 11, and while I hope that is due to the devs wanting to avoid spoiling the next season, or have flexibility in what is released, I still doubt anything new will be in store for light. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt I am.

I still plan on using and enjoying the new content for medium, since I play all three classes a fair bit, but I wanted to air my grievances before hopping into the new season. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this, and I appreciate any responses that this feedback might receive.

Even if it's not 40Âș,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees and weapons can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
If you want to solve the problem, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. The problem was solved without unfairly messing with the controls. Of course, dmg must also be reverted. Just revert it to S1.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?
Why do you ignore feedback from actual users of the weapon, Why are melees being treated unfairly? Just revert sword and melees nerf.

700 hr light main here, who's been diamond multiple times and been playing light since the betas. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of meaningful changes/reworks for light. To talk about the spec changes, this won't do anything to pick rates. The reason dash is always picked is because the other options are just plain weak. Embark, you need to stop making tiny microtweaks to things and make actual changes and reworks to the game. The reason this game feels so stale is that each season things only change by a tiny bit. Players will NOT come back to this game unless BIG changes are made. Because adding a gun or new TDM map simply is not interesting enough

New map is a tdm map, balance changes are pretty much all just "we made lights easier to hit", mace is just a riot shield skin, More end of Match bloat, Only new stuff for medium and counters for melee. Just played my first game of ranked cashout today and got totally harassed for absolutely no reason. I was solo queue and I got a 2 stack of racist totally out of line players that overstepped every boundary. Leaving vc only to get constantly bombarded with hate messages & gameplay harassment. Refusing to revive, tbagging my body, and understandably I told them it’s not cool and to just stop they found some heightened leverage over me as a person. Dunno, I reported them
 but I doubt any actions would be taken against them. So I’m taking a break after that.

And yes, I have thick skin’ but everyone has an off day yk? It’s like getting harassed in your own home just because the way you look.

Season 10 is not nothing, but it is also nowhere near the kind of update that will actually turn things around.

Yes, there are some decent changes. The Ranked matchmaking changes sound better than before, so I can give Embark that. But most of the core problems are still here.

There is still no match history.
There is still no proper career profile with real long-term stats.
There is still no in-game LFG with filters or proper direct chat tools.
There is still no real numerical ping/latency indicator.
There are still no proper numerical weapon stats.
Directional audio still needs real fixing.
The no-shooting bug still needs to be fixed once and for all.
Hitreg and servers still need real improvement.
Keybinds per class/loadout would still be a huge quality-of-life feature.

The respawn changes also do not look like a real fix to bad respawn locations. They look more like spawn-selection tweaks. People will still learn and abuse the same awful spawn spots, camp them, and punish re-entry because the underlying map flow and level design problems are still there.

The new UI/comms additions are fine, but locking cooldown info behind wheel communication is still the wrong call. That information should be visible directly under teammate names at all times, not hidden inside another input layer.

And where is the serious action on cheaters and griefers? The game is still full of people blatantly ruining matches, and the patch notes do not make it sound like Embark is actually getting ahead of that problem.

Also, no, these are not all fresh new players. A lot of them are just smurfs.

So yes, Season 10 has some improvements. But it still does not address enough of the real issues that make Ranked and overall match quality frustrating.

So far the new season is good, but I'm pretty disappointed that the castle in starlight hollow isn't part of the playable area, it would have been so awesome as the last stage of point break. Also a melee-only point break queue would have been sick.

The crossbow feels like a reskin counterpart pike but less recoil,sure it looks cool but feels boring.
I always suggested a crossbow for heavy with a scope for long range snipes but it is a projectile with high drop off for skill expression.

U can still make it happen make a semi auto harpoon launcher for heavy.

For medium we need a claymore sword with primary attack having wide swings and holding alt deflects some bullets and holding alt and pressing primary attack will cause a downward swing.

If u manage to hit the head then it's critical damage.

Grapple should get even lower cooldown to compensate. AND LOCKBOLT BUFF WTF it was already too strong. No way to escape other than shooting the bolt... At least lower the health of the bolt ffs. Suggestion: Make the grenades from the heavy grenade launcher when it collides with an enemy to explode on impact. Keep the behavior for hitting anything that isn't an enemy.

edit: after trying it out on NA servers (I waited 59 min in OCE queue), the map is big poos. Besides the fact that we haven't had a decent map since S7, I don't care if I never play it again.

👍 Very pleased with class/item updates, QoL changes and complete sets included within "premium" BP. (Nail polish, borders, stickers etc. only serve to dilute the value of BP's.)

New map doesn't feel like a Finals Level. Great design but terrible level. I feel Embark is strafing away from what made The Finals unique. When you guys said the maps were based off of real world locations but with a slight twist they felt great for movement, gameplay and over all design. Now the maps feel lack luster. The new map feels super generic in a lot of ways. The effort for a new map would been better spent on something like Neo Tokyo or a Neo futuristic type of France map or even some thing in Brazil. Other problems i see is with the medium hover pad. Ok you only get one but it doesn't regen at all until its destroyed or unless you respawn making it difficult to retrieve your hover pad thus having to run back to the other side of the level to get it to be able to use it again if needed.

New season just not enough unfortunately, the new map seems perfect for point break but other than that this season is very lack luster. Let’s start off with the balancing, changes made this season aren’t what they should be and waiting 90 odd days for those patch notes hurts, med is still the victim class, the weapons are very subpar the new crossbow is cool but won’t get picked up over repeater or hell it won’t get picked up over fcar, demat changes were nice but the only changes needed was the removal of the delay. Invis didn’t need a buff at all unless your removing invis bomb (still really dumb allowing a class to have basically 2 specialists at once), additionally the light shotguns didn’t need changing maybe matter you could argue for the buff but past seasons both shotguns have been good so I don’t understand the buff. No winch nerf is criminal revert the stun it allows, cc in arena shooters is hell for players and as long as winch remains the way it is other heavy specs will either be bad or overpowered.

Let’s address the major issue in the room about the meta, the heal meta is horrendous previous heal meta was fine because one class had heals and you had to divide the healing between your heavy and light but now every class has access to healing making the meta horrible and not allowing sustained weapons to breath in the meta since all your dmg gets healed by a light or a med.

Overall this season has started and I can see it being a lot of people’s last season ranked is still in a horrible place with smurfs cheaters and losing hours of work for one loss at high ranks, the meta is still heal meta making poke guns even stronger than they already are. We need drastic changes to balancing this slightly nerf here and there is making the game less fun for people when outliers need to be addressed.

Quick feedback after mysession:

  • crossbow is pretty fun, feels a bit easy honestly other weapons in this category usually have hefty recoil and lower rpm. why is this not a projectile weapon?
  • new medium ability, this one is going to take a bit more time to get a feel for
  • cl40, feels a bit more fair compared to but i'm still unsure about it
  • hover pad, great ability, a bit janky to use when on the ground in buildings
  • matter honestly hard to judge if the buff did much but it felt good to use and i did rack up some kills
  • db, massive nerf, didn't play much but the numbers don't lie, two tap vs H now only possible with zero missed pellets, "range" increase is comical on this gun
  • dash, i very much disagree with the nerf. its the only good generally useful light ability, this nerf hits the majority of light players reducing the general viability of the class.
  • cloak, fix the underlying issues please, fashion shouldn't impact gameplay
  • grapple, feels a bit better but it still stinks vs dash since mid combat usage is hard or non viable. Same here fix underlying issues. Give it a reason to compete with dash like for exmpale a cd reset on kill or cooldown depending on distance traveled.
  • cd reduction on sonar feels weird, in my games it is WIDELY used but ok
  • thermal buff is good but i think it needs a bit more to come out of obscurity, the hanging structures rework was a HUGE nerf for the gadget btw.

Finally i am very disappointed that light again gets nothing. At least give us IR sight back or revive the corpse that is the nullifier.

PS: how in the ever-living fuck did embark not give us a Castle map yet? We even have a fantasy season and the map is only for the casual modes.

Turret devnote was interesting to read as the turret has not changed much, at least I do not see any improvements if it is supposed to be "evenly matched" with other specialisations. Adding damage and reducing firerate makes it almost the same in the end.

Im not sure how and when were turrets frustrating to fight against, because being outplayed by a stationary simple AI gun on a stick with laughably low damage is not something to be proud of, especially that whoever brings the turret is not bringing a healbeam for example.

Since I dig the "engineer" type of classes etc. it hurts to see turret in a state like this.
It will never be even with other specialisations if it doesnt actually rip your healthbar if you are ignorant of its existence.
Team Fortress 2 level 1 sentry comes to my mind, while quite fragile, it posed a threat you couldnt ignore.
In Finals case, you can dive in and not even notice that a turret is shooting at you.

With the existence of multiple hard counters like the new specialisation, goo and reshaper, it just is a waste of a spec slot.
Please consider making it less of a bullet sponge and more of a damage dealer, similar to mines in a sense. Good positioning will be rewarded this way.

Please revert the shadow-nerfed Model 1887 Spread Pattern, it makes the weapon already so much more inconsistent. You didn't even mention the changed pattern in the Patch Notes!

Also do something about the new Crossbow, at this rate it's just a way better Pike where Reload Speed, Firerate, hip fire accuracy and total ammocount. It's too much and makes the Pike way too obsolete

like I can live with it but like at the same time it just feels slightly worse and less satisfying to use, I switched off of medium after like season 5 for nerfs like this stacking on top of each other to just make the game not feel fun anymore, and it is such a light ||get it|| debuff that it wouldn't really change that much if it existed or not (well besides it being used less which would make sense but at the same time that could also be people stopping playing the game after something they liked got nerfed)

I feel like this can definitely come off as just complaining over something so small but I just love movement and stuff and it going vroom vroom kind of feels really important to me especially when playing shotguns and melee and it just feels annoying that my playstyle and enjoyment of the game can just be altered at any moment and I just have to hope every single patch that nothing in my loadout gets nerfed and it is just sucks to have to live in fear of that happening even with off meta builds

Chimera is good. A little too good. Been playing with and against it. I think it's a really good addition to the medium that's fun to play and would hate to see it go. I do think a nerf is a bit in order. I think an ammo nerf for sure as I think with the fire rate as it is it's already pretty dominant. I'm thinking 12 to 13 maybe.

Suggestion:

I really like the direction with TDM and I think it has a lot of potential, especially as a more direct competitor to games like Cod. I also enjoy the base core mode cashout but I think we can expand the experience.

  1. Improve TDM Map Flow
    One issue with TDM right now is that the maps don’t always flow well for that mode. Since they’re designed around destruction and objective play, fights can feel scattered.
    ‱ Consider reworking parts of existing maps (not full redesigns) to create more 3-lane-style flow
    ‱ Keep the same themes and environments, just adjust layout slightly for better pacing in 5v5/6v6 and maybe less verticality

  2. Add More Traditional Modes
    TDM is a great start, but adding more structured modes could really help:
    ‱ Hardpoint-style mode (rotating objective for constant action)
    ‱ Domination-style mode (zone control with multiple capture points)

These would give players more variety and bring in players who like more classic FPS structure.

  1. Standardized Health / Loadout Rules (for these modes)
    For modes like TDM/Hardpoint/Domination:
    ‱ Use a standardized health pool (maybe similar to Medium build)
    ‱ Either:
    ‱ Give everyone access to the same abilities/gadgets, or
    ‱ Limit them for balance

This could make the mode feel more competitive and less chaotic compared to the main game.

  1. Scorestreak / Reward System (Experimental)
    Not 100% sure on this, but it could be interesting:
    ‱ A scorestreak-style system (kills/objectives = rewards)
    ‱ Would add progression mid-match
    ‱ Could also help separate these modes from the core experience

100 damage vs 105 direct does NOT matter in the grand scene of things.
the splash damage is now 78 ish damage vs 90 damage at max splash damage and obv like 11 damage at full outer splash damage vs 0 before

so yea you get rewarded a tiny bit for missing giga now instead of not.
This is not the way to make it more direct hit orientated since it just was a nerf in general.

105 damage doesn't change anything cause nothing changes for 5 damage. 120 damage is the tresholds for meaning full changes if u want a "direct only" scenario. Cause then the ONLY difference would be 3 shotting heavys if you hit ALL THE SHOTS WITH DIRECTS (gl)

Insane you all haven't made point break NOT finish the obj timer if someone is actively capping it yet. It's SO frustrating in a mode like this where the objectives are gone so quickly. The mode really does feel super attacker sided. It's so strange.

Also, if the game modes are going to be this large, I think a sound minimap might actually be necessary in these larger modes at some point.

Destruction feels a bit too easy to do in these modes. Honestly there might need to be a special modifier for these larger player modes where walls are like 1.5x stronger or something so that match isn't just a giant pile of chaos the entire time. It doesn't really feel epic or anything, it feels more like I'm playing Teardown. The destruction being so crazy easy combined with the objective finishing still when someone is capturing it REALLY makes the mode feel like "spam random stuff till you win". I like the mode conceptually, but it could use a touch up.

There's also no timer for the defending team to win off of. Which is a REALLY strange omission as well. Makes point break feel even MORE attacker sided. Like, every other game with this kind of mode (Battlefield, CS, RSS, idk MGOnline) and The Finals ITSELF has a timer for the defending team to win off of. Why doesn't this mode? It makes Medium's defib absurdly strong in the mode because you simply can't put people down. The attacking team is really incentivized to play defensively since they technically have infinite time.

The mode is really fun, but its implementation is REALLY baffling and half baked. It really makes me wonder if these modes are AI generated or something sometimes.

at the rate of one ranked coin per season, it would take 74 seasons to unlock all the ranked rewards in one category assuming no more guns and gadgets ever get added again.

this is 18 years assuming each season is 3 months. maybe give more coins out? maybe one coin for each subtier like 4 diamond coins if you reach diamond 1?

surely there isnt a harm in giving out more rewards for ranked grinds right? The current emerald rewards feel very fulfilling at 3 coins per season. Ruby players used to get a gun and a gadget, maybe 2, now its only one reward for them.

Lots of good things about this new season, but for the love of God, please finally nerf the winch claw. The spec has been dominant for several seasons already, it gets boring to see it used so frequently as a cheap crutch to win 1v1s. Remove the stun entirely; it would still be strong when used by coordinated teams, but would prevent it from being a cheesy 'I win' button.

I'm a relatively casual player(if I really hit the ranked grind I can usually hit Plat) and I'm curious of other more dedicated players' current opinions on the Defib.
To me it still feels OP, even with the ability cooldown and half-health. When playing against a triple-stack of Ms with heal beams it feels like you're fighting a 3v6.
I play mostly Heavy but Medium is my next up with a good amount of time on it. It seems like a required slot if you're playing medium. But I can't think of a way to balance it without making it feel terrible.
The only idea my friend's and I have thought of is just removing the Defib altogether and making it so that Mediums just passively manual revive faster than lights and heavies.

Loving the new season, but Nizomi Citadel in point break has a few issues, specifically the last faze, point G, H, I are way too close for attackers to successfully capture a point before Defenders could reclaim it. My first round with this map, I was a Defender, and maybe it's just a good game, but my team managed to rush from point to point and capture any stolen point. There isn't a lot of room in that area, which may be why they are so close, but rather than horizontal points, maybe diagonal to make up for the extra room for the small map

Serious feedback on Sword

I played Sword for about 1000h (hit rank 90 with it before) and a few things get lost in the heated "Sword is overpowered/unplayable" discussion.

First of all both sides need to be understood where they are coming from.

Yes in a casual lobby where people don't hit the important shots a Sword that is just running around and left clicking people to death seems absurd, overpowered and has little to do with skill expression.

The Problem is as soon as you cross the line of people investing enough time to hit even just a moderate amount of their shots left clicks become less and less viable and you have to learn combos and movement tricks to minimize the damage you take while maximizing the damage output. That's where the sword lunge comes in. Lunging is the part where skill expression shows with movement, spacial awareness and positioning. With reducing the damage AND introducing a rotation clamp the lunge becomes really clunky to use and less effective than the simpler M1 spamm.

So what can Embark do to fix the issue for both sides ? Put the focus of the weapon back on the lunge to reduce frustrating scenarios.

Second Problem, lunging through an entire team and dealing massive damage with very little counterplay should not be a thing. It is very frustrating to play against and extremely situational. It should be like other melee weapons. Left clicking less damage but can multihit and the "special attack" single target but is special in some way. Hammer has a single target high damage and destruction. Sword should have single target damage on the lunge but high mobility.

The rotational clamp itself got introduced to get rid of people 360° rotating through an entire team for a huge hurtbox and is without multihits therefore redundant.

I intentionally didn't talk about hit registration because it haunts the game as a whole and has only gotten worse in the beginning of season 10 but of course that increases the frustration for alot of people. Like all other bugs it should not be a reason to increase/decrease the weapons power and should rather be fixed.

Changes

M1 Damage 88 -> 74 (one more left click for each class)

Lunge Multihits -> removed
Lunge Damage 120 -> 140 (without multihits and less left click damage you need the combo breakpoint of 138 to have a fighting chance)
Lunge rotational clamp -> removed

Other Feedback

Ranked needs one less round. The current playerbase can't sustain proper matchmaking with 24 player lobbies. Cutting it in half with 12 player lobbies and 2 rounds for everyone so even the "losing teams" play for 3rd place would not only help with players being on similar skill levels but also relieve frustration for the casual playerbase from losing rs in 15 mins but gaining the same amount in 45 mins.

Small QOL Updates You have the so many good features that would be little work for you but would impact the community positively and fill the content breaks. One example would be releasing the collected data about weapons etc. as an api just like for example "op.gg" or "lolalytics" from League of Legends. Collab with the talented people in your community that already built sites like the leaderboard/bans/rename tracker. Other ones would be changing the weapon stats to numbers instead of a vague bar so it's more readable, adding assists to the profile or having a simple match history that locally saves the stats of the last 10 games or so.

Feedback on the new MVP screen and recap improvements. I feel like I speak for many when the new mvp screen adds a new problem, which is that it makes the game more competitive.

To get to the point, add a toggleable option for the MVP screen to opt for the old version instead. This is because the new version tells the player if they are good or bad, while the old version gives you the basic data and lets you know if you maybe got the most kills, more revives etc. This allows players to let them decipher how well they play. Blatantly placing a player at 3rd place turns this into a forced competitive game for chill players like me who dont play very well. The game is implying that even though I feel like I played well(which is what matters in a game to have fun) The game is instead telling me that no, you play like shit and the other players are better than you.

As such, I hope that at least this feedback will be taken into consideration, and add a toggleable option to turn it off. The old version was much better. Otherwise you might be pushing chill players away from the game, as it seems like the game is taking a more competitive approach.

Feedback: Improving the Battle Pass Value Prop and Store Optimization
I love The Finals and I played in season one, I wish I could play it more with my limited time, but every time I launch the game I'm met with some new type of update to some aspect of the game that makes me feel like they don't care as much about their community anymore or perhaps they have become too micro-transaction centered... whatever the case though, I am just one voice I thought it best to at least voice my opinions and hope someone with the ability to make change will understand.

Battle Pass Tiers: Currently, the $30 price point for the "ultimate" skins feels prohibitive for the average player. To foster a more inclusive community, I recommend allowing players to upgrade to the premium tiers using earned Multibucks. This rewards playtime and keeps the casual player base engaged. (Or just lowering this lucrative cost)

Store Over-Saturation & Value: Currently, the store feels oversaturated. When it feels like almost every skin ever released is constantly available, it diminishes the prestige of owning them. There’s less incentive to "buy now" because the sense of rarity is gone. A more curated, rotating selection would restore that feeling of value to our purchases.

UI Performance: The sheer volume of items is causing significant performance issues. My screen consistently freezes while scrolling through the shop, which creates a technical barrier to even browsing the content you're trying to sell.

Suggestion

Random player outfit with favourites (like what we just got for weapons).

If you could then assign different weapon skins to those outfits, instead of to loadouts that would be amazing.

This next one may be asking a bit much, but if "random favourite weapon skin" was unique to each outfit, that would go crazy. Literally perfect.
I match my weapon skins to my fits a lot, and make themes. If it worked like that, you could have multiple skins of one weapon that fit the theme of that outfit. All without having to micromanage them. This would further incentivise owning more than one skin on a weapon.

An example. My Goblin themed light outfit could equip "random favourite weapon skin" on dagger and have it choose between the Crit Writer and the Wraithwing. Then I could swap to Chef light outfit and have it choose between the Ominous Osthyvel, and Three Virtues.

Hello, Embark! Been playing since Season 7 and want to give some feedback on the new map from my first session in Season 10. I played both Point Break and TDM, and I unfortunately have to say I don't like the map very much. There's simply way too much open space with things that can't be destroyed. For a medieval map, I would have expected being inside a massive Elden Ring-style castle you can break into and fully demolish, with things like a front gate, or a moat, or a throne room, y'know, stuff like that. The new map is just a village which could have been a starting point, but it doesn't really go anywhere and feels sort of boring in that regard. The linearity of the map makes PB feel more like any other first person shooter. Other maps embrace the chaos of people being able to come from any direction. Since everyone's always coming from one direction, defense is incredibly easy and offense has no variety, in my opinion.

For TDM, the map and its variants are especially sniper-favored due to all the open space and lack of meaningful destructible environments. I suppose I could spend most of the round going around destroying all the little houses and everything, but I have never seen this as a problem in a single one of the other TDM maps, and TDM is my most played game mode by a large margin. Since revive statues have been removed, it is also not possible to know where teammates died in TDM anymore, and I gave feedback a while ago that this makes it very difficult to counterattack without that info. With this map being heavily sniper-favored, the lack of any type of skull icon or something to let us know where teammates died is super punishing, and for no good reason. And this map also doesn't have it's own round-ending music theme. Now that's disappointing to me especially.

Quick Play has become very difficult to enjoy. When someone leaves a match midway, about 90% of the time no one joins to fill the spot. On top of that, your matchmaking often places average players together with high-ranked players, which leads to extremely one-sided matches.

You want more players to join the game, but if a new player’s first match is this stressful, how can you expect them to stay? I understand that many people have probably already reported these issues, but I honestly haven’t seen any action taken. At the very least, you could acknowledge these as known issues in regular shop updates. However, even after 5 to 6 seasons, the problems have still not been improved.

I've been playing grapple since OB, taking it to diamond in ranked several times. Embark, if you want grapple to be viable, reducing the cooldown by 1 second will NOT do this. The problem with grapple is that it is only one charge. This means it can be used to enter a fight, or exit a fight only. If I grapple into a fight, then I cannot exit and will die unless I kill every other player. If I always keep it to escape, then it becomes extremely difficult to ever flank. If light is meant to be a hit and run class, grapple having 1 charge only allows a light player to do one of these actions. Until this is changed, grapple will NEVER be meta. As it is currently, it forces the light to run some sort of escape gadget like goo grenade otherwise it is unplayable, which prevents the player from picking up other gadgets that are necessary in the current meta (H+, glitch, vanish). If I were to change it, here's how.

Hello, it would be quite nice, if possible, to give us an option to convert VRS into Legacy Battlepass Points, this would actually give purpose to the currency nowadays for people that have it maxed out 24/7.
Even if the rates are absurd, it would still be nice to be capable of spending those rather than sit on a pile, buy sights when a new weapon drops and repeat the process.

Season 10 is not nothing, but it is also nowhere near the kind of update that will actually turn things around.

Yes, there are some decent changes. The Ranked matchmaking changes sound better than before like solo queue, so I can give Embark that. But most of the core problems are still here.

There is still no match history.
There is still no proper career profile with real long-term stats.
There is still no in-game LFG with filters or proper direct chat tools.
There is still no real numerical ping/latency indicator.
There are still no proper numerical weapon stats.
Directional audio still needs real fixing.
The no-shooting bug still needs to be fixed once and for all.
Hitreg and servers still need real improvement.
Keybinds per class/loadout would still be a huge quality-of-life feature.

The respawn changes also do not look like a real fix to bad respawn locations. They look more like spawn-selection tweaks. People will still learn and abuse the same awful spawn spots, camp them, and punish re-entry because the underlying map flow and level design problems are still there.

The new UI/comms additions are fine, but locking cooldown info behind wheel communication is still the wrong call. That information should be visible directly under teammate names at all times, not hidden inside another input layer.

And where is the serious action on cheaters and griefers? The game is still full of people blatantly ruining matches, and the patch notes do not make it sound like Embark is actually getting ahead of that problem.

Also, no, these are not all fresh new players. A lot of them are just smurfs.

So yes, Season 10 has some improvements. But it still does not address enough of the real issues that make Ranked and overall match quality frustrating.

The UI Updates to ranked does nothing. There is a simple change, incentivize money, more money equals more RS.

There are so many sick intros that have goofy poses (due to clipping with the pet, aliased effects, etc) on the cards, which I avoid to keep the card looking crisp.

Even if it's not 40Âș,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees and weapons can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
If you want to solve the problem, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. The problem was solved without unfairly messing with the controls. Of course, dmg must also be reverted. Just revert it to S1.

No it shouldn’t, winning doesn’t tell you which players actually performed the best, it is just who managed to get the objective first a lot of the time. The extra stats and mvp screen and “seasons best” stats are actually really refreshing, my mates and I were hyped even after losing by the tiniest amount that we were all MVPs, it instantly softened the loss.

Small QOLs

  • please give us Direct messages for friends.

  • change sights in practice range.

  • 8 man stacks for point break.

  • spin other player characters, or allow us to see them spinning them.

  • expand the career page to include assists, objectives and support, maybe even assists/elims with specific weapons and gadgets, and uses or damage blocked from shields and goo, amount of MVPs could be a new stat too.

It's a very unique feeling to see players coming up with different uses of the new gadgets. It's like seeing a skateboard gang sharing their tricks like "look at this new cool trick I found!" and they're not even bad too, they're actually useful and awesome.

Point Break additions are great however I dislike the medieval map so far. Maybe it'll grow on me, I hope its not another Kyoto.

Recap 2.0 is also great.

I hope we'll see some mid-season content though as the season does feel a bit light. Maybe because I dont typically play Medium.

The new medium specialization and platform gadget seem to allow for a lot of creativity and its been pleasant to hear the discord server users working out new tactics in point break pugs.

Overall still my favorite fps and I look forward to the future (but the melee rework has me concerned as a longtime sledge player)

Serious feedback on Sword

I played Sword for about 1000h (hit rank 90 with it before) and a few things get lost in the heated "Sword is overpowered/unplayable" discussion.

First of all both sides need to be understood where they are coming from.

Yes in a casual lobby where people don't hit the important shots a Sword that is just running around and left clicking people to death seems absurd, overpowered and has little to do with skill expression.

The Problem is as soon as you cross the line of people investing enough time to hit even just a moderate amount of their shots left clicks become less and less viable and you have to learn combos and movement tricks to minimize the damage you take while maximizing the damage output. That's where the sword lunge comes in. Lunging is the part where skill expression shows with movement, spacial awareness and positioning. With reducing the damage AND introducing a rotation clamp the lunge becomes really clunky to use and less effective than the simpler M1 spamm.

So what can Embark do to fix the issue for both sides ? Put the focus of the weapon back on the lunge to reduce frustrating scenarios.

Second Problem, lunging through an entire team and dealing massive damage with very little counterplay should not be a thing. It is very frustrating to play against and extremely situational. It should be like other melee weapons. Left clicking less damage but can multihit and the "special attack" single target but is special in some way. Hammer has a single target high damage and destruction. Sword should have single target damage on the lunge but high mobility.

The rotational clamp itself got introduced to get rid of people 360° rotating through an entire team for a huge hurtbox and is without multihits therefore redundant.

I intentionally didn't talk about hit registration because it haunts the game as a whole and has only gotten worse in the beginning of season 10 but of course that increases the frustration for alot of people. Like all other bugs it should not be a reason to increase/decrease the weapons power and should rather be fixed.

Changes

M1 Damage 88 -> 74 (one more left click for each class)

Lunge Multihits -> removed
Lunge Damage 120 -> 140 (without multihits and less left click damage you need the combo breakpoint of 138 to have a fighting chance)
Lunge rotational clamp -> removed

Other Feedback

Ranked needs one less round. The current playerbase can't sustain proper matchmaking with 24 player lobbies. Cutting it in half with 12 player lobbies and 2 rounds for everyone so even the "losing teams" play for 3rd place would not only help with players being on similar skill levels but also relieve frustration for the casual playerbase from losing rs in 15 mins but gaining the same amount in 45 mins.

Small QOL Updates You have the so many good features that would be little work for you but would impact the community positively and fill the content breaks. One example would be releasing the collected data about weapons etc. as an api just like for example "op.gg" or "lolalytics" from League of Legends. Collab with the talented people in your community that already built sites like the leaderboard/bans/rename tracker. Other ones would be changing the weapon stats to numbers instead of a vague bar so it's more readable, adding assists to the profile or having a simple match history that locally saves the stats of the last 10 games or so.

Kinda minor in the grand scheme, but the video tutorials for Cashout, Quick Cash and Power Shift have a mix of bad voice over (earlier versions of Scotty & June feel jarring) and outdated information (emphasizing being able to change classes in PS when that's now standard).

So after trying out for a while on the shockwave and crossbow I'm going to give my full opinion on it.

  1. The shockwave is great for Mobil and utility something the medium class needed outside of launch pad. It can be countered however but can easily buy you an extra second or two.

  2. The crossbow is alright, its not the best weapon and is easily counterable but can be used to assist with chip damage. Especially since its more silent it can make long shots easier to conceal.

  3. The new map is amazing, i absolutely love it.

  4. The hoverpad is best not high in the air but an extra path for other classes between gaps. However I've seen a lot of misuse on it

  5. The battle pass is amazing, skins look nice and my wallet cried on the cosmetics.

  6. The minigun change is a huge welcome. It really needed the extra ammo. Makes people being more punished being open and close ranged when a heavy is nearby (and you are definitely going to attract tf2 heavy mains to the game now)

This is a great update.

I love the Shockwave but I use Q for me special and holding it is difficult. I did try various other keybind configuration with Shockwave on Mouse 4 which was the most comfortable obviousaly however that was way too much of a difference for me given the hours I have with my current set up. Idk if toggling it would make it busted so if that was tested internally already than I understand.

Playing competitive as a soloqueue player really sucks. It's one of the worst experiences of the game. Doing something that would make it better for players that do queue solo would be a game changer. Early seasons really sucks because of the mixed ranges of skill, one match you're playing with silver teammates and against ruby players, the other match you're in a team full of ruby players but gain 200rs for winning a match. It shouldn't be like this.

You've made it so the CL40 is effectively the worst medium weapon by far (before it was not good but still viable), it is ineffective at close range (you can be blitzed by any close range weapon in a fraction of a second) and is easily outgunned at most ranges from medium to long.

The Chimera XB is not really satisfying to use imo. The sound it makes when it fires is just underwhelming (I get that its a crossbow and thats how they sound, but its just not going to sound as cool as a gunshot would), and it is a little weird that it's hitscan as well.

Alternate idea for crossbow:

  • Make the crossbow a fast projectile weapon

  • give it incendiary bolts that can catch enemies on fire (like the Cerberus)

  • give the incendiary bolts the ability to create small fires in the environment that persist for a few seconds if enough bolts are fired at the same spot (similar effect to the fire of an orange barrel)

Did y'all take 4 months to make THIS season? I don't hate the content. But you've cooked MUCH more than this previously.

At first I was really happy. My favorite mode is Point Break, so win for me. I'm a medium main so all new stuff is for me. But then I realized all that you changed this season was:

  • 1 new gun
  • 1 new gadget
  • 1 new spec
  • 1 new map ONLY in TDM and PB
  • A few new comms options
  • That's it.

Friendly reminder that this new map is just you putting generic huts in the PEACE centre map.
The crossbow is in too many ways similar to the LH1, like damage and ammo cap. Almost a hitscan too.

And moreover failed to understand the expectations of the community, or at least act upon them.
The fact that most of these expectations were nothing crazy (all we asked for was a map with a little castle with a drawbridge, and the rest of the map with huts, no crazy nerf or buff, no crazy new mechanic, just that.) makes this even worse.

I love this update personally, but it's way too lacking after a 4 month season.

Personally the medieval theme is really disappointing, if its something you wanted im glad u got what u wanted (although i think you have bad tastes) i get its a vr game show yaddah yaddah they can do whatever they want but it just doesnt make any sense to me. You have successfully taken away my favorite casual game modes for 2 seasons in a row now. Head 2 Head and Terminal Attack were game modes that felt different from the rest. I don’t understand why you want to remove all the variety from the game. And replace it with this chaotic mess called Ppint Break. No strategy at all. Just overwhelm 1 terminal with as many players as possible. Rinse and repeat.
I love this game, but I get tired of third party tactics and H2H or Terminal Attack offered a break from that in a casual format.

Season 10 is not nothing, but it is also nowhere near the kind of update that will actually turn things around.

Yes, there are some decent changes. The Ranked matchmaking changes sound better than before like solo queue, so I can give Embark that. But most of the core problems are still here.

There is still no match history.
There is still no proper career profile with real long-term stats.
There is still no in-game LFG with filters or proper direct chat tools.
There is still no real numerical ping/latency indicator.
There are still no proper numerical weapon stats.
Directional audio still needs real fixing.
Hitreg and servers still need real improvement.
Keybinds per class/loadout would still be a huge quality-of-life feature.

The respawn changes also do not look like a real fix to bad respawn locations. They look more like spawn-selection tweaks. People will still learn and abuse the same awful spawn spots, camp them, and punish re-entry because the underlying map flow and level design problems are still there.

The new UI/comms additions are fine, but locking cooldown info behind wheel communication is still the wrong call. That information should be visible directly under teammate names at all times, not hidden inside another input layer.

And where is the serious action on cheaters and griefers? The game is still full of people blatantly ruining matches, and the patch notes do not make it sound like Embark is actually getting ahead of that problem.

Also, no, these are not all fresh new players. A lot of them are just smurfs.

So yes, Season 10 has some improvements. But it still does not address enough of the real issues that make Ranked and overall match quality frustrating.

The UI Updates to ranked does nothing. There is a simple change, incentivize money, more money equals more RS.

Nah bro, performing the best ≠ being the most valuable. For your team yes, for the game no. There's no value in losing. If a losing team gets the MVP that means they could have lost with or without them. Its a competitive game, winning is the main end goal, the post game stats you see after the game are all just means to the end goal. If they got to the objective first the "MVP" failed to break through their defense. Giving losers MVP is cope to stop soft players from tilting after a loss.

Anyone else not like point break on nozomi/citadel, I feel like it doesn’t play well, and it’s made worse with the way the new coin refresh system is in the game mode. I want the old way of refreshing for point break back tbh

Nozomi: make the points closer together

Revert the new coin fresh system so the attackers get 15 after they clear the whole wave of objectives. Adding 5 after every point makes it so if the defenders get the attackers down to like 2, then they get 5 more after clearing the final obj in a wave, they’re stuck with 7 coins to attack 3 objectives. Makes the gamemode more defender sided now which kind of sucks.

Please bring back Head2Head. Me and many others enjoyed it quite much and was basically the only gamemode we played. It allowed us to play a fair 1 team vs 1 team without having to stress and was a really good “chill” mode for when you didn’t want to sweat or try hard.

Decrease the stun time for the winch claw. I don't know what Dev thought it would be a good idea to give the heavy class an ability to stun people, when we already went through this with the light class. But now it's worse because the heavy class has way more health.

Shockwave is a really incredible addition to the game, insanely high skill ceiling on the ability, but it’s also really easy to screw yourself over with a bad bounce (sometimes I cover ground really quickly, sometimes I pop myself straight up in the air and make myself an easy kill). Crossbow does damage way too quickly for how accurate it is. Repeater already deleted Lights, but now it’s more oppressive than the Repeater. The fire rate for the crossbow is way too fast for a weapon that does 50 damage a shot; why use Pike?

With Repeater you at least you get enough time between shots to react and attempt to evade the second shot.

I had an issue where the game didn't connect me to a cash out. the new map also is very unfriendly to the barricade there are alot of weird spots that it doesn't deploy where you would think it would. Personal gripe, the new specialty having 2 changes is insane I think it makes defending the cashouts kinda so simple low key not to say goo, or stun doesn't do similar but goo gun has alot less versatility compared to the new specialty.

Serious feedback on Sword

I played Sword for about 1000h (hit rank 90 with it before) and a few things get lost in the heated "Sword is overpowered/unplayable" discussion.

First of all both sides need to be understood where they are coming from.

Yes in a casual lobby where people don't hit the important shots a Sword that is just running around and left clicking people to death seems absurd, overpowered and has little to do with skill expression.

The Problem is as soon as you cross the line of people investing enough time to hit even just a moderate amount of their shots left clicks become less and less viable and you have to learn combos and movement tricks to minimize the damage you take while maximizing the damage output. That's where the sword lunge comes in. Lunging is the part where skill expression shows with movement, spacial awareness and positioning. With reducing the damage AND introducing a rotation clamp the lunge becomes really clunky to use and less effective than the simpler M1 spamm.

So what can Embark do to fix the issue for both sides ? Put the focus of the weapon back on the lunge to reduce frustrating scenarios.

Second Problem, lunging through an entire team and dealing massive damage with very little counterplay should not be a thing. It is very frustrating to play against and extremely situational. It should be like other melee weapons. Left clicking less damage but can multihit and the "special attack" single target but is special in some way. Hammer has a single target high damage and destruction. Sword should have single target damage on the lunge but high mobility.

The rotational clamp itself got introduced to get rid of people 360° rotating through an entire team for a huge hurtbox and is without multihits therefore redundant.

I intentionally didn't talk about hit registration because it haunts the game as a whole and has only gotten worse in the beginning of season 10 but of course that increases the frustration for alot of people. Like all other bugs it should not be a reason to increase/decrease the weapons power and should rather be fixed.

Changes

M1 Damage 88 -> 74 (one more left click for each class)

Lunge Multihits -> removed
Lunge Damage 120 -> 140 (without multihits and less left click damage you need the combo breakpoint of 138 to have a fighting chance)
Lunge rotational clamp -> removed

Other Feedback

Ranked needs one less round. The current playerbase can't sustain proper matchmaking with 24 player lobbies. Cutting it in half with 12 player lobbies and 2 rounds for everyone so even the "losing teams" play for 3rd place would not only help with players being on similar skill levels but also relieve frustration for the casual playerbase from losing rs in 15 mins but gaining the same amount in 45 mins.

Small QOL Updates You have the so many good features that would be little work for you but would impact the community positively and fill the content breaks. One example would be releasing the collected data about weapons etc. as an api just like for example "op.gg" or "lolalytics" from League of Legends. Collab with the talented people in your community that already built sites like the leaderboard/bans/rename tracker. Other ones would be changing the weapon stats to numbers instead of a vague bar so it's more readable, adding assists to the profile or having a simple match history that locally saves the stats of the last 10 games or so.

I thought about this seasons ago, Embark could add tons of cool animations that would easily sell at 100-300 MB.


Honestly Embark has done a good job on many aspects for the launch of this season, but the Chimera-XB is a HUGE disappointment. It gives the impression that any sense of balance has been forgotten/ignored when designing the weapon.

You can't possibly give the same gun such a low recoil, tight hipfire accuracy, high ROF, high ammo capacity with 40+ damage... Using any other Medium weapon feels like a chore. Why would I put up with the FCAR and its annoying recoil pattern, or sweat trying to hit every shot with the R357 or CB-01, when I can just use the Chimera and spam LMB at the enemy without even needing to ADS ? It's just effortless.

I haven't checked the actual stats, I suppose the Chimera has worse optimal TTK than some Medium weapons, but optimal TTK is rarely every reached in any fight as per Embark's devs own words in the patch note.

This thing really needs to be reworked.

  • Add projectile behavior and bullet drop near max range for all guns, just like KS23 and SR84. This will make it easier for teams to fight campers guarding cashout stations in open areas

  • Add 40 damage to direct hits with MGL32, letting it break arena props and shields while also rewarding accurate body hits

  • Add a midair detonation trigger for MGL32 and CL40 with aim button, allowing for early detonation of the shots at 50% damage so that they can still be useful when out of position

  • Make all Pike .556 scopes available for the SR84, and vice versa

  • Give Pike to Heavy. Pike is a weak weapon and Crossbow is a straight-up better that it semi-auto marksman weapon. The low dps on Pike would be a better fit on Heavy class, bridging the gap between the Akimbo and Titan

  • Make KS23's hipfire accurate like all other shotguns, lack of headshot and hitscan already makes it too weak and unreliable compared to Akimbo and BFR

  • Remove the last 2 spins on Spear's heavy attack, or better yet, turn it into a charged spear throw with more damage than the Bow but shorter range, longer chargeup and slower recovery

  • Hide kill noises and scoreboard notifications for Dagger backstab eliminations

  • Rework Cloaking Device into a Phasing Device, which also lets users move through walls at a massive energy cost, adding useful mobility tech

  • Rework Guardian Turret to instead deploy 2 smaller turrets with less health, damage and cooldown

  • Add a 20 damage explosion to gas burns, making gas+fire loadouts actually useful for offense

  • Let explosions and destructions create craters on the ground as makeshift covers in open areas, allowing for trench warfare similar to BF6

  • Add knockback to explosive self-damage, allowing for tricks like Rocket Jumping and Nade Boosting from TF2

  • Add double jumps, wall running and wall kicks for all classes, like Titanfall

  • Remove ADS slow for shotguns, since they don't gain accuracy on aim anyways

Personally, I think the new crossbow is a lazy addition to the game, overpowered, and needs a nerf. It is unironically just a better LH1. Lights SHOULD have the edge on dps across all classes due to being literally one shot by like 10 sources. WHY would you skin a gun from the light class and IMPROVE it, and then hand it to the class with the widest and most impactful utility options in the game. I genuinely think that just bumping the damage down a bit and slowing its projectile speed would balance it out fine. META weapon out of the gate smh. It was bad enough to have thermal disabled. hey guys, great fan of The Finals here, first of all thank you for that great great game! I really appreciate all the effort you put in this project and it delights my every day.
BUT... I have a problem. I am colorblind. That is, I confuse colours, specially the similar ones. And your colour decisions are... let's say very creative. I do love the colourfulnes of the game, but there is no way for me to differenciate between all the teams. I could break that down for you in all colorblind modes, but I'll just stick to the example of having yellow and bright orange as enemy colours, or purple and blue. Most of the time I can't make out which enemy team to shoot, or if they even are my team members or not. Add that to the fact that you do not simply put a colour filter on the colours in the game, but actively change the team's colours from purple to yellow for example, makes teammate's callouts irritating and frustating. I do not unterstand why you chose such confusing colours, I don't think it's necessary and it in fact lowers the gameplay experience and the fun I'm having by a chunk!
I heared similar complaints by other people who aren't even colourblind. Can you adjust the colours to 4 standart, easily distinguishable colours, like blue / pink / deep orange / dark green / light turquoise / bright yellow / even try white? Or, since the callouts get confused anyway, let us set our own colours?
I am really hoping you'll adress that issue and make your game more accessible for everyone, increasing the fun for everyone. Thank you so much already and again, thank you for The Finals! Keep up the good work! <3, Seraph

Q/C used to offer this. You could hop on & have 15-30 min of Cash-Out paced games. It was sweaty it was awesome. Spawn timers got changed to waves & completely changed the game mode.

Hearts were broken & we were forced into 40 minute Cash Out tournaments if you wanted those fights and that pacing.

H2H was the only casual game mode where you can have those long drawn-out fights. You took our boss battles away from us EMBARK.

I think the next level way to improve the contestant system is to have each slot correspond to a LMH trio

You can assign a skin to every weapon/gadget, you could assign a skin to each weight class (and even optionally do a daytime vs nighttime toggle)

That way I could consolidate my Light 3, Medium 2, and Heavy 2 from the attached screenshot into one slot, have that be my Volpe/Dissun contestant(s), and still have plenty of slots to do the same thing with Iseult or whatever sponsor/theme I want

They've only buffed weapons this season? Unless you're comparing to season 1, the ttk should feel similar if not better than last season. Also poke weapons are still viable, medium revolver has been fun to use last season and it likely will remain viable, repeater never left the meta entirely despite it's nerf (i hate that gun tho). The new crossbow seems promising and is semi-auto. For light you have the sniper which has been niche, but viable (and is now slightly buffed), LH1 and V9S which have been good for a while, and bow which is decent if you main it. Dagger is kind of a meme, but sword is viable if you can learn the weapon. All of heavies weapons are good besides spear (although it can be abused with barricade and other bs tech) and mgl (mgl is kind of a throw/just having fun pick tbh).

There's something wrong with Starlight Hollow's initial spawns - it feels incredibly easy for first contact to be initiated on the far left Grand Vault side where the huts are. There's an entire open wheat field where attackers spawn and defenders can climb on top of the huts they spawn next to shoot down on the attackers.

For some reason it feels like the Defenders have an incredibly easy time pushing up into the Attacker's spawn, which can lead to some very lopsided matches in the Defenders' favor.

The cover on the left and right sides of the first phase seems to be decent enough for attackers, but there seems to be almost no cover in the middle for attackers to make use of.

Please consider adjusting Wave Respawn timers in Quick Cash. I would suggest by +3 seconds, minimum 10 seconds for a team wipe. It is far too common that the first team to wipe during a Cashout phase is ultimately best positioned to third party the other two teams and win the cashout almost for free.

I often do not feel like I'm being out-skilled, just out-spawned by timers that are too forgiving. Especially with the new enhanced movement options making returning to the combat zone very fast.

Two small suggestions for the practice range:

  1. There should be a toggle on the Loadout switcher (or really anywhere) that lets you have infinite charges on all gadgets and specs. It would make practicing shockwave movement so much less tedious.
  2. The shooting gallery should have a headshot/bodyshot/miss percentage displayed alongside the timer for better feedback on your aim.

Love the game but I’ll be moving on, along with my friend, if H2H doesn’t come back. It best mirrored the cashout mode without being a long tournament or too chaotic. It was also the best mode to recommended to new people so they could learn without getting overwhelmed and quitting. Quick cash is a very different mode that’s a third party simulator and ends up more in non-stop battles than actually strategizing and setting up a point.

What if:

-Event forecast was listed on event screen before picking loadout so you could plan/choose accordingly

-there was an event that forced every player to swap/randomize every element of their loadout until the event was over. Would be suitable for a CNS hack of sorts thematically. For fairness, maybe switch every class in the match to the same randomized loadout— could even give abilities and gadgets a class doesn’t usually have access to, like grapple heavy, winch medium, and charge & slam light, etc.

-multiple events could happen simultaneously in different areas of the map- adds to the chaos and gives players the agency to avoid events they don’t like or embrace the ones they do

-alien event (or almost any event, for that matter) had some indestructible carriable on the map that they were specifically targeting or centered around, such that one could grab it and use it to direct the area of destruction/chaos, kind of like a game of hot potato with a strategic element

-there was a “portals aplenty”/“gateways galore” event that randomly spawned pairs of gateways around the map

-more map hazards in general. There are plenty of instakill bottomless pits, but what if there were the occasional incinerator, or massive, industrial shredders to fall into or push players into. Perhaps button activated?

-like the walls on Monaco, where activating a button raises one and closes the other, what about buttons that close one pitfall and open another? Could be fun, and would add a dynamic element to a map. Could be time limited, similar to cannons, to prevent cutting off access to an area entirely by spamming the pits. Or buttons that activate a portal or a temporary, alternate path to get across isolated areas like high rise modes or hospital on Seoul.

Just some random thoughts that could be fun

Do not make RS gains/losses based on "personal performance". There is no reasonable way to determine personal performance in ranked. Combat / Support / Objective / Etc means nothing. This will cause even more COD players wondering off from the team and taking pop shots across the map, instead of teamplay, which is what this game requires.

i think people should be rewarded rs for bugged placement games. At the very start of the season, ranked placement matches did not award the correct rs. People like myself did not get as much rs as we should have (can also be seen with carnifex who won all placements and got 28750 rs). I did better than both my team mates in my placements, and placed higher rs last season, and i got placed 26k. They both got placed 35k and 37k. Now i have to grind for about 15 hours just to catch up to them, which isn't really fair.

GIVE BREACH DRILL A REMOTE!!! you could make the cooldown longer, but the Demat and Breach drill need to serve relatively different purposes in order to be used. nerf fcar by like 10 rpm, it currently shreds everything (will become unhealthy, i can smell it), maybe tune up the dome a bit because of the direct counter, and buff the pad's hp and dim the lights (you breathe hard enough and it vanishes). Chimera also kinda serves as another rifle, just a toned down lh1 for medium. DON'T TOUCH THE SHOTGUNS, the new spec pairs well with them.

as for the academy, maybe add strategies for each specialization and teamplay for each as that seems to be a focus, as well as more information about arena destruction/manipulation. otherwise all the videos are great and have lots of info for new and returning players. So far its a fun season with a decent balance, but I can see heavy and light being dropped for another medium in general as medium just covers absolutely everything. Why use glitch when I can have a data reshaper on one medium and have two jump pads on a team with either two heals or heals and a dash?

Also, fix ranked pretty please. half of the issues are because there are not enough players, and the other half is just matchmaking, rs gain/loss, and smurfs. (pretty please make more gem skins, they look a googolplexillion better with the carbon fiber, and having level skins as such would be AMAZING. (side note, make weapon XP easier to get, too many levels and it's super slow).

As someone who has been wanting a crossbow in this game for such a long time, I am really disappointed in the chimera xb. Usually the finals is really good about keeping gunplay consistent with legitimate firearms, but this is just not how a crossbow works at all. Crossbows that have the sort of two bow design can fire two quick shots in a row, but they need to take time to reload each shot. It can’t just rapid fire 15 bolts in the span of five seconds. I really wish that embark made a crossbow that loaded one bolt at a time, that did high burst damage, but it requires more reload management/aim, even if it was an absolutely terrible weapon. The crossbow could’ve been so unique to this game, but embark basically turned it into something that rivals P90.

1/4 of my 11k deaths are from getting defibbed in unsafe situations by most teammates when i'm solo. if we don't get a "refuse defibrillator" button, or the game doesn't get a feature where you cannot be defibbed if the enemy is within like 15m and has LOS of you 10 seconds after you die, i'm not gonna play as much s11

on that note, i've lost the last 5 solo que games in point break becasue matchmaking expects me to win vs 5+3 stacks, i'm actually giving up solo que PB this is disappointing

Why not have the KD Stat at the end screen be replaced by a dynamic stat? Like Your Healing Done, Damage Blocked, or at least Assists.

Stats for Heal Beam and other healing tools along with Damage Blocking Tools are tracked for XP so it means they could be displayed at the end card. I think it would be a fun incentive for folks to try helping the team more by mitigating damage taken and helping with kills instead of just outright killing.

Well, they broke the light melee class. Now it's impossible to play as a light swordsman, at most against other light classes.

Heavy classes run around with flamethrowers or sledgehammers.

Medium classes run around with a new class and crossbows, and they simply knock you back when you try to close in, wasting all your dashes.

The dash cooldown has increased, and it's simply not enough. Now you have to think and relearn to have one more dash left in reserve.

Yes, I can still play as Light, but I do it much worse than before, now people don’t write to me that I’m fast as Lightning McQueen. alfaacta TFcoin đŸ€Ł

Hey Embark let’s summarise what you managed to do to this flawless game for the big season 10:

  • instead of reworking pike to have a role you managed to add a weapon that gives M the equivalent of L‘s V9S. Nobody asked for it but here we are, you might as well delete pike.(such a good idea to add weapons just for the sake of adding weapons right?)

  • you made the new map only available in PB/TDM instead of the game’s main mode. Phenomenal job!

  • winch is still in the game without any changes. How fun!

  • the delay on demat is still strong as ever making it horrible to use.

  • you nerfed dash because it’s annoying meanwhile you designed light to have to play like rats in order for them to have value.

  • in the longest trailer for this season you teased a fucking skin.(your gigabrain decisions amaze me every time)

  • you actually added a good spec that really should have been a gadget but hey it’s a small victory.

  • Minigun now has 300 bullets. Yes this is the buff it needed.

  • you buffed lockbolt. Thank god!

All in all I‘m pleasantly surprised that you managed to put one good thing into the game. Let’s see if next season you can keep it up or improve and do 2 things that make sense.

You announce new ranked updates and improvements and hope that more people will start playing this mode (even bragging that over 25% more players played Season 9 than before)
 yet you still punish players when there are leavers in the team....something your own system detects.

Can someone explain to me how it’s fair that if I’m left alone in a match, I still lose RP? You want to present this as a competitive game, but not only is there no real reward for playing ranked, you can’t even put together a stable, sensible system. You punish the player who actually stays and struggles through the match, while the others leave after 3 kills.

And let’s not even mention that you also punish teams in very close matches just for finishing last—you simply apply a pre-calculated value regardless of how the game actually played out. There’s not even the slightest effort to motivate players to keep playing or join this mode.

Make Starlight Hollow a permanent map in Pointbreak. You allready have it setup so why not make it a permanent map? It does not affect TDM in any way, it just means Pointbreak get a more diverse map pool.

The crossbow abd the gravity ball are pretty fun. Not to mention we got controler improvements, data reshaper has a use now and people have been forgetting about the new on boarding experience too. Like, this game really needs that.

Plus they'll probably have another weapon or more stuff next season, they literally said they wanted to make season 12 very special if you've seen the livestream. The fact that they're gonna be reworking the mess of melee is really exciting to me.

What is embark doing with the ranked matchmaking in S10? I was in plat last season and now I keep getting unbalanced as hell lobbies making my way out of silver impossible... I can't post the screenshot but i was in a lobby with my team having 47kRS and the closest team being 64k, and the top 1 and 2 teams 77k... In my team we are all 15k silvers but we have enemies with 27k (don't forget they added a limit of 10k for duos, which I appreciate because I play SoloQ, but you can fight teams of +12k :D)

Cosmetics suggestion:

There is currently an Amethyst-coloured badge awarded for reaching a high number of total wins, eliminations, revives, etc.

Do the same thing with weapons.

ie. Reaching 1000 kills with a weapon gives you an Amethyst skin for that weapon

Multiple people found that their major stutter issues in the game were fixed by disabling their HDD pagefile and enabling their SSD's ones. There are a whole host of things that can end up fixing issues like that, and players don't have an effective way to find out about them, so I think it would be good if the game had some in-game troubleshooting resources. Because otherwise when people's games are hardly playable they're just gonna quit.

The change to Point Break giving Attackers 5 coins rather than 15 at the end of the phase was subtle but seems to have a large positive impact. I feel like games this season have been less of a shutout in a phase, making matches more intense.

I haven't enjoyed Starlight Hollow but I think as the player base learns the map matches will improve. It seems more linear than I am used to but I can't say for certain.

Where are the previous rewards as the discription states in the world tour tab? I didnt recieve any of the previous charms for bronze, gold, plat or diamond. There should be a charm for each tier and a badge.

I was emerald 1 last season along with ranked diamond. But you changed the charms to be part of the world tour rewards , not the ranked rewards. I'd like it if you looked into everyone getting the promised "previous rewards" aswell as where you ended up when the season ended. Your text states : 250 multibucks + background + emblem + emerald reward coins + previous rewards" and the background shows the charms being part of each tier.

Otherwise reward the charms as part of the ranked system as it used to and reward the playerbase with the charms they earned through ranked for S9

Experimental idea:
Right now a MAJOR issue that is actually plaguing cashout, is how easy it is to just winch a cashout out into the open and play from there. This gameplay is incredibly boring.
A rough idea I had, is what if we implement some sort of "point break" area around the cashout? Make it larger of course as that is a pretty big part of the game, but still restrict it.
Like allow a large area of the building, and maybe a few meters (like only 2) all around the actual building.
This would make cashout fights far more fair, and interesting.
Again it is a really experimental idea, kind of a cashout for a weak type of test, but I think it would improve a lot.

the ranked servers are not working right, or the matchmaking is ignoring ping completely i have the red speedometer icon constantly in every match i played, but only in ranked. also ranked worked fine to me last season, the ping was fine and there were no issues, also other gamemodes work fine so its not on my end. its really annoying and unplayable. every action is delayed by like 300-500 ms, i can send videos if its needed, hit registration is very delayed and jumpad jumps are also delayed

Ever since the S10 Update i have had an issue when playing Cashout and Ranked Cashout specificly - I get a red clock Icon and lag as if im playing on NA server (im from EU)
All other modes work just fine and its not my PC Specs for sure plus i tried all the self troubleshooting there is and nothing works
The other Modes work fine but im really into Cashout
New content and skins are amazing but i got a bug and cant play :C

How to correctly balance the 93R (its current TTK is awful)

The 93R's current TTK is even worse than it was pre-S5 and in my honest opinion it is subpar versus other light class options (like the ARN, the XP-54, the V9S and the LH1).
This weapon gets out-damaged in most cases by the FAMAS (across all classes), a similar 3-round burst weapon with 4 more rounds in the magazine present in the medium class, which has 100 more HP.
In my opinion it doesn't make sense that the light class burst weapon has... less DPS potential than the medium class burst weapon?

Proposed 93R changes:
Damage: 24** (same)**
Burst delay: 0,275s > 0,23s

This change will result in the following TTKs (Time-to-kill):

Body:
light: 0,81s -> ** 0,72s** (7 shots) (does NOT 2 burst lights with body shots only)
medium: 1.28s -> 1,14s (11 shots)
heavy: 1.74s -> 1,56s (15 shots)

Head:
light: 0.47s -> 0,42s (5 shots)
medium: 0.81s -> 0,72s (7 shots)
heavy: 1.22s -> 1,08s (10 shots)

Damage drop-off minimum range: 30m ->** 27m**
Damage drop-off maximum range: 37.5m ->** 34.5m**
Damage Dropoff Modifier @ Max Range: 50%** (it stays the same)**

These changes will make the weapon solid while not making it overpowered; for comparison, the ARN, a weapon with effectively a 60 round magazine, more range, and fully automatic has TTKs that are on average 10% faster than the 93R. This makes it effectively a completely superior option while being easier to use and way more forgiving. Missing a burst on the 93R means you are extremely penalised in your killing potential. This isn't the case for the ARN.

With these changes, the 93R will not 2 burst lights with body shots only, which was the product of an oversimplified "nuclear" buff made in Season 5.
This proposal will also make the 93R less capable to poke at long range due to lower minimum and maximum drop-off ranges, leaving that task to options such as the ARN and the LH1 (preserves the weapon niche).

I heard that the devs are looking to revert the sniper back to being hitscan and as a diehard sniper main since season 2 who got to diamond initially by solo-queueing with just that weapon: I have literally never been happier

Till the day I die I'm an advocate for them reverting the sniper to the way it was and simply disabling it in power shift because I don't think a gun's competitive viability should be determined by a quickplay gamemode that plays vastly different to cashout

I wrote in my original review for The Finals too that the sniping in this game feels better than any sniper I've used in any other game ever (which I wrote before the hitscan change), and I really want to see my favorite weapon return to a state of relative viability. I've remained loyal to it since then regardless but the weapon is in dire need of a reversion

Serious feedback on Sword

I played Sword for about 1000h (hit rank 90 with it before) and a few things get lost in the heated "Sword is overpowered/unplayable" discussion.

First of all both sides need to be understood where they are coming from.

Yes in a casual lobby where people don't hit the important shots a Sword that is just running around and left clicking people to death seems absurd, overpowered and has little to do with skill expression.

The Problem is as soon as you cross the line of people investing enough time to hit even just a moderate amount of their shots left clicks become less and less viable and you have to learn combos and movement tricks to minimize the damage you take while maximizing the damage output. That's where the sword lunge comes in. Lunging is the part where skill expression shows with movement, spacial awareness and positioning. With reducing the damage AND introducing a rotation clamp the lunge becomes really clunky to use and less effective than the simpler M1 spamm.

So what can Embark do to fix the issue for both sides ? Put the focus of the weapon back on the lunge to reduce frustrating scenarios.

Second Problem, lunging through an entire team and dealing massive damage with very little counterplay should not be a thing. It is very frustrating to play against and extremely situational. It should be like other melee weapons. Left clicking less damage but can multihit and the "special attack" single target but is special in some way. Hammer has a single target high damage and destruction. Sword should have single target damage on the lunge but high mobility.

The rotational clamp itself got introduced to get rid of people 360° rotating through an entire team for a huge hurtbox and is without multihits therefore redundant.

I intentionally didn't talk about hit registration because it haunts the game as a whole and has only gotten worse in the beginning of season 10 but of course it increases the frustration for alot of people. Hit detection, desyncs and server performance in general should be a heavy focus for you because it is very frustrating and from experience playing with alot of different people a big reason people ragequit or in general leave the game. Like all other bugs it should not be a reason to increase/decrease the weapons power and should rather be fixed.

Changes

M1 Damage 88 -> 74 (one more left click for each class)

Lunge Multihits -> removed
Lunge Damage 120 -> 140 (without multihits and less left click damage you need the combo breakpoint of 138 to have a fighting chance)
Lunge rotational clamp -> removed

Other Feedback

Ranked needs one less round. The current playerbase can't sustain proper matchmaking with 24 player lobbies. Cutting it in half with 12 player lobbies and 2 rounds for everyone so even the "losing teams" play for 3rd place would not only help with players being on similar skill levels but also relieve frustration for the casual playerbase from losing rs in 15 mins but gaining the same amount in 45 mins.

Small QOL Updates You have the so many good features that would be little work for you but would impact the community positively and fill the content breaks. One example would be releasing the collected data about weapons etc. as an api just like for example "op.gg" or "lolalytics" from League of Legends. Collab with the talented people in your community that already built sites like the leaderboard/bans/rename tracker. Other ones would be changing the weapon stats to numbers instead of a vague bar so it's more readable, adding assists to the profile or having a simple match history that locally saves the stats of the last 10 games or so.

What Embark expect from a player who got put in a lobby where 4-6 people already leave before and the game is over in a bit because its a big loose already. Since season 10 dropped I am facing severe lag issues in-game. Where I tried other games on the same pc that is going well, I also tried different places to try the game and it’s the same issue. There’s a one second delay on everything, it registers too late for me to play a whole game. It’s happening on all game modes, even practice range. I think it’s an area issue? Idk, but this wasn’t there before the update. I’m playing from Lebanon, asked other players if they’re facing the same issues and they said yes.

Very few people are going to want a mages or wizards outfits with some huge modern logo down the side. Please keep the modern branding on the modern outfits only.   1. Chat censoring. Some normal words get censored while insults pass since the chat was introduced to the game.
  2. Hard-stuck bug after finding a game. Workaround is to restart the game, and bug has been around for several seasons.
  3. Cam gets stuck after getting killed. This bug is present since beta.
  • Queuing & Latency suggestions
  1. Show queue population and fix estimates.
  2. Show region to the entire party while queuing.
  3. Fix having to sync region with party leader so that you don't have lag.
  4. Show ping / packet numbers in game. Yellow/Red indicators don't have any value.
  • Accessibility

Footsteps and cashout steal sounds are hard to hear because other sounds often mask them.
Add accessibility options to:

  1. Increase those volumes
  2. Flash a bigger and noticable red light in the top left of the screen when a cashout is being stolen
  • Map Voting

Every mode should have it (Overwatch approach).

  • Ranked should have 1 less round (24 → 12 players)

One Cashout round followed by head-to-head matches → 1v2 & 3v4 → 2v3.

  • Anti-Smurf Detection

If a new account clearly performs above its skill level, it should be moved to higher-skill lobbies instead of facing new players. Repeated smurfing should lead to bans.

  • Duplicate + naming features for loadouts

Similar to outfits.

  • Polls & Roadmap

Players who invest time/money should influence direction (OSRS approach), not only the pro scene. Game needs more focus on casual.

i was referring to season 3 balance, it felt punchy back then, now with all the heal slop and almost every single unique weapon got nerfed to the point of unviability, everything feels way too similar and has been reduced to ar smg and lmg combat, and melee has been dumbed down and gutted. I use to love knife and cloak combo, but now that u have to hold down right click in order to do a stab, YOU CANNOT RUN, i am forced to use dash with knife if i want to be able to back stab. Also they made knife left click a thousand times stronger, i dont really need to backstab people. Sledge use to hit like a truck and now is just ok, not gonna be seeing one guy solo a team with it anymore though. ALSO BIG THING, some weapons should be objectively stronger and weaker, it makes for a much more interesting game. Have the highest damaging things be high skill, the average things just be average (aka what the whole game is now), and most important of all HAVE WEAK GUNS, I LOVE WEAK GUNS GRAHHHHHHHHHH. I like getting really good with really bad weapons and high skill high damage weapons, BUT EVERYTHING JUST IS THE SAME NOW 😭, its all so boring and side note one update made a lot of stuff slower and clunkier, hated that update. If i seem mean in this im not trying to be, its just i have been very passionate about this game and i hated the direction they took it, i blame the esports, it seems like they tried to make the game interesting for viewers by dragging out fights, yet it makes it so much worse to watch and play.

Instead of nerfing and calling it a buff, why don't they remove CL40 entirely? It's a low dps weapon with many handicaps: slow projectile speed, limited ammo, long reload time, hitbox bug on direct arm hit, AND the very unnatural multiplied self damage which makes it an easy target for melee and generally easy to counter simply by coming in the face. Did they really think that +5 damage will compensate for that? I understand the frustration of lights who are facing CL40 spammers but there would be many ways to solve that. The splash damage modifications would do the trick.

Okay, let's try to provide some actual substantive feedback on WHY crossbow is a problem, and why it's kind of odd they implemented it like this in the first place;

  1. This is just speculation right now, as I'm not even certain if it's a hitscan or projectile weapon, with the only evidence of such so far being that the trophy system gadget shoots it's bolts: Due to, presumably, the same reasons as the throwing daggers, it's headshot hitbox and general hitbox are both a bit more generous than non projectile weapons, hitting a bit further away than hitscan weapons. This is normally a tradeoff for the throwing daggers, but for the crossbow it has none of the ranged weaknesses in travel time.
  2. The dps is high, but this is not just because it's damage is comparative to the pike. Unlike the pike, it has none of the hipfire inaccuracy it has, and has almost zero recoil over range. this is understandable; in fact, the crossbow should really have zero recoil at all, considering... well, it's a crossbow. The problem is that the combination of these three creates the best CQC weapon in the finals right now, completely outshining TWO different weapons in their own category, the p90 and pike, and impinging on the Lever action as well.
  3. It has no travel time worth mentioning, and it has no arc. They balanced a hitscan crossbow like it had either of these things, and this is the result. I have to question if they just forgot to code those in, as the lack of gravity or arc is ludicrous with these stats. And even then, it would still be a cqc beast.
    In conclusion:
  • Give it actual travel time
  • Give it an arc
  • Remove it's recoil, because it's a damn crossbow.
  • Give it a longer reload OR lower fire rate, but not both.

I have had so much fun playing this game since S1, but matchmaking gets rough and unenjoyable so why not allow us to play how we want to in private lobbies? Modes like Heaven or Else and Heavy Hitters should be possible to do in private lobbies; such possibilities are what made titles like Halo absolutely memorable and forever respected. You've missed the reason that the Grapple is such an under picked option in comparison to the Wave Dash. people don't pick Wave Dash because of its recharge rate, they choose it because of its on demand mobility. something that the single Grapple Charge even when slightly buffed to have a slightly shorter cooldown cant match.
Even with the one second shaved off of its cool down time, you're still a sitting duck for the next 7 seconds while you wait for the Grapple to recharge. meanwhile you can pick up Wave Dash and get 3 instant dashes to help throw off an enemies aim. Hell, you could nerf the recharge down to 10-15 seconds per charge, but giving it that second charge is going to be the major deciding factor between this being a worth while pick and just remaining in the garbage can

This new MVP system is great, and I really like the idea, but the calculations behind who gets MVP need serious adjustment. I just got the most kills by 5, most combat by 2k, most objective by 1k, and most support by 100 and still only got third place, despite only having one death more than anyone else.

do you guys even play your own game? like 5 people use the double-barrel and you make it worse. I'm about ready to uninstall this shit man. I play something off-meta since season one because everything that everyone else plays is fucking boring, I get good with it, and you ruin it or make it much worse, this is the second time. I went from consistently having 2kd or better (my record last season was 21kd) on TDM, to having between .8-1kd just from this terrible change alone. The spread nerf did not help fights at range, and it made fights at close range even harder. This change may have been good if the net code wasn't garbage, but I have 2 fucking shots with a stupid ass cool down between them, and a 3 second reload and the hit reg is bad on a good day. You guys have made questionable balance changes since day one.

Fix the lag... A bunch of friends were getting into the game and have now rage quit because every couple of games is laggy as. We are all in Australia, connecting to oce. One game I will lag, another game my team mate will lag. The chances of all 3 of us playing without one lagging has gotten so bad they no longer want to play. It is not client side. This will kill the game...

Lights are just fucking fodder at this point.

Every ranked game is HHM, MMH. Heavies just sit in corners with a heal beam or a heal ball, throw shield, and winch enemies into a zone of absolute death, OR spam C&S when they're dying, OR throw up shield and suddenly OOPS no more kill for you.

WOW YOU BUFFED NULLIFER, THANKS SO MUCH. Oh but what's that? You nerfed the one thing that keeps lights viable in high level gameplay? Gee I bet that's gonna work out so well.

As a light there's literally no way to push a HHM or MMH team. Poking them? They just heal. Glitch them? Lasts 6 seconds, they still have the TTK to kill you if you engage, doesn't actually give you any advantage. Pop your head out for 1 goddamn second? RPG'd, shot, dead.

They have RPG (110) and C&S (100) (what's lights HP? Oh yes, 150), they have shields, heals, WINCH, and to top it all off they have weapons that flatline you, as a light, in 1/3 the time it takes you to kill them.

And now you just gave Medium the literal LH1 minus recoil, THANKS! You know what's crazy it that its actually BETTER than the LH1. Nice added spec btw, not seen 1 single person use it.

Oh and remember Thermal? Yeah that thing you said would "Be back soon"? That thing you removed 2+ seasons ago and heard not a fucking peep about since?

I'm actually done this time. I've played this game for years loyally, waiting for you to put COMMON SENSE CHANGES in, but you spit in my face.

For some reason I'm lagging, which I never had any problems with until the new season.
The only way to fix this temporarily is by un- and re-plugging my LAN cable but the problem seems to come back after a few minutes of playing, kinda annoying, I'm pretty certain this shouldn't be a problem on my end since all other games seem to work fine

Other modes are too chaotic, and you can’t even create proper methodical, strategic gameplay because you simply don’t have the time,with so many players running around!

It’s really unbelievable that a game with this much depth wastes its potential on modes that don’t let it shine as much as it could.

Almost all other modes fall behind in this aspect, whether by a little or by a lot. Head2Head had the best fundamentals to truly allow strategic gameplay to stand out, far more than the most modes and the main reason is the number of teams playing on a map at the same time.

When someone gets banned let us know their name or atleast what they got banned for and how long.

Chimera needs adjustments - more range, less dmg. Crossbows are meant to be really long range but getting hit by a arrow is less deadly as getting hit by a bullet.

Even if it's not 40Âș,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling. Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable, it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.
Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.
Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and look back to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to all weapons? Why, sword can’t look back like all do? Every weapon can naturally look back. But sword alone is restricted from doing that? Why do you discriminate only against the sword by calling it an “exploit” when all melees and weapons can do it?
Wildly spinning the aim actually wasn’t used, It was used only in very rare cases dumb enemies were stupidly stacked in one spot.
If you want to solve the problem, then just remove multi-hit.
Even if spins wildly, they’d only hit one target. That solves the problem. The problem was solved without unfairly messing with the controls. Of course, dmg must also be reverted. Just revert it to S1.
Why you have to ruin sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the nerf whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Who’s the narrow-minded person who decided on a patch like this that ruins sword’s identity by thinking “melee should just be dumb M1 spam?
Why do you ignore feedback from actual users of the weapon, Why are melees being treated unfairly? Just revert sword and melees nerf.

Honestly seeing the roadmap has let my hype for Season 11 a little down, knowing that besides the Melee Rework we are only getting a new Cashout map, and that the Big Update will be on Season 12..
Season 11 looks like for now just a transition to Season 12, but we will see I guess.

Why is it that in Cashout someone who doesn't connect at all isnt kicked from the match so the rest of the team can leave without penalty? Being forced to sit in a round for its entire duration as a 2 man team is extremely lame and a waste of time, esp when leaving results in a penalty for you, not them.

Head 2 Head was a pure experience of the Finals. It matched skill vs. skill instead of Quick Cash, which a rng third party simulator. QC basically non-stop fighting and who wins is who spawns in at the right time. H2H allowed for real strategy and had a great pacing to it. I haven’t logged in since it’s been gone. Please bring it back. Que times on NA servers for all modes is less than 2 minutes even in the middle of the night, idk know why it would be removed.

The hitscan vs. projectile situation needs to be addressed. Seeing very little change to the sniper this update is very disappointing, especially since making it hitscan again was on the table. The reality is that the BFR Titan still outperforms both the sniper and the KS (which are sniper like projectile weapons), while the “true sniper” is effectively a pistol.

I’m not complaining about the BFR being useful, it’s just that it renders the KS and sniper almost useless by being hitscan. Damage falloff means nothing when, in range, I still have to account for bullet drop and movement with the sniper. If the person I’m shooting at just dune sandworm walks, they survive.

Heavy as a class is already oppressive enough with its moderate damage, high ammo weapons. It really didn’t need a sniper pistol. I also see the spot the KS is in. I think it would have made more sense if it were pulled more in the direction of the Titan, and honestly, the Titan probably shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

For the KS to have its own niche, I think it should definitely have more environmental damage. That way, it can remain comfortably a projectile weapon without needing to compete directly with the BFR. But then again, why would you pick the KS when the BFR outperforms it? An interesting addition could be giving the KS the ability to pierce through thin walls with damage falloff. That would make gameplay with and against it more exciting and add a new element to the gameplay.

When it comes to the sniper, I thought maybe reducing its damage to compensate for making it hitscan would be enough but then you have the BFR’s damage values, which makes no sense. This goes back to my main point: the BFR puts both the KS and sniper in a bad position. You can try to create a new niche for the KS, but any sort of nerf to the sniper just makes it feel more like the BFR. It’s a bad situation overall. I think either the BFR or the sniper/KS needs a major rework.

It’s also odd that only those two firearms are projectile based while everything else is hitscan.

Now add the new medium crossbow to all of this. For some reason, it’s a hitscan weapon. If anything should have been a projectile, it should have been the crossbow. As it stands, it basically renders the pike useless, because why wouldn’t you pick a hitscan crossbow with very similar DPS that can also hipfire decently? None of this makes sense.

When you play a Light, you expect speed, not "here are 3 dashes with a 7-second cooldown each." So what, those 3 dashes will go off in 2 seconds, killing one enemy, and then what? Run and hide? You won't have time! Your Light isn't as fast as they make you think; the Heavies or Mediums are catching up.

Let them reduce Light's HP, but give them more speed; other classes shouldn't be able to keep up.
I'm also amazed by the sword's hitbox. Is it random or something? The sword lunge is something else entirely. They nerfed it so much that now even if it hits an enemy, the damage might not register. BUT THE SLEDGEHAMMER, IT DON'T CARE WHERE, WHERE, OR WHAT PART OF THE ANIMATION, IT'LL JUST KILL YOU, EVEN IF IT'S A SWING, EVEN HALF A SECOND AFTER THE HIT. THE SLEDGEHAMMER WORKS GREAT. OH YEAH, WHY DOES IT HIT A SPECIFIC RADIUS AND NOT LIKE A SWORD - ON POINT? As a last resort, maybe add the ability to hit people on the head with a sword? For extra damage? NO? WHY?

not only when i tried to queue into cashout and it saying there was a connection issue and trying to reconnect and getting the same pop up, while the issue only being fixed when i restart my whole game and then going to win the whole tournament and then seeing this? the amount of rage im holding back in this message. how can yall say yall made the game more stable but im experiencing so many more issues than i had before while also seeing people not connect to the same lobby after reconnecting after restarting my game

Okay, hear me out on this one. At some point, add an Exploration mode to go between all the maps and variations. And while in this mode, you have access to a unique primary camera-based weapon to take pictures of the arena to share with the community. This is inspired by photo games like Umurangi Generations and Shutter Stroll, with the first having more story to the settings, which the Finals could do with its Lore if wanting that extra spice. Recommend that one highly. Anywho, I think this would help market the game, offloading that burden upon the devs and sharing it with the community since teamwork makes the dream work.

The crossbow feels like a reskin pike but less recoil,sure it looks cool but feels boring,too similar to pike.

I always suggested a crossbow for heavy with a scope for long range snipes but it is a projectile with high drop off for skill expression.

U can still make it happen make a semi auto harpoon launcher for heavy.

For medium we need a claymore sword with primary attack having wide swings and holding alt deflects some bullets and holding alt and pressing primary attack will cause a downward swing.

If u manage to hit the head then it's critical damage.

MVP screen first place in powershift why combat score instead of objective play?
I don’t really like it, because for example in Power Shift there are snipers who just farm kills with basically zero objective score. They just sit there waiting for someone to be dumb enough to step onto the platform.

Half the match ends up being “feed the snipers.”

Meanwhile I’m playing Heavy — I turtle up with flamethrower, mesh shield, healing ball, barricades, dome shield — and I usually get like 8000–9000 objective score, but at least 5000 every game.

Yeah, I die a lot, (A LOT) not gonna lie. Sometimes I’m basically solo holding it down, we still win, but I end up with like 3–4 kills and 8-10 dead. I’m basically the one going up there to die or being the target.

So it was kinda surprising that with my last “thank me later” match, I’m nowhere on the MVP screen — even with 5000 support score and 8000 objective. Meanwhile there are players who never even step on the platform, basically 0 objective, just farming from range.

guys what the hell is going on with your anti cheat this season - you claim its better and for last season maybe it was for a short period. but for real this start of season is infested with blatant wallhackers and aimbotters - not even just in ranked but in cashout as well... you have a known hacker #2 on your ranked leaderboard and is also #5 on Cashout. is also running around with a season 9 ruby badge and headshotting people with BFR from 150+m away. Can you please just review how you guys process and intake bans and reports because whatever you are doing now is not working. love this game but the amount of cheaters right now is almost as bad as season 1 and the beta tests.

  • Map voting in QP, map bans in Ranked - players have more agency over our lobbies, the dev team gets to see which maps are played on more or less so you can decide what's in a healthy spot or what needs optimization or rebalancing. You are already experimenting with Starlight Hollow 24/7 in Point Break as its own playlist for a month, the team could have gone without that if you did something like "to kick off our NEW map voting feature, we're giving our NEW map Starlight Hollow a big boost in the Point Break voting pool for the next 3 weeks!"
  • nerf Healing Emitter and H+Infuser, not sure why we needed more of this in the game to begin with
  • Gadget/spec numerical cooldowns instead of amber square filling up - buried in ping menu does not count and does not currently work for tablet gadgets
  • Let me change optics in practice range or mid-QP
  • Detailed weapon AND equipment stats in-game such as cooldown, RPM, effective range, damage (radius), duration...independent from The Finals Wiki
  • Detailed career stats or at least match history
  • Game replays (I understand this is one of your most challenging tasks)
  • Let us designate a different group leader in lobby
    If we get these in season 12, I will buy 9007 MB

Add Bonus Pages to Legacy Battle Passes.
Remove penalty for leaving a cashout match when randoms disconnect and don't come back.
Fix ranked. This includes smurfing, RS gain/loss, goals, placement screen.
Fix servers, cut down ranked from 24 to 12 players if it helps.

Why does the Reed Requiem (Skin from the ultimate battlepass for the CB-01 repeater Pag. 40) make such an awful sound when you fire it? i get it's supposed to be a flute, but it sounds like a kid is practicing next to your ear, and some of the notes are so high pitch that legit throw you off.
