my teamate just died and couldn't respawn for 500 seconds, and then we get team wiped and we didn't respawn, the countdown didn't go to 0, it just went into a negative countdown, we never respawned, and lost the game because of it. please could you look into it🙏 .

Smokes with transperancy reduction is NOT a good idea, especially in a game with such messed up lighting + so much verticality + ability to create angles anywhere
When smokes begin to dissipate, it'll give you even more visibility near the edges and that'll render it completely useless for people who are trying to discourage others from pushing in blindly or using it as cover, it won't benefit anybody
That being said, I'm all in for this for environmental smokes/dust... And infact want it to be significantly more transperant like i said before
The balance for other than meta weapons in this game is utter shit.
Dualblades reflect is broken, deflects only like 5% of bullets.. Ppl can just run away from you, the lunge is bad. Increase the lunge, give +10% movement speed with them equipped.
You need to start buffing other weapons to make the game feel fun again

The Dual Blades are abysmal still. Deflect doesn't have any reward and barley scratches enemies to be a threat. Also cannot cancel attack animation using deflect, which makes it even less convenient.

Come on, there's no point in wiping out a team or reviving a teammate now because everything is so quick to the point of being mindless.

Spawns that have you at most 70 M away from a vault, or active Cash Out.
Closer Spawns that actually allow you to defend a Cash Out that hasn't been stolen, to help fight against 3rd parties.
Preferably 20 - 30 M perhaps on the closer end depending on time left on CashOut

I would tone back on the harsh wording, but overall I agree. It feels like a lot of the changes made and mechanics in the game are light centric. This is really infuriating because it's the class that has the potential to be the least fun class to play against. It's not a balancing issue (although many of their weapons or gadgets are definitely broken), it's a "fun" issue where they may be easy to kill but it's not fun in the slightest. And it makes you go "ugh, another majority light lobby" when the real reaction should be "this is gonna be fun"
I think the game would be so much more fun if they stopped compensating for light mains being bad. Light already has massive potential, I've played light with lots of success and when I play it it feels busted. Some things like the 93r did deserve to be buffed, I'll let it pass. But so much of the time when something is getting nerfed it's a med/heavy specialization, gadget, etc. Light class needs to be played correctly. The people who complain about it being weak, calling for buffs, and all of the sort are showing a fundamental misunderstanding of the class and/or the game.
the dynamite skin on the c4 is really cool but it doesnt have the blue and red light indicator saying if the c4 is ready or not so it would be cool if the skin had some sort of indicator cuz i just spent all my multibucks on it just for it to not have one of the functions that the other does
Give Medium a speed ability where they increase their teams movement speed for some time. Give them a damage boost beam.
Give Light a burrow ability where they can dig underground and pop out. Give them a "recall ability" where they go to their previous position and restore their hp.
Give Heavy a block ability that absorbs damage that charges them and they can use the charge to move and shoot faster. Give them an airstrike ability like Brimstone from Valorant.

all we wanted was:
less consumption between toggles
less noise from 10m+ range and no noise 20m+
remove decloak noise
consumption depends on motion, if you're running it consumes faster if you're walking it consumes less if you're standing still it should last 30~60sec or smth
and faster regen if they imply previous change
a "neon" ability for med would be amazing everything else nah. also @cold bolt like amr already said it was never strong high elo and invis is hard countered by glitch trap/prox sensor

The only thing absolutely broken about the gadget I.M.O is you should be able to steal while stunned.
It should definitely stop a steal/res, but after .5 seconds you should be able to at minimum be able to interact again.
Especially if all the *L will typically do is run away & hide again.
Stealing is so important & all a *L has to do to "clutch" is play hide & go seek; with the cloak buff that aspect of the gadget remains OP as ever.

If the number 1 player in the game won't equip it, or even advise to put it in your reserve I'm not sure by what metric you are measuring the gadget to say it's still "very good" while also saying it's not a must pick. That sounds very Mid.
I'd argue *M no longer has "very good" gadgets anymore.
Since all exclusive to the class now come with heavy penalties.
Arguably *L is Still the best pick & has been since S2, arguably now more than ever thanks to its insane utility compared to *H & *M, however I believe medium is just the most user friendly, Heavy still has the highest win rate, & I wouldn't be surprised if light still had the highest pick rate. The issue with Light while highly combative it has a clear skill gap, however mobility will always give players a huge advantage in any FPS, the issue lies in the complexity of the game. The Finals is still new for some, maybe even most & relies heavily on objective, & teamwork over offense & a "solo carry" mentality, so anyone who isn't constantly thinking, & trying to out smart opponents will inevitably get lost in the sauce.
Demat is a great breach specialization, however it's hardly fair to have to give up a entire specialization just to acquire breach , while *H & *L both have two gadgets, & ones that actually do damage on top of that, & effectively destroy goo walls.

Heal Beam is in a good spot sure, but people were really complaining that they couldn't win a 2 v 2 when one person didn't even have a gun in hand during half the process. 🤦🏽♂️

Invis is winning the 1 v 1 because they can see you before you can see them
Similarly Recon sense was winning fights because they could see you before you could see them.
They both specialized in perception, both have almost the same advantage in a 1 v 1 just on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Mesh, Barricades, dome, & goo grenade I'd argue are hard counters to anything a Medium could throw at a enemy squad.

If you really want to think outside the box & look ahead since you know where the vault is, & where the cash out is, you could even use mines, frags, flash, or turrets to bait any player using the selfishspecialization.
However if you refuse to rely on coordination, & team work it end up just being a you problem tbh...
The contestant is also giving up all support, to play more independently.
Unless the coms are absolutely on point & consistent the specialization only became a real issue in the hand of hackers.
Similar with S1 FCAR it was a great pick, but not broken. The issue was hackers, & poor S.B.M.M. In my opinion. 😬

Random Idea regarding spacing and how the Equipment UI is layed out.
Why not have the specializations one or two columns and move the freed column(s) to the gadgets and possibly also weapons in the future.
There's no reason to have three columns for something that has like a third of the content of other type (which has the same amount of columns)
Personally I think this should be the way to go for the future, especially with a much more expanding Weapons & Gadget Arsenal compared to specializations.
Would be amazing if controller players had an option to do a 180 degrees flick with stick aim either via a bind or by holding L3 and going backward , would really be a game changer (literally)

I see people complaining about the respawn times in quick cash but imo it makes it better for casuals and new players, you still spawn far enough and gets players back into the action and fun much quicker. If someone is frustrated by something, they are less likely to leave with shorter respawn times, otherwise each time they have to deal with 20+ seconds + the walk to the objective, perhaps after having to deal with something annoying them (eg. the controversial swords or just lights in general)
I'm a casual and I'm 50/50 on this , on one hand it makes the game better for casues but also being wiped doesn't feel as punishing anymore , I believe a little readjustment would be welcomed

I would like to express my disappointment regarding the recent update, which has greatly affected the light class weapon — the sword. Previously, this weapon wasn't the strongest, and it required some time and skill to be effective in the hands of a player who hadn't spent dozens of hours with it. However, with the latest changes, the sword has lost its primary function — getting behind enemies and eliminating them. Now, it no longer serves its purpose, making the light class w that gun very unplayable. On top of that, half of the builds in the game already countered this sword, and now, with the recent changes, it's completely unplayable. It’s frustrating to see a weapon that was already struggling become even more ineffective.
I request that you reconsider the balance changes and bring the weapon's effectiveness back to its former state so that it becomes playable again. The sword should be a threat in close combat, not just a time-wasting tool.

Given that season reset happened in the middle of the night for NA, we already lost out on a lot of club names because of this to the other regions that could make clubs before we were awake.
What my real issue now though is, there are a number of clubs with great names currently being held by people with seemingly no intent to use them. There is one club name in particular i wanted, and currently there is a person holding it, locked to application only, and not accepting anyone in. Just the creator of the club is in there doing nothing with it. Thanks to having absolutely no way to even directly messaging a player a the game, there is no way to even contact the club creator to inquire about what they are doing with it or getting the matter resolved to open the club to people and make use of it.
We should be able to report and have these clubs disbanded so active people can use them after some period of time if they are not accepting anyone into them. We already got screwed enough based on the timing of clubs starts, but to lose the option to even be a part of the clubs with names we like to completely inactive and uninterested creators is even more frustrating.
This game already has a limited playerbase as is, and things like this add another frustration to the list of your core active players. Please do something about inactive clubs taking names that active players could be using to build a community with.
please make like a sandbox mode to play around with the physics 🙏

Howdy! I got a visual bug here with the 52 Pickup skin for the Throwing Knives. The card on the right hand isn’t showing. I've seen it in both practice range and in a real match
nerf heavy its just not fun
im sick of getting into queues with players who have 3 times the wins or elims. i know the playerbase is not as big as other shooters, but for the love of god:
- dont make the queue time 10 secs (crossplay), just to play against much stronger enemies.
- make a system where you queue and look for people with similar accounts(kda, wins, revs) and match history.
- if there is no one available after 1 min or so: change the priority to finding a game fast or smth.
it can't be that the "main" mode of this game is filled with sweats only. there is a ranked mode for this purpose.
not everyone has the time to grind 10 hours a day. why should i invest time or money, just to queue and getting stomped and queue again and you can guess it.
categorize players with the points i mentioned above compare their win/lose history and after 3 losses (losing the first qualifying) put them in a lower category.
or is emerald 1 just for the unemployed? knocked out of round two gets me 6 points, thats like 20mins of playing with overtime and loading time.

you need to do 24points everyday until the season ends. by only getting knocked out of round two, it takes me 80mins of playing.
you could say only getting first needs 30mins, but its not doable in this current state of the matchmaking. so it would take me at least 1h and 20mins every single day without exceptions, not counting knocked out of round one, which gives you nothing, which happened to me today 4 times in a row.
im consider myself an above average player, i got 250 hours myself and reached e1 last season, my kda is 1.3 with 7000 kills (with playing other roles and powershift), but im no match with people with 20k+ elims and i only queue against those people and it fying sucks

lh1 was fine with just acog or iron, it was a tradeoff when picking between the two, and now that red dot is in there is no tradeoff
edit: tbh I forgot visual recoil is probably the biggest factor in the rise of lh1 this season, prob need a recoil increase
quickplay has become stage 4 cancer real quick with these spawns, light infested garbage
Quick Play has been light infested the entire last season, but the issue isn't the spawn waves (although I'd argue the minimum reset should be 10s not 5s), it's the abhorrent spawn locations. These maps are big enough to not spawn someone in another team's path to the objective, or behind another team heading for an objective. Last night we wiped pink, ran 40 meters in a few seconds, and pink was already shooting at us again, and we were still 60m from the objective.

Come on, you won't tell me what to do and I won't tell you where to go, ok? I already wrote that not only rubies erase everyone on the map. If the developers don't add normal matchmaking to the world tour, then little by little all the weak players will leave the game until only cyber athletes remain, and that's death for the game. This is a unique game and I really wouldn't want it to die because of stupid decisions by the developers.
make doubling a cashout a 6-7 second animation to reduce ease of griefing, this will also count as a steal ofc (not my idea, stole from a master chef)

LH1 main there before the red dot. Easily my favorite weapon in the entire game.
This thing is described as a battle rifle so it makes sense for it to have a red dot.
For the recoil increase I think that more horizontal recoil when you spray it would do the job.
Also this gun still has the shittiest hipfire accuracy to ever be in this game so that's the tradeoff compared to say a V9S or M11, range (medium-long vs closer).
to do list:
- Revert quick cash spawns
- Delete Kyoto
- add egg throwing knife skin or chancletas throwing knife skin
- Make sure there is no back up data for Kyoto to ensure that it is lost forever
please consider buffing the light sniper since it lacks power compared to everything else (explained in previous posts)

the only way to balance revolver is EITHER: 1) buff damage by 1 (lets you two shot lights up close) or increase bullet size (make every shot slightly easier to hit, both with hipfire and ADS)

Quick complaint, ever since this new update for season 5 my game has been crashing a lot, like on start up it freezes and it’s like a 50/50 chance that it’ll crash, luckily it hasn’t happened during a match and it’s only on start up and at the end of matches when going back to the lobby it would be nice if embark could do something about maybe optimizing their game more so it doesn’t happen as often

I love this new season guys despite some of the nitpicks I have, the game has gotten healthier since s4 ranked because tournament mode again and that’s all that matters to me
famas should not be the easiest AR to use and at the same time have the best TTK. Buff fcar and akm, either the initial kick on the recoil, damage or rounds in magazine
Please consider in the next patch focusing on improving things pertaining to the overall experience being smoother. Right now as it is I am forced to play on Asia servers as their are long waits in between games on my home server and I just dont have that kind of patience (im talking sometimes 5mins+ for quick cash/powershift and 20-30-infinity minutes for WT or Ranked). It would be great if we are plugged to the server in that region with the least ping, as I am constantly coin flipping what sort of connection I will get. I go from one server just being an orange icon with average lag that I can work with, to all icons going from orange to red and I get crazy input lag and no regs but not alot of stuttering. TLDR: Please if possible make it so you connect to the server in chosen reason with least ping. I will tac this on also. This game can be very fun and very frustrating. Alot of the frustration comes from gadgets/abilities that are clearly either free massive damage, free cc with no counter other than to try destroy cc or kill enemy, utility that turns classes from okay to extremely strong and makes the class feel cheese to play against/with. The only ability I have really thought through to change is charge and slam: Make charge and slam do damage only once to a player at the end with the slam. The charge aspect simply applies a hefty knockback. Also add a 15% current HP cost when activated.
Recoil nerfs are never good, lowering the fire rate would be a better nerf imo, although I don't think lh1 should outright get a nerf as much as invis.

I feel like people do not understand the recoil changes. they did not lower recoil for any weapons at all. The way hitscan works in this game is that your bullets always land at the center of your screen if you're ADS (exclusing shotguns, they still spread normally whether you hipfire or ADS). all embark did was change how animated the ADS reticle appears but all recoil patterns are still the same. there isn't "less" recoil. it is simply visually more accurate to what is actually happening. this has been a huge talking point with players being frustrated abt how animated the crosshairs are because they normally dont indicate where you are actually aiming

TLDR; (I'd be seriously impressed if this got added) Have a togglable setting to have the "quick cash tutorial - blue guided arrows" appear to help lead players toward the objective

I have a friend who's playing with us (PS5) from his PC. But EVERY time he joins our group and we queue up he gets insane lags and can barely connect. When he tries leaving group and queueing on his own it works super fine. Anyone know what can be the cause of this?

Wave respawn in Quick Cash needs to go.
I get what Embark was going for here, and to some extent it works. It's a casual game mode, meant to be fast paced as the name suggests. Being able to swap contestants and get infinite quick respawns can make it easier for new players to learn the game, and others to try new things/play non-meta loadouts for fun. Alright.
But it also totally breaks the game mode, and turns it into a TDM mess where team wipes and timings don't matter at all. Opponents just keep respawning around the corner, and even with good KDR/combat & assist scores, you will still probably lose to worse teams, because there's no way you can constantly win 3v6 fights. The outcome has more to do with luck than any form of skill.
There were already lots of Light players in QC, there are now even more, because with such rapid respawns, why wouldn't you run & gun with a M11 ? Respawn, kill some random dude, get wrecked, respawn, rinse, repeat. End the round with 15 kills but a 1:1 KDR. Profit ? I guess.
WT/Ranked exist and play differently, yes, but I always liked playing a cashout mode that wasn't competitive. Now it feels like playing TDM Rust or Shipment, with Lights running all around, and if I wanted to play COD, I wouldn't play The Finals, right ?

The cooldown is too low and the range should be a little lower it should be a gadget that need to be use wisely. I'm okay with the cancel stealing thing but when you fight 3 lights and the 3 uses taser. As a hammer main it's a lot difficult because you can't use your specialisation like your shield or claw to defend yourself.
I don't want the taser to be removed it's part of the light kit but it's should be balance.
Embark please revert the normal spawn on quick cash too season 4 or this happen because you (embark) tinkering the spawn time faster and it might cause the spawn time bug

When half my team is named GloriousTree and SuperbLeader, but nobody else in the VC sees those names, it really makes it hard to coordinate and do callouts, especially when solo queueing. I'm sure this is a Sony restriction, but it's annoying as a player, and legitimately detrimental to the experience of a teamwork-focused game.

Bank it awards the most fans per round. I average between 500 and 700 fans per match of bank it and this is because of the high objective score that it gives when depositing coins. You can go higher, and ive had 1200 for a teammate doing a big deposit.
Because of this, Powershift and Quick Cash award a lot less because its not giving out big amounts of objective score unless you put in lots of effort to make it so. I think combat score and support score also gives fans, but the rate is not enough in these modes to be on par with bank it because that is also gaining those scores too.
To compensate for this, the score types for all modes (except bank it), and their respective fan gains should be increased, so that we are no longer shoehorned into one single mode to get the most out of fan acquisition.

A shotgun like the Kel tech KSG could be really fun for medium or heavy, two tubes maybe you could load them with different shells like buckshot slugs dragons breath or flechette. Would have to make the tubes hold maybe 4 each so 4 rounds of slugs for example and 4 of fletch.
Heavy with a Barrett M82 would go crazy, would be a menace at range but would sacrifice all the advantages they have normally at close range. Could make it similar to the Pike 556 with slower fire rate, would also love to see if you fire it real fast in doors you start to get tinnitus for a few seconds
For gadgets or specialties:
A tactical insertion type thing could be a cool specialty or gadget but I feel it would be under powered
A cluster grenade could be really fun, through it in the air to cover a wide area but doesn't do major damage or through it in a room and do very high damage
A 9 bang would be a cool alt to the flashbangs maybe it lasts longer but limited to only one and slower cooldown

- NERF FOR REAL MODEL 1887 ! But in season 5 now.
- Add an indicator for the frag grenade or at least make them more visual
- Nerf Deagle damage
- Nerf Shak damage
- XP need a damage buff. Same dmg than a M11 but slower RPM and less bullets. JUST USELESS !
- NERF CHARGE'N'SLAM DAMAGE.
- Buff grapple. Reduce cooldown by 1 sec or add 1 charge.
- If Hook do damage, Stun gun should do. Put damage for both of them or no damage for both of them.
- Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charge. Too strong.
- Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked even with you lose T1.
- There is nothing normal to be kill behind a wall by FLAMETHROWER
- Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for kill you
- Rework defib : Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. More fair for Light player. Not a big nerf to M and a bit more to H.

Hi everyone, it appears that the Medium's defibrillator has been rendered obsolete by the latest nerf. The statues of fallen players are camping and making it impossible to revive them, and even if they succeed, the respawn time exposes them to immediate attack. While the Medium's ability nerf is justified, the stacking of the respawn time plus the cooldown of the abilities renders the defibrillator unusable. A rollback to the previous version, providing instant revival while maintaining a delay before abilities can be used, seems necessary. Your comments and suggestions for finding an acceptable compromise for the Medium's defibrillator are welcome.
Revert quick cash changes. It made the gamemode impossible to enjoy, even as a casual or new players.
While the frustration of waiting for a cooldown is gone, a new one arrived: constant respawn makes the game sweatier and impossible to manage with teams coming back quicker than ever.
Team whipes do not mean anything anymore and it's really frustrating to finally whipe a strong team only for them to come back 5 seconds later.
100% disagree. the ability to revive a teammate is INSANE. its a team game, and the people who play as a team will almost always beat the people who dont. all you need to do is pickup the statue of a teammate, take them behind cover and defib. insantly they are safe. or heal beam them, or provide covering fire while they move. Defib is still the strongest utility in the game, and it will remain so forever. there is no possible way they can make an INSANT REVIVE bad.
and @wraith orchid sniper is not bad at all. when i play light i main the sniper, and when you land a headshot its VILE. i hate to be the "skill issue" guy, but trust me this gun is nuts if you can dome people. i would reccomend it with grapple, helps alot

Broken timers in Quick Cash and still no response by devs??????
Does the afk punishing system doesn't go back to 30 mins like I've been playing all games without quitting but once I quit it still gives me a 2h ban
On an individual level, the Quickcash changes feel much better + more accessible to newcomers.
Teamwipes however are borderline non-existent & whilst the faster gameflow is fun it also negatively affects strategy.
The faster respawns should generally remain whilst no Cashout is active, but once one is underway teamwipes should be more punishing: eg 12s - I believe this is twice the amount of time it takes to steal a Cashout in Quickcash.
At least 8s should also be the minimum possible duration for individual respawns regardless of Cashout activity, for the current system can induce chaotic matches that grind to a halt due to endless fights.
In turn the maximum individual respawn duration could be cut by a few seconds, from ~25s to 20-22s.
The egregious base health regen (up to 18s for a Heavy) is also further exposed by the decreased downtime. Reducing the health regen delays (L:6s M:7s H:8s) would benefit the entire game.

New players also still observably struggle to navigate the gigantic & complicated maps. Adding an option (enabled by default) to guide players towards each objective would be useful.
Disabling it within ~15m of Cashouts would help new players naturally learn the intricacies of their layouts as they must then rely upon their own navigation.

This new Light invis is ridiculous. Everybody just perches on a roof, standing still for a minute, waiting for free kills. It's stupid. This is coming from a light main. It needs an energy nerf when standing still because it isn't fun trying to push high ground, especially in the new map because you just get deleted from stealth when someone has sit on their ass for 30 seconds waiting for you. Also stungun is just op/the most annoying thing to play against. It just tilts me to oblivion when I get stunned, it lasts forever and I don't have any counterplay to it other than to most of the time flick 180 and try to shoot him, but most of the time you're already dead because they did it from behind. Combine this with the new op as hell stealth and it just makes me not wanna play this game.

However, the matchmaking has been broken since Season 2. I thought you were improving matchmaking for Season 5, but the issue continues.
My matchups make no sense, neither in rank nor in dedication, which is clear when I compare my kills and revives with my teammates. Meanwhile, the other teams have players who should be matched with me, but I'm facing them instead.
I’m speaking as a solo player. When can we expect improvements in matchmaking for solo players? It's frustrating we've been stuck like this since Season 2.
Note 1: I've had teammates say in chat they were playing ranked for "fun," as if it’s quick play. This is a bad joke.
Note 2: I don’t mind waiting longer to find a game if it improves the experience. I’d prefer waiting more than 2 minutes than 10 seconds for a team with zero skill.
Note 3: Don’t use the excuse of not changing matchmaking start/mid/end-season when you make buffs and nerfs to weapons, gadgets, etc. These also affect gameplay during the season. You’ve had enough time to address it
It already has a delay, you don't start running the moment you press the button. The dash outmanoeuvres the charge by going in a straight line. Circling around with regular movement also dodges the charge.
The heavy basically only has good close range capabilities. If you are close, you will be in danger.
I would like to express my disappointment regarding the recent update, which has greatly affected the light class weapon — the sword. Previously, this weapon wasn't the strongest, and it required some time and skill to be effective in the hands of a player who hadn't spent dozens of hours with it. However, with the latest changes, the sword has lost its primary function — getting behind enemies and eliminating them. Now, it no longer serves its purpose, making the light class w that gun very unplayable. On top of that, half of the builds in the game already countered this sword, and now, with the recent changes, it's completely unplayable. It’s frustrating to see a weapon that was already struggling become even more ineffective.
I request that you reconsider the balance changes and bring the weapon's effectiveness back to its former state so that it becomes playable again. The sword should be a threat in close combat, not just a time-wasting tool.

If you own the cashout, you should spawn closer so you can defend it.
If the cashout got stolen, you should spawn further so they have time to set up a defense.

I grinded solo q to diamond last season and with no changes to matchmaking the only thing I am going to grind this season is WT, after that I am taking a break. Highly recommend this approach, the less ranked solo q players the better, because this may actually have devs look at the problem

3-tap on heavies under 15m and two-tap on lights was never an issue with the model prior to it's damage buff. It was trash in old seasons for a reason. The 128 damage is what made it OP and overused
Model is definitely still op. The damage nerf literally only changed the close range medium v medium ttk and literally no other breakpoints, but can be mitigated with a single qm (which you can do between shots at the exact same fire rate as normal). The nerfs barely touched the weapon and it's still the biggest balance issue in the game.

as a light main my class is getting completely overlooked when talking about the model change. and you guys always forget that the weapon has a playstyle where you can output high damage numbers at once and hide behind cover between shots. this fact alone is making the weapon 10times easier to use than any ar,mp or lmg or any weapon with similar attributes bc you wont have to expose yourself to the enemy for long.
and even without cover, you are able to abuse movement between shots while any above mentioned weapon has to consistently stand still while shooting

I've been asking this for a while, but watches are kinda useless, they dont work if you have gloves or long sleeve clothing, which most people are probably using. It would be nice like for certain hair or shoes types the pants/hat of the players contestant folds up or inward, it would be nice to have the shirt sort of pulled back or folded to make space for the watch, it would be a small but nice touch since you'll also be probably seeing your watch a lot since it is mainly viewable in first person. I think that this change would turn watches from an overpriced item only for flexing to something that may actually be worth it

I started running it, & I guess I can also agree with the Cool Down, with how effective it is you shouldn't always have a bullet on you & it feels like you do, I agree it should definitely be used more wisely, especially with the route Embark has been taking with medium and heavy. Fair is Fair.
That being said I think the issue is the Nerfs to support & defense has received, everything that could be used to counter the gadget has been heavily nerfed since S1. I'd rather just see utility brought back, then see Embark release more nerfs, or take away another gadget. The game has what it needs to be balanced developers just need to stop listening to selfish, low IQ, or hackers.
Light was never expected to learn how to use glitch grenades, instead of buffing how it works to potentially target Defibrillator like maybe blowing up on impact of any surface they gutted Defib since S1. Along with Mesh, Dome, & Heal B. Glitch grenades, & glitch mines were great counters but since the developers don't know how to demand teamwork and coordination instead they've chosen to shrink they're game to satisfy selfish, low IQ players who want to squad wipe by themselves.

The defib nerf giving the 5 second delay on abilitites/gadgets should ONLY impact the defib gadget for the player being revived.
No reason I can't dematerialize myself to safety once I'm back, or if I defib a heavy they can't immediately dome for me to keep us alive long enough to make the next play.
The dev notes next to this patch specifically state what the goal was - to prevent MMM chain defib. So why did we not simply address this problem?

Model is the ONLY weapon on medium that facilitates playing close quarters by itself.
All three ars are mediocre in that range; revolver is worse than them at it. Pike totally collapses due to bad hipfire and long ttk. Cl40 kills you if you play too close with it. Both melees are defensively oriented and straight up do not function on medium since they lack options to close the gap.
If medium wants to have strength in that area, they are supposed to give up heal beam (huge support tool) for dematerializer/turret. Model circumvents this entirely.

cqc medium is meant to be a viable playstyle, this is why turret exists, to help medium in cqc by covring for the dps their weapons lack. demat also helps in cqc. even recon senses was meant to help in cqc by allowing you to avoid fights entirely and take better angles, not necessarily helping with cqc but avoiding the problem. the only spec that was not meant to assist you in cqc combat? healing beam.
while cqc medium is an intentional playstyle, cqc healing medium is not. that was the entire goal of the model changes from patch 4.9, move model away from being a cqc menace and move it more towards low-mid range poke damage to assist as a backline tool rather than a frontline tool. frontline support medium should never be a viable playstyle because its indicative of very poor primary weapon balancing.

i have a 5 stack of casuals i play semi regularly with, and they refuse to do third partying gamemodes, barely got them to try quick cash. they said if there was 3v3 (private lobbies only sucks bc we cant split teams properly, they dont play other games often to adapt to UI & log off), or 5v5 - they would try the finals more often (they stick to Powershift, TA, & BankIt, barely QC)
obviously dont rework an old gamemode just add a new one. 5v5 is perfect opportunity for the INTENDED gamemode as another variant

I feel as though the cerberus needs a buff all around Because as it stands its sub par. a small base damage increase, a small fire dot increase and the ability to consistently set fire to gas and goo.
I think people are really sleeping on cerb, 1887 may be better but medium having a two tap semi shotgun against light and a 3+melee against heavy on top of the nice utility against goo and gas is pretty significant. It feels useable now, more than a slight buff would probably make it overtuned, I feel.

Can there be a more accessible way to communicate with teammates and friends from accross different platforms for the disabled and no microphone players, people on PC can see and text eachother to communicate, but as soon as a PC and console player are together, the only form of communication other than pings are verbal, leading to players who are non verbal, or have no mic to be unable to communicate outside of pings in match, or not at all in the backstage. While an exisiting solution is to have someone else who is also on PC to read the text for the console player, thats a harder setup to have, and if they aren't avalible, it leads to no way to communicate within the backstage. Could there at least be text chat across all platforms? Or an alternative system of communication within the backstage?

its also just.. commonly used game design? tank classes have very low range but high health and low movement speed, support classes stick to mid range combat to allow counterplay in the form of dives, and the damage focused class has a more flexible range but its weapons are much more committal than the other 2.

@pearl kiln I like this season, I love the new map, I like the new weapons, I like the quick cash respawn system (although it's a little crazy at times), I don't like the new gadgets, I don't like the 2 Minutes in a row of light invisibility, I don't like that the servers work so badly, I don't like that the anti-cheat doesn't work as well as it should.
+31 damage from the fire and you can indeed kill a heavy in one mag. Granted, this is very inconsistent and it's unlikely a good heavy will let you do that, but that's fine for this gun. The Cerberus isn't a 1v1 weapon, it's a support tool. And as such it's actually balanced for being a shotgun on medium.
A lot of the kit they're giving light is zero talent stuff. Being able to sit there invisible for half the match and have weapons with such absurdly low TTK is low skill.

OMG !!!!! The functionality of the ESC/LeaveGame process, once the match is actually over, is So screwed up. Why is it so hard to detect the stage of the Game Over sequence and enable the ability to leave the game when you want Embark? If I try to leave immediately on game completion, I get the leave game, with a disabled Yes button, that appears to have a timer on it, starting at 5. Though 5 is way too long, and it doesn't count down. The whole screen gets removed automatically, by some process, and when I go back in to leave the game, there is no timer on the button but the Yes button is greyed out and will not re-enable. I have to wait for the end game animations to finish before I can leave. Why do you think people should be forced to watch the end game sequence Embark? Losing is bad enough, don't force people to watch that if they don't want to. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the defib nerf is too steep imo.. being revived at half health and locked out of ALL of your gadgets for 5 seconds basically means you're defenseless.. i can understand the cooldown on your defib to prevent chains, but you should AT LEAST be able to toss a gas grenade, pop a vanish bomb, or dash away if your teammate brings you back mid fight
that or bring back some type of temporary invincibility frames on revive.. even just a couple seconds so you can get away

It's a Medium DB, of course Medium has a harder time playing the DB gameplay because Light has better supporting specs/gadgets for that.
IMO The Finals didn't need more burst damage hipfire guns, so I'm kinda disappointed that the Cerberus was added, even though the incendiary rounds are visually cool. Having everyone jump at each other's throats with shotguns and grenade launchers isn't exactly my idea of fun, and we've had a ton of that in S4. I'd like these weapons to have lower hipfire accuracy, forcing players to ADS more. Because hipfire accuracy is really what gives them a (slightly) unfair advantage over ARs, LMGs and to a lesser extent SMGs, assuming opposing players are equally skilled. ADS slowing you down to walking speed makes you easier to hit than somebody who has full freedom of movement and can hit you while running/sliding/jumping.
please, for the love of all that is holy, REMOVE THE SHAK. (at least until 10-20 dmg nerf)

How good does a medium have to be to use a Defib.?
Sticking a good Defib is a learning experience, you still need good map awareness, tracking, combat awareness to Stick a Defib, either if you're picking up the totem or taking out your defib regardless, you're putting your weapon away, leaving yourself vulnerable to easily die.
Sticking a Defib was never "brainless" or "overpowered" It just encouraged coordination, and was a kryptonite for selfish players, Or hackers that want to Solo wipe and push away from their team.
I guess the issue I see at hand is ever since the longer time to activate Defibrillator, & turning players into a glowing member of the blue man group in S2 those nerfs were already overkill.
I'm not even that good, & play with randoms who don't have mics from time to time & I never had a issue going against the gadget.
The contestant being revived has half health, & a magazine that doesn't have enough bullets to do anything but stand there and be a free kill, & the person doing the revive not only has to put their gun away to move the totem but also has to put their weapon away one more time to stick the revive.
Basic coordination, tracking, & coms could handle even S1 Defibrillator, the issue was uncoordinated and selfish players they gave Defibrillators more power with poor planing, & uncoordinated attacks. Just like with heal beam 2 guns will always beat 1 & 3 guns will always beat 2.
Heavy & light mains just lacked the one skill a good medium with a difib is expected to have.

- NERF FOR REAL MODEL 1887 ! But in season 5 now.
- Add an indicator for the frag grenade or at least make them more visual
- Nerf Deagle damage
- Nerf Shak damage
- XP need a damage buff. Same dmg than a M11 but slower RPM and less bullets. JUST USELESS !
- NERF CHARGE'N'SLAM DAMAGE.
- Buff grapple. Reduce cooldown by 1 sec or add 1 charge.
- If Hook do damage, Stun gun should do. Put damage for both of them or no damage for both of them.

Spicy bullets? (lower dps burst but counters gas and goo depleting 2/3 of your mag??)
Reloads clip at once (its not even a positive thing since it takes barely longer to reload 3 bullets than model would and unable to interrupt reload to shoot)
Aside from the atrocious and overlooked balance I actually like how the gun plays, like a shotgun should be, but underperforms model in every possible way so there's no reason to run it unless youre a masochist.
The fire rate is fine, but spread, reload speed and/or damage needs tweaking.
Also I highly highly very super mega giga fking highly recommend having beta builds once in a while on steam for players to test new changes, because whoever works on balancing could clearly use some feedback BEFORE rolling out updates to live. (yes still in ptsd from throwing knives, pike, cl-40 weeks long oopsies)
increase detection range for lockbolt when deciding who to trap, decrease tether range once trapped. If people run beyond the max range when the trap is initially activated, make it pull them back to range. As it stands it’s too limited for recognizing when to lock someone, but too generous once they are locked.

being able to kill mediums with 2 body shots is way stronger than being able to one shot headshot them. i know there were numerous people crying over a potential sniper buff pre season (actually just a few who were very loud), but hitting a sniper headshot in up to 30 meters range on a target being aware of you is insanely hard. if they are aware, they should always be able to force the sniper to close distance or do it themselves.
but again, casuals wont care about true balance anyways. they just care about annoyance😕

The grind on the last levels of the battlepass might appeal to this that play super active and I am 100% ok with only giving active players those levels for free, but come one man.

It's. Awesome. And not just any kind of awesome, ist the most awesomest multiplayer shooter game out there. For me there is no better one. The graphics - fantastic, the movement - fantastic, weapons and gadgets - fantastic, overall gameplay - best one ever played. I don't want to draw the attention to these specific little things like some weapons being a bit too buff or too weak, cause I just want to say how much I appreciate the feeling of the game itself. Sure, there are so many great games with great gameplay and The Finals isn't a game I have played as much, but I can confidently say that not only the different strategies and techniques are the best part of this game, it's how all these components combine. And I just spoke about the game overall. If you look at the maps and listen to the soundtrack, you can tell how much love and effort was put in this game. I just love it, and also the devs <3 way to go

Revert the quick cash changes, they are beyond terrible. Getting wiped should be punished adequately. The game mode is way too lenient with everything. This also creates constant third partying which ain't fun. And yes, I might be an absolute buzz kill by saying this but I am also not a fan of being able to change contestants mid match.

Why are you forcing the player to sitt and watch everyone else to have fun.

Knife feedback:
The knife is a very fun weapon that encourages strategy and thinking outside the box, as well as patience. However, the main way to kill people with the knife (backstabbing), could use a buff. Players spend a large portion of games running. The only way to catch a running player with the knife is to either be waiting and staying hidden exactly in the path they're going, or to use abilities that don't pair well with the knife in order to catch up with them. Movement speed is painfully reduced while charging and holding the backstab. On top of that, missing a backstab only does 50 damage (the same as a regular knife hit), even though it's a much more powerful attack. I think the knife could use 2 buffs: increased movement speed while charging/holding the backstab, and extra damage on missed backstabs. Personally, I think being able to run while backstabbing would be a good buff. Lights go slightly faster than the other classes, so they have time to react to footsteps and shoot. Most knife players (from what I've observed) use invisibility, which makes a very loud noise when someone that is using it moves. The dash and grapple both make noises as well. In short, everyone is able to react to a knife user quickly moving towards them. Being able to run while charging the knife could balance this out, giving players a better chance to get backstabs, but still having the risk of being heard and caught. As for the damage, a missed backstab should do damage along the range of 75-100, considering a regular knife attack does 50 damage, and a backstab is the same thing with more force put into it. It doesn't make sense for them to both do 50 damage.
Edit: The speed also makes the knife a lot more difficult to use on maps with more open space like SYS$ Horizon

Quickcash is ruined with the ability to swap to anything. Liked having a quick casual cashout gamemode that wasn't as committed as WT, not as chaotic as bank it. Quickcash was my fix, now it's just a short game of counterplay everything

Light isn't a throw pick, & Heavy isn't OP despite it's amazing defense. It still takes an immense amount of skill if you're not hacking. I guess that's also why it has a low pick rate. Having the worse mobility is a Huge disadvantage.

Charge and slam needs to be less "free". What do I mean by free? It means that the ability can be used at any point in engagement and get value regardless of how good the user is.
A possible fix would be to make the ability only do damage on the "Slam" at the end and make the "charge" knock back only. I also think a current HP% cost should be implemented, this will make heavies think twice about engaging with the ability as it will cost them 50hp at full health if the %HP cost is 15% which I think is quite fair. Hopefully this reaches someone as I think it's a pretty good change and removes some of yhe cheesiness you get with current SnC.

Charge and slam definitely needs at least a small rework or nerf. There's been so many times when I've been playing and I get almost immediately killed because a heavy hits me two times and they basically don't get punished at all. I totally think that self damage or a large damage reduction in return for more knockback would be good. Alternatively the charge could do less damage at the start and have a damage rampup doing more damage the longer they charge.

Ahh yes. The charge. Definetly not broken. Can do 130 damage in one tick. And push people away. Also takes 0 time to charge up. Ready to deal damage as soon as you activate it. Not to mention it somehow can kill you when you are behind a heavy while he is moving forward because you are in his spehere of damage radius... Hillarious you talk about balance and are literally using a spec that is THE META
This is why a damage ramp up for the charge and slam would be so good. You can't immediately get crazy value, but it will still be able to do good damage. To compensate you could maybe slightly increase the time it charges.
the Monaco house design is actually the worst in the game
you basically have to bring zipline or jump pad / have a teammate bring one if you even want a chance at going onto rooftops most of the time

And finally Desync... BRUH. I can make an hour long clip by this week alone with how much desync there is. THis is most evident when using single shotweapons like the v9s and throwing knives. Ive had teammates scream how the hell did that hit not count when litearlly a heavy is standing still and throwing knives are directly hitting him. PLEASE BUY MORE SERVERS OR IMPROVE YOUR NETCODE. These 30hz servers are so garbage. Did we not learn anything since BF3 and 4 days?

This new spawn system is driving me insane, just had a WT match and spawned within 40m of another team 7 times in a row, and got team wiped every time. Could not stay alive for more than 30 seconds. Whoever reworked this needs to give their head a shake

The spawn system on BERNAL is actually ATROCIOUS. Literally forced a fight into the first vault encounter (ok cool that happens) but then the distance is longer to plug than it takes for ANY of the teams to spawn. They spawn directly in front of you when running, they spawn directly in the way or next to the box. It happens time and time again. It is the worst in Final round. You can fight a team that you wipe 3 times only for them to win the final fight and have the box next to the plug, set up and defend. So bad.

it would be nice if the cart has multiple paths per map. The current pathing isn't entirely fair and balanced for both sides, there's some really good spots at some points on the map, and sweaty powershifters know where those are and how to play them well. If the cart had more pathings it could change up the mode to feel a little more fresh as you'd have to adapt more often.
Invisible lights should not be able to push cart
any contesters on cart should halt forward progress rather than whichever team has more players.

The defib changes are brutal. As a teammate it is really jarring not being able to drop a dome, grenade, ot charge away from a fight for 5 seconds. It's too long. If you want to stop defib chains, give the cool down only to other defib, not all gadgets and specializations,. Pul the numbers, guaranteed revives are severely dropped in the metrics.
just disconnected and then reconnected end of round 1 in a ranked game. Ended up getting to final round and getting 1st place in the match. Instead of 1.2k increase to RS got 1000 deducted. Maybe change how the suspension and reconnect feature works so this bs doesn't happen spent 30 min to get 1st just to have a -1500 rs occur. I would suggest if the player doesn't reconnect by end of round but idk how the game tells that a player has fully left the game via code. Keep in mind this after DC for 2 min and PLAYING FOR 40 min.

I do play heavy and CnS is easily on par with mesh shield in terms of consistently getting value except its value is deleting an enemy that gets too close. Yes sometimes people dodge but you can control CnS so easily that it's not hard to catch someone with atleast one charge or the slam at the end, both do significant damage. In terms also of enemies getting close and people saying "well they shouldn't get close", sometimes it's not that simple. Sometimes you have literally no choice but to go in closer because of angles etc. The amount of times I've gotten a heavy to one hit, gotten closer to try finish only for them to send me into the ether is getting a bit out of hand. It's a crutch/panic button.

What if we could switch weapons or gadgets by picking them off of corpses? Would be an interesting game mode. Especially as a basis if everyone started off with no gadgets or specializations. Would scavenged weapons and gadgets work across different classes? Perhaps. Maybe with a fair amount of caveats. Walking speed, accuracy, everything can be tuned.
Would certainly lean towards a CNS themed season if we ever go back there

What a boring season, Embark is still mediocre and doesn't care about innovating by creating new game modes and they still haven't learned how to balance the weapons, they really disappoint and I say this with pain since I have played more than a thousand hours and it had become my favorite shooter, but now it's very boring, especially with the bugs and broken shotguns.

I would be somewhat fine with the new respawn system (as bad as it is) if teams were actually PUNISHED for getting team wiped.
5 second minimum timer for a team wipe is ATROCIOUS, and it only incentivises teams to continue fighting while the other team can cash out with minimal interruptions.
At minimum, I believe the team wipe timer should be 15 seconds, if not 20. That way, doing a ballsy play and getting your team wiped because of it actually has an impact past a slight inconvenience to your teammates having to walk 70 meters.
And speaking of, if the timer is going to be kept the way it is, please spawn teams further from objectives and NOT inside the same buildings they were JUST in on your GIANT MAPS.
again, I personally would be fine with the changes if there were tweaks made to them, I like wave respawns! I think they're fine! but everything else about the new spawning system... is not.

Here is my mini essay on the quick cash changes:
I think that the quick cash respawn changes need to be reverted or reworked. I understand the idea was to make the mode into a much more casual experience but I don’t think this is really a good idea. There is now zero breaks between fights and team wipes mean nothing - the opportunity for strategic gameplay to exist in this mode is now largely gone. It is just about kills above all else, with the objective being made secondary. Endless/ useless fights are now much more common due to these changes and it feels like there is very little chance of pulling off a steal due to the increased uptime of all three teams. Third partying is now an even bigger issue in quick cash when it was already the game mode which suffered from it the most. The main reason this sucks is because quick cash and power shift are the only two modes which can be played on Oceana servers, world tour and ranked are dead. Power shift is the casual mode, and quick cash is the closest us Oceana players can get to the cash out format. We want some way to experience the strategic, objective based gameplay which makes the finals so unique, and dumbing down quick cash takes that away from us. I think it makes way more sense to just add a TDM mode for the casual players - the gadgets and weapons in the finals are fun to use and it is fair that some players want to use them without worrying about an objective.

Please balance charge and slam. Im fine with it doing 130 damage on the charge but all in 1 hit is just insane. Separate the damage into multiple hits. No class in the game should get an instant win button. Its insane, please rework this ability in some way whilst keeping the damage high.
Alternatively, Embark should make the charge knockback only and the slam does the damage. It keeps the destructive aspect and damage but its not an instant 130 dmg for free.

Easy charge and slam rework: direct hit damages once and knocks back mediums or heavies, ending the charge, any impact on a wall damages further, lights have more tools to avoid them so I wouldn’t worry about them getting instakilled as they’ll also get knocked back the furthest

Revert QC changes. QC was already a 3rd party simulator by nature, it's now even worse. These changes broke the game mode and made it a boring/uninteresting/frustrating TDM.

Keep the defib nerf regardless of any complaints. I'm a M/H main, I've revived and been revived by defibs thousands of times, with some of these revives making a difference between winning or losing. Yet I really like that you now have to put more thoughts into using defibs. It's only fair that a team's efforts to get the upper hand in a fight can no longer be easily negated by a left click. Teams now have several options if one player dies: trying to clutch that 2v3, moving the trophy to a safer location before reviving, reviving on the spot and protecting the hologram/revived team mate until he fully recovers his abilities and HP... Slow res may or may not be a better choice, depending on the situation/timing.
These are things good players already did/thought of before, they've just become mandatory. No more cheap escapes from a bad res/deserved death or team wipe.
Being able to revive and instantly get back in the fight, assuming you didn't leave your team mate to die again, can still turn the tides of a fight. So defib remains a staple of the class, just more skilled to use. One of the best recent balance decisions IMO.

It was still a melee weapon on a class with 150 HP, making it inferior to almost every single ranged weapon in the entire game even with the 4.0.0 buff, and because the weapon NEEDS Evasive Dash to have any chance of winning or surviving a fight, even a single Glitch Trap makes Sword completely unviable anywhere in its AOE.
If you’re planning to keep a nerf of some sort, please at least do it differently from how 4.6.0 was handled. The 4.6.0 nerf to Sword made the weapon feel bad because of how stiff and jerky its animations are, regardless of its actual net change in total overall strength of the weapon. Going from full momentum to an instant stop feels super awkward and clunky and makes it unintuitive to gauge distances and forced relearning everything.
Distances that seem like you should be able to successfully cross can no longer be crossed because you go from full speed to 0 almost immediately. In combination with the genuinely massive hit box nerf (55 cm, compared to something like 5 cm for Sledgehammer change) makes playing the weapon feel extremely unintuitive and wonky compared to the past because what feel like should be enemies in hittable distances or lunges that should hit will no longer reach their intended targets.
This results in the weapon feeling bad to use, regardless of how good or bad the weapon actually is.
In NA and Euro server demat has input lag, like when I demat a wall it takes like 0.5 seconds for it to demat a wall.. can devs fix this, I’m from Asia there are too many cheater in Asian server it’s hard to play with random players.

Imo its hardly a huge buff, yeah you survive a bit more but thats about it. Sure the numbers look good but in practice it did nothing to address the dual blades biggest issues (Struggles to catch up to enemies and has bad light/heavy breakpoints leading to high ttk against them)

I do not think that charge is op. Charge can be really good, yes. But you can counterplay it by just playing as a team. And I don’t mean you necessarily need to 3v1 a heavy with charge. I just have the feeling that most players complaining about the charge are lights or cqc players who don’t know how to not constantly stand next to an enemy.

I think the invis rework/buff was a good choice. It makes its playstyle certainly more different then, well, just running around invisible. I thought most invis players where to visible anyways. For people who think it’s annoying to play against, I have to say that’s probably not a problem with the cloak itself but the lacking counterplay.
For that I introduce to you:
- the recon (again). But this time maybe a little reworked. Maybe you can just see people using a gadget, or firing a weapon or whatever (through walls like the sonar grenade - for people who aren’t familiar with that one - it got nerfed out of the game)
I feel like something needs to be done with the revolver for medium since the TTK is higher than the AKM when it should be a high risk high reward gun, its instead a high risk lower reward, same goes with the bow why would a use the bow when I can use XP-54 which instantly hits the target and has better TTK.
Maybe a higher fire rate for the revolver and shorter charge time and projectile speed for bow will be a good buff.

@covert bramble Dodging charge is like dodging frag grenades (thats why so many cry for indicators - just improve the visual size and soundcue IMO). You don't notice when this shit is coming. And you need spider sense to react in time.

Throwing knives needs changes, it is a weapon for useless players, you just need to press a button and throw infinite knives without stopping, with excessively high damage and rate. If you are a player without any kind of skill, this is definitely your weapon, leave the fire button pressed and don't worry about anything else, you won't have to worry about recoil, you won't have to reload, you don't even have to be good at aiming , just hold down a button and you'll hit the target in no time.

I have around 1800 hours in this game, I have tried every weapon that exists and I still say that these throwing knives are one of the weapons that require the least skill (and the flamethrower, you are right). And I'm not saying they're a meta weapon, not even remotely, I'm just saying they need some change, like only throwing 2 knives per click, or a brief reload every 5 or 6 knives thrown, I'm not. I don't know, something that makes you not just leave a button pressed. And you talk to me about falling more than 30 m, tell me how many fights do you have at more than 30 m in this game? I again apologize if I offended knife throwers in my previous comment.

my opinion:
being able to kill mediums with 2 body shots is way stronger than being able to one shot headshot them. i know there were numerous people crying over a potential sniper buff pre season (actually just a few who were very loud), but hitting a sniper headshot in up to 30 meters range on a target being aware of you is insanely hard. if they are aware, they should always be able to force the sniper to close distance or do it themselves.
but again, casuals wont care about true balance anyways. they just care about annoyance😕

Heres an idea i had, make a unstable gamemode, where you can use and test balence changes to the game, it can be separate from the regular game modes,there could be a changelog seprate from the vanilla game, and if a change is liked enough, it can be pushed to the rest of the game, this could make for faster weapon or gamemode balancing. Aswell as potentially provide feedback to existing weapons that arent changed to weapons that are buffed as they are compared

(yes i did time it, yes it is actually longer. the reload itself is the same length, ending roughly right before the time the first smack of the magazine takes place, however the animation is roughly 0.3 seconds longer and left firing once the reload has been completed will not cancel the rest of the animation. The only way to sorta negate the extra anim length is to swap off of and back to the weapon, which gets rather infuriating. Super easy fix just speed up the spin or remove one of the smacks)
animation speed increase would be good enough i think. the first swings doing dookie damage would be a lot less annoying if you could get to the second set faster, and being able to trigger an additional lunge sooner would help with catch up
the third swing should hit like a truck instead of a feather duster though, it makes me wonder if they just forgot to 2x it like the others...

The game's chat and pings don't work for me and couple of my m8s. Anyone else has problem with this? We can see pings on map and hear players ping voice, but no text in chat. Also when you type in chat sometimes it doesn't show anything.

Please give us the ability to "+1" and "-1" rate players (both friendly and enemy) to give "community scores", rather than just reports.
If I have a particularly good match with other skilled players where I respect their game, I would like the ability to give them a "+1" to show they are a good player.
Similarly I would like the ability to "-1" some player who is doing anti-teamwork things (but not necessarily deserving a report for "Toxic Behavior").
Similarly, I think it would be a good idea to prevent matchmaking between players who are blocking or blocked by each other. As it stands currently, blocking doesn't really seem to do anything other than prevent party invites. If I block another player, I want to no longer be put in matches with them.

I disagree with number 3. Trust me I am a light main and run cloak in all of my games since its the best choice imo. But they seriously overtuned the cloak. You can stand still and remain cloaked for around 2 minutes. (im not sure about the exact time but its around the 2 minute mark) The energy system is an amazing way to go for the cloak and mesh shield but I think Embark kinda overtuned the cloak

As a 1400 sword main I disagree
The buff in 4.0 made the skill ceiling much lower and made sword a “jump on” weapon and was bad for sword players in general as casual players were playing against more swords and crying more
Although the 4.6 nerf was unneeded and just a stuipd decision by embark and just another typical buff and nerf

The Lunge increase on the Dual blades is an amazing touch and so is the fact that the deflect is better too

as an occasional sniper user, and routine sniper bullet absorber, sniper does not need a buff. Maybe it's bad in WT or ranked, but it's a serious issue in Powershift that requires either a better sniper player on your team, or multiple players to coordinate against.

I think it’s funny some people complaining about lights but at the end of the day it is the hardest class to play with the team cus of the small health pool and the way ur supposed to play the role to be able to be in and out of a fight before u get seen and do something enough b4 u die, most of the guns require a okay about of skill and a lot to master, which is the base for any ranked match making needing to master the class ur using, I’m a light player and I understand it’s not everyone’s favorite but it’s the character I like not every light wants to try and solo the whole team

The taser is without a doubt the worst part of the Finals. It is just an ez kill device. It works the worst against melee, because they have no range so its just an ez kill with absolutely no skill attached to it. You changed it for 1.5 seconds to something better, but I'm guessing all the people who pretend their good with it wanted it back to the ez kill mode. It's so lame. Why is it even in this game? The taser should be cabled and the taser should break once the line breaks, The concept of your taser makes no logical sense. If its a taser then a cable is needed, if cable breaks tasing should stop. You guys are treating it like some imaginery stun gun, once it you magically stay stunned despite no cable. It makes no sense.
Idk what made you think this game was going for the realistic vibe but the taser only gives you a kill if your target is not with their team. It deals no damage and if you already have a gadget in hand while stunned, once you use it you automatically switch to your primary. Keep complaining about the 150 health class though.

If you for example made it even less viable to move with the cloak due to energy drain, but also introduced a better way to detect a still standing light for some sort of counterplay, then I think it could work.

Shotguns should not have 100% hipfire accuracy while running/jumping thats why they are so strong right now, no other weapons has 100% hipfire accuracy while jumping arround like a monkey
This is not why they’re so strong. The SA1216 is strong purely because it does exactly what heavy is supposed to do.
The light shotguns are perfectly balanced alongside the Cerberus

This is by far THE WORST the game has felt in regards to connectivity. The performance update was bundled with a net code downgrade. As a casual player, this makes sense. I only disagree with the firerate. It's a sniper rifle, so it's supposed to have a slow firerate. But being able to one-shot a light with a sniper rifle, two-shot a medium, and three-shot a heavy makes perfect sense to me.
In addition, let me say that casual gamers do care about balance, but we also care about annoying sweaty twitch streamers who exploit the game and abandon objectives for eliminations.

its not an ez all the time. you can usually turn it around if you get stunned since most lights will move into your face to ensure a kill. you can also still use gadgets while stunned so my favorite thing is to just throw a goo nade at them

I agree, since the last update I had to drop my graphic settings to low just to get 120fps, the day before the update I had 160-170fps on high settings.. something is not right, and I know for sure it's the new update, and not my machine. I have RTX40 and i7 with 64gb of ram, I run any game with no problem.
Every 24 hours contestants get one ranked game a day that can't result in losing RS, only gaining.
This might get rid of some fear players have of getting into ranked knowing there is loss forgiveness.
Edit: and maybe this system goes away once reaching platinum?

It's actually quite funny how the developers have been unable to implement a basic skill-based matchmaking system for four seasons now. It could be that the player base is so small that they can't find equal opponents, or it could be that they just haven't been able to do it properly, and they're failing season after season.
@idle glen What makes me think it should be like a taser is it's name is a Taser, so it should be like a taser? Call it a stun gun? You don't say gun and assume lasers come from it? Also I'm pointing out from many hours of play as a Light player someone with invisibility, taser, shotgun combo(which is common) easily just one shot lights so many times. New Gamemode Ideas!
I was thinking that the game needs some more modes to play, so heres a two ideas ive come up so far
Idea #1: Playground
❓ Made for private matches to play with friends. The party leader can set the teams, teleport players, turn on god modes, switch gameshow events, revive and eliminate players and tweak hp and weapon dmg and stuff like that.
Idea #2: Capture The Flag
❓ Steal the other team's "Cash cases" (briefcases containing coins) and defend your own. A Casual gamemode, but maybe it could also be in ranked idk
👥 5v5 or 6v6, Teamwipes: Off
Each Cash case contains 8k, The first team with 40k or most money when time runs out wins
⏲️ Time limit: 10-15 minutes.
⏱️ Respawn timer: 12-22s (depending on how many kills you got before dying)

if we want to we could headshot a heavy, have 0 bullets left and instead of reloading we could finish with 3 darts, or we can hit a medium with our last bullet, hit 3 tracking darts and finish of with quick melee.
the tracking dart got buffed last season but still hasnt made it even close to be meta, since this buff would not only synergize with the sniper i think this would be THE PERFECT CHANGE to bring tracking dart in the meta

my opinion:
being able to kill mediums with 2 body shots is way stronger than being able to one shot headshot them. i know there were numerous people crying over a potential sniper buff pre season (actually just a few who were very loud), but hitting a sniper headshot in up to 30 meters range on a target being aware of you is insanely hard. if they are aware, they should always be able to force the sniper to close distance or do it themselves.
but again, casuals wont care about true balance anyways. they just care about annoyance
considering that the bow is better than the sniper in ever way (reload, damage, hipfire accuracy, adjustable firerate, no delay when zooming in…) i think it should be time to either, buff the sniper to a good amount, or nerf every other good weapon in the game since there are LEVELS between the rifle and everything else. (which isnt realistic)

as this game dwindles in population ( :[ ) i think it would be better for the game's playability to instead of queuing 24 people per game, you have a bunch of servers queue up a 12 person server for the first round, then enter a second state of matchmaking for the winners of these rounds, then lead into the one versus one at the end

The cerberus could do with some sort of damage or pellet spread buff. It doesn't do enough damage in order to compensate for only three bullets and the awful range.

Both light shotguns are fine lol. Yes light is very good at gap closing if you let them. It’s incredibly easy to space out a light player. Not to mention the DB has to reload after getting a kill so it requires teamplay and strategy to work well. The matter kills slower than the other close range options on light and is mostly meant for teamfights.
Neither of these weapons are a balancing issue lol. They work perfectly fine in both mid elo and high elo
You refuse to read feedback other game breaking balance or the top 500 players POV:
Allow to save different sensitivity settings for each weapon. I know this would enable me to swap between more weapons and classes more frequently.
Possibly even save different key binds per class ( light with movement specials may want different keybindings).
In world tour my teammates are usually like people that have barely played the game before but my opponents are like emerald players. To solve this either make world tour and things like it blocked until you reach a higher level or get more win. The other option I can think of is to spread the people who have gotten emerald around instead of all on one team.

dash combo with a sword or dagger needs to be fixed. you should not be able to charge up the second hit while dashing. also with the dash and dagger. you can hit the secondary hit with the dagger almost anywhere and it will count as a back stab.
lockbolt needs a range buff. it doesnt even lock them. they can still run 30 meters away. when i saw it. i though it was gonna lock them in like a 5-10m area. but 30-40 meters. nah. 100% needs a buff.
arena smoke and fog needs to be lowerd. throwable smoke is fine. but in the new mexico map. if you break a small bit of a house. its gonna be so smokey. i could probably play better with my monitor off.
cerberus shotgun 100% needs a small. AND I MEAN SMALL. range buff. if you are like 10m+ it does like no damage. (and before you say: its a shotgun. not meant for range, i would like to point out. when it comes to hunting. you use shotguns for 50-100m ranges)
i still think that if a shootable gadget has a cooldown. it should be auto reloaded when back. like RPG, you already have to wait 45 seconds for it to come back. and then another 2.5 seconds to reload. (even tho i hate the stun gun. i will argue it should be for all the gun gadgets)
a quality of life setting i would love. is allowing diffrent crossairs for diffrent guns. and sensativity settings. like when i play sniper, i wanna have a specific sense crossair to be as effective as possible. while not having to change it mid game.
jukebox 100% needs pickable music. I LOVE HOW I CAN CHANGE TO SEASON 1 OST. but if i could pick to have destroyer play everytime i search a game. that would be sooo hype.
dome shield 100% needs to be buffed. the nerf that happend in season 3. it needs to be reverted. i think it should last the 12 seconds unless someone shoots it. and do keep in mind that if you throw ur dome and it lands in fire. it insta kills it.

Huge part of beta/s1' success was setting up creative defenses like sandbox pvp, now for past 2-3 seasons after you fought for the cashbox the wiped team not only spawns by the time you get to cashout to plug, but they arrive there nearly the same time leaving in most cases probably 5-10 seconds to set up defenses? It was 1000x times better when you had a more time to set up bunker, move cashout, find place for mines/turrets, gather canisters theres just sooo much this game has to offer for creative defense and its all thrown out the window to please the adhd call of duty ipad kid audience. Thats not the optimal playerbase that'll build a great community neither will they make quality content which is essential for player influx/retention.

What a boring season Embark is still mediocre and doesn't care about innovating by creating new game modes and they still haven't learned how to balance the weapons, they really disappoint and I say this with pain since I have played more than a thousand hours and it had become my favorite shooter, but now it is very boring, especially with the bugs and broken shotguns. Its because they have fostered and coddled the most unbearable community in all of gaming while catering to that same part of the community, one slight bit of critsism about [insert moderately powerful thing] is dogpiled on by "Carboard 2" / "Skill issue" Ipad kids with no actual counter argument all while the devs are being completely out of touch.
Honestly at this point I'm convinced more than 90% of the playerbase has hit emerald as pretty much EVERYONE I go up against has the Emerald background for their player card. Nowadays I barely have something like 8 hours to play every week so there's no way I can keep up with the people playing 8 hours a day for the entire season.
As for some actual feedback: Some days the game feels snappy and I feel like my shots land and my guns to damage, but other days (like today) I'm getting blasted around corners constantly, to the point I'm looking straight at a wall in the "killcam" where it focusses on the player who killed you. Can barely win a single gunfight either right now, even if I hit all my shots and a couple of headshots I'm still nowhere close to killing someone before they vaporize me. Does anyone else have the same experience? IMO servers seem to be all over the place performance wise. This has been going on as long as I remember, to the point where I just quit the game after one or two matches because I know there's no way in hell it's going to work favorably for the rest of the day.
Please expand the practice range and allow the dummies to strafe instead of just driving around slowly. Also let us customize them like giving them a mesh shield, letting them dash, let them go invis, etc. I feel like a lot of people could actually improve their gameplay if they can familiarize themselves with these things in a less chaotic environment

Sad to see but yes that is indeed the case. Every world tour game I enter regardless of my rank is filled with half of the players who just installed and other half emeralds who play 9 hours a day. It hurts to say this but the game already feels dead, I played a bit on the day the season released, played a bit today as well but there is just nothing that can keep me in this game... and I am sure for many others as well (judging by the playercount), with so many filthy and annoying gamestyles being promoted since ages and nothing done to address them, true competitive aspects get overbalanced while others get focused around casual play, ruining both as a result. Why bother investigating separate player and weapon parameters depending on the nature of the gamemode am I right? (They did it for Terminal Attack once and never for weapons, refuse to do it for everything else) Why bother enforcing comps and roles to enhance solo experience and help people synergize at least to some degree higher over the current state? Why bother carefully creating a unique and balanced gunplay even if it is not fully based in real-life models, while avoiding tools only used to grief while not actually achieving anything for the person using them in a competitive setting - or at least locking those away for more casual gamemodes? The casuals get annoyed at the bs, the competitive people get annoyed at the bs. This game is not competitive and seeing people consider themselves top players while queueing only 3-stack and abusing every annoying aspect of the game against what is usually weaker players (and despite all of that still sometimes losing due to the randomness of it) all to get some rank after grinding for 8 hours a day without any other benefits other than a few in-game currency payouts and skins is just funny to me. Seeing the state of things it looks like the developers seem to want to get over with it as well... they probably have plans for future projects and I don't blame them

SR-84 needs to increase damage. And not by 3, but about 10. Now any weapon with a sight does more damage than a sniper rifle can do at a distance. You have heavies that do 250 damage in seconds by pressing one button, are you even sane on balance?

I've watched some competitive finals gameplay on twitch and it's HMM only, all running shotguns, every fight is started with a dome shield and a winch claw. There is no variation and I found the gameplay very boring to watch which is the antithesis of what the finals as a game should be. The game was so fun to play especially in OB and season 1 and 2 now the changes has funnelled gameplay into what the meta is that month (or five months). I still have fun playing WT though, I like the new map but the new weapons and gadgets are not worth running, I think this season badly needed new powershift maps and a new game mode like CTF or team death match, it would have benefited casuals or players with a squad bigger than three people.

Marvel Rivals is fun because everything is chaos. This game used to be complete chaos too, but instead of going with a casual sandbox approach, they called out all the cheaters and sweaty ones with the “Ranked” mode. They really can’t figure out why this game is fun and why it’s still alive, it’s because casual players; top players get their rank and leave or c**kblock each other, they really need to improve things, but I think it’s too late, The Finals is old news. Oh yeah, why did they nerf the jump pad??? Like, who tf whined about the jump EVER, are you kidding???...
I remember that in the past, if someone in the team had already quit, the others wouldn't be punished for leaving, and I think this was a great design. It allowed players to avoid being forced into a match when someone in the team was being toxic or when the team was incomplete. Why was this change removed?
Now, when someone insults me and my mother, and my teammates leave because they can't stand it, I’m still forced to play for them, otherwise I’ll face a penalty for quitting.

This season did not change enough, being a ruby player last season i can tell you that it does not feel good playing the same shit every game with plugs plugs plugs all the time, i know you can play MMH but why do you think that a lot of ruby teams are playing with 1 light player and its only for plugs. And wipe is to low of % it cant be 10% when you gain so much money. This season right now feels like they did nothing to change the meta, sure you cant play triple M but its still going to be plugs meta and its sooooo boring.
Second thing is the amount of cheaters in this game.
If you did not know there is more cheaters than you think even the known ruby players are cheating or playing with cheaters to get more RR so they can flex. I had a cheater in my game and he told me that the anti cheat is so bad that you can get away with almost anything and its very easy to avoid it.
There has to be a major fix in the plug meta and a way better anti cheat or a system where you have to login with a phone or something im tired of seeing ruby players like legit ruby players getting boosted by cheaters just because they want a higher rank

I pushed for Diamond because I didn't have the time or life to go for Ruby but I agree with everything you said. The transition from Season 3 to Season 4 was great because it overhauled the ranked system (again), it added genuinely great weapons, (yes the pike was OP) and a great map that I love.
However, the transition from Season 4 to Season 5 was very underwhelming. I was not looking forward to the new weapons and the only gadget I was excited for was the lockbolt which is criminally garbage. I'm tired of the map already due to grinding WT and just can't seem to get the motivation to play a session longer than 3 hours.
I'm not playing ranked yet because all the top players are sweating through it and I'm not going to have a bad time dying all the time. I am happy with the triple medium meta gone but seeing it change to HML is interesting. The plug meta is tiring and very boring. When I run light when scrimming I spend 30% of my time wondering if stealing a plug will be smart or immediately going for the first plug. And it's been like that for the past 3 months now.
When do we get to fortify the area and fully set ourselves up for fights and not endlessly run around just to get the plug? This season has been great and really the only thing I've enjoyed was the jukebox. Cosmetics are cool but if I'm not going to wear any Halloween cosmetics, what makes me think I'll use the Christmas cosmetics?

Thats a common sentiment, Open Beta > Season 1 > Season 2 was when the game was at its best everything was strong and viable you was not forced to play a certain way that was the magic of the finals that has been completely lost.
The game is a soulless shell of what it once was.
Proximity sensors are extremely frustrating to play against especially when a team has multiple people using it. And on controller it can be hard to shoot them due to the extremely small hitbox.
In the beta and season 1 of finals the Defibrillator will be revive teammates in very next second with only 50% of health and i vulnerability of 1.5 seconds.
- Later in season 1 the invulnerablity was reduced to 0.75 seconds.
- In season 2 the reviving process takes 3 seconds after defibrillatoring the teammates. With only 50% health and 0.75 seconds invulnerablity.
- In season 5 the reviving process takes 3 seconds with only 50% health and 0.75 seconds invulnerablity and you can't use your utilities and specialisation for whole 8 seconds🙂👍🏻.
Where you can revive him by yourself in 7 seconds with 100% HP 🙂👍🏻along with all utilities. This doesn't feel like balance changes. Either make it like you can revive in 1 second without utilities or with utilities in 3 seconds. The recent Nerf feels like a curse than Nerf.
Nuking was the signature move by heavy which was featured in the first game trailer 🙂by throwing flower pot with c4. This game mechanics got lost. They could have reduced the damage it deals. Instead of Reducing its range which now feels like suicide bombing.
If a red explosion barrel is gonna go in a random direction when I send it anyway then what is the use of it in the game itself. 🙂
Team wipe cost you -33% which was encouraging to do team wipe which makes the game interesting. There used to be 2 way to get qualified every round.

Which makes the game more exciting where there are possibilities for you to win in last 1 second. But now whenever the top 2 teams get 2 cashouts there is no way you can win, you will eventually feel demotivated not to try hard🙂, untill and unless you surprisingly get 5 and 6 vaults which in 2 different map location🙂👍🏻 in one cashout which is not possible most of the cases.

The mesh shield is in a very good spot right now, I don’t use it ever. But I could tell before this patch that it was absolutely useless.. heavies are in a good place now with the 2 great guns that have been added to it. Mediums new gun is ok, it’s not horrible but idk. It’s definitely fun to use. The game overall feels in a good place and I’m having a blast this season and last season
Also mostly cuz the games gotten more sweat-centered, even quick cash lobbies are infected with ex emeralds and diamonds
What if we had a special game mode where only one type of each player is allowed (L/M/H). I think this would alleviate a lot of annoying issues

The balance department must have been dropped on their heads as children. Especially if they respond to every complaint from whiny players. Nerfing the sniper rifle, a projectile that flies like a ping-pong ball for an eternity and can be outgunned by any fool with a pistol at 100 meters. Nerfing the sniper rifle's damage, but they don't see the problems with shotguns. Instead, they introduce a shotgun with incendiary rounds. I also love the hidden changes to characteristics, especially turrets, and now everyone can clearly see the invisibility. I suggest you visit public places. I also love the new defibrillator system, it's amazing when you're revived by someone as gifted as the people from the balance department, and you're left with no chance to go invisible or pray to God, those pathetic 50 HP disappear before you can blink. What else do I love... Oh right, the ram on heavies has become awesome, when these animals spin around like a butterfly, sweeping everything within a 10-meter radius. It feels like the developers just love playing with shotguns and nerfed the sniper rifle, which was already rarely used. I won't even mention the lack of sounds or the failure to register hits on enemies (like with shurikens). Similar team colors, I love it... I miss the times when the most toxic thing was sticking C4 on ..box. In general, I love you all!

But I 100% agree on defibs. Not only were they nerfed too hard but the issue with defibs wasn’t even themselves. It was the model meta that cancelled out the main weakness of the gadget. We need a finals meta where you’re actually rewarded for diving a medium. It’s no fucking wonder why people say 2.6 - 3.0 was the best era of the game for balance, that was when people thought AKM was meta, an actually well balanced weapon that’s fun to use and play against. The club contracts are cool, but could it be made so that you can do more at a given time? I like the contract pool, but it doesn't really seem like a pool and more of a selection of contracts, and the harder ones don't even give more XP. Instead, could it be made so that you can do only two at a time, and once complete do two more, and so on for a total of ten a day. I love doing contracts, and some of them are harder / have me doing things outside I normally would (like running revvy or sniper) but there's no reason for me to choose a hard one, especially since it's actually NOT a pool (A large collection of shared contracts between players, where everyone has the same contracts in the pool and must select one )

Honestly it could be tested out and then eventually make it into ranked/world tour. Other games with similar issues such as Destiny have playtested this type of gamemode and its widely recieved well. When I think about the most annoying teams, its usually triple medium/heavy/light (at least in world tour when most people aren't in parties or communicating)
Who do I need to best in single combat to right this wrong? I get the concerns of it clipping with the cape, so what about it being worn like an actual belt?

QC changes absolutely broke the game mode and turned it into a bad TDM. It was my go-to when my friends weren't online or we didn't want to compete in WT/Ranked. Not anymore.
WT/Ranked feel infuriating due to the infamous plug meta, the (still) horrendous respawn logic and Light class shenanigans that can sometimes really abuse both of these (immobile invis, stun gun, gateway, etc.). I'm fine with losing, unless I get constantly defeated by dogshit teams whose only achievements throughout the rounds were plugging vaults, getting lucky respawns, and eventually getting a lucky steal on the (almost inevitable) last double cashout. A steal that's sometimes handed to them by the leading team.
No wonder why I've played tournaments where my team had to sweat hard during both qualifiers, only to effortlessly stomp dummies in the final round. Bad teams can rat/luck their way through qualifiers, only to fall flat on their faces when they actually need to win team fights, as both plugging vaults and third partying are out of the equation.
It sure feels fair and rewarding to wipe a team at a vault, only for this team (or another that got wiped on the other side of the map) to be GRANTED BY THE GAME a golden respawn at the closest cashout station, where all they have to do to get 30% of a vault is killing/stunning its carrier, who's literally holding a blinking "I'M RIGHT HERE" sign. They neither need to wipe the whole team, or care about getting wiped again, as long as they plug the damn vault. Wow, so much skill on display.
It feels equally fair and rewarding to see THE GAME ITSELF third partying your team, by spawning a second team behind your back while you're already fighting another. That second team is actually the one that failed to get/keep the other vault/cashout, and they're being GIFTED a golden opportunity to piggyback on either of the other two teams for a steal. Why ? What have they done to deserve it ?
Embark, please fix this mess.
add more faces with voices and let us choose the face and voice independently, you can make them expensive if you want
i think quick cash is a little too much for new players. its likely the first mode they try out because of how its placed in the lobby and how its name, "quick" cash, gives the impression that you should try it first. new players wont automatically understand world tour and they also wont dive into ranked. quick cash by itself may be too chaotic to anyone trying to learn the game; especially because it will pit you against really good players. my suggestion is to move quick cash off the main lobby play screen. I would replace it with a 3v3 cashout mode. A more controlled environment would be more welcoming to new players trying to dip their toes in the water and learn what the finals has to offer. quick cash would exist in the quickplay section. The goal here is to increase player retention so the game gets some recognition it deserves.

Please let goo gun hit charging heavies again. If stun gun and winch can interrupt charge, goo gun should at least be able to slow em down a bit. Had a great rock paper scissors with Charge beats Mesh beats Goo beats Charge, goo gun shots traveling straight thru Charge just feels bad.

There’s a glitch on Bernal where the spinning platform is up but invisible. Teams are using this to cheat. Then a light took the cash box and ran away running out the clock, which is too easy on Bernal. Not a fun match.

Fix the default load outs to be less troll, especially medium. It's difficult to get people into the game because they have to unlock everything that's actually good, the game gives them a bunch of garbage to start with. Medium is the easiest entry level role, no reason it should be the hardest to get into.

is anyone elses "hit two opponents with arena carriables, key, or cash boxes" mission bugged? Ive hit people with chairs (even killed a guy with a chair lol), pots, barrels, and the cash box multiple times over but nothing is completing the mission
why is the meteor shower event so rare? I'm trying to get the Space Rock Skipper achievement? but how do I do it if meteors fall so rarely? I have this annoying low gravity literally in every match, and I only got the meteor shower once a month. I also noticed that on new maps the meteor shower doesn't appear at all, or am I just unlucky? It would be better if the frequency of meteor shower and low gravity were swapped
Ttk in this game is completely fine. It’s a team based FPS, the genre itself is meant to have high ttk. This game actually has relatively low ttk compared to others in the genre.

You should be able to earn past season ranked/WT rewards, but it should take some effort. For example, you could make it take a whole lot of XP and only target a single skin per season, so you still have to put in time and effort. You could involve an RNG element / loot drops if you wanted to go that route. Or emboss flavor text on the side "Replica" so there's some indication it wasn't earned during the season. Maybe you have to unlock rank 6 of the gun skin you want before you can start earning progress toward a previous season ranked reward. Or sell them in the store for multi-bucks, but wait a year so they can be exclusive for a while. The stickers and charms can remain forever locked. These are all ideas for how you could reintroduce previous seasons' ranked rewards and minimize any perceived loss of prestige. There are some sweet beta skins that a lot of current players probably never had access too, and the same goes for seasons 1-4. The fact will always remain that not everyone who enjoys the Finals is currently playing the game or has time to complete seasonal rewards. Yes, ranked play rewards should be prestigious and worth earning, but they should not be gone forever. FOMO is not a positive way to encourage players to engage with your game. Forcing players to grind a large amount in a short period of time leads to burnout, not long-term player retention. How much time do you realistically expect players to engage with your game to earn these rewards? What is your long-term plan for ranked rewards? This topic will keep coming up forever basically. Just look at World of Warcraft - they brought back a lot of "limited time" stuff and the response was positive (yeah the finals isn't an mmo but it's just an example). You might never be able to satisfy both sides of this discussion. Also this helps to combat the weird situation where you are releasing ranked skins for weapons that are not widely used, since balancing can change over time.
Weekly game modes would be cool! Domination, Rush, "Heavy mayhem", you name it.

but why 40 damage?
if we want to we could headshot a heavy, have 0 bullets left and instead of reloading we could finish with 3 darts, or we can hit a medium with our last bullet, hit 3 tracking darts and finish of with quick melee.
the tracking dart got buffed last season but still hasnt made it even close to be meta, since this buff would not only synergize with the sniper i think this would be THE PERFECT CHANGE to bring tracking dart in the meta

being able to kill mediums with 2 body shots is way stronger than being able to one shot headshot them. i know there were numerous people crying over a potential sniper buff pre season (actually just a few who were very loud), but hitting a sniper headshot in up to 30 meters range on a target being aware of you is insanely hard. if they are aware, they should always be able to force the sniper to close distance or do it themselves.
but again, casuals wont care about true balance anyways. they just care about annoyance
considering that the bow is better than the sniper in ever way (reload, damage, hipfire accuracy, adjustable firerate, no delay when zooming in…) i think it should be time to either, buff the sniper to a good amount, or nerf every other good weapon in the game since there are LEVELS between the rifle and everything else. Acutely, the balance sucks, if one gun can beat the opponent in middle distance and also kill melee shortly in close range, that means the fxxking Embark doesn't care about balance.
Wtf, if a melee weapon can't easily win the TTK check fight, how can those players get fun? pray the gun player misses?
If Embark thinks, someone has a great aim so, he can, go in any way and don't care about his opponent playing which weapon, is that fair?
Range weapons can easily help his teammates, do damage to drive away opponents, if he kills someone and has low HP, he still can stare at opponents who want to save his teammate, and at the same time, the poor melee play needs to wait for the HP full to make sure the next fight can do some damage.
Melee weapons can't even clear mine without taking damage, and even if you are the best melee weapon player still cant beat the light he has stun gun.
I've said a lot of times to Embark on discord, melee weapons are a lot of unfair disadvantages like, its attack could be quick melee attack block, too weak when you meet stun gun, cant clear mine, easily be focused fire and difficult to help teams and even cant solo play because you always need to wait the fxxking HP full and you opponent just use five second to save and the melee would be useless.
All the melees player could do is pray your opponent miss or on reload, and that thing are all weapon can do and eve do more easily.
I've also suggest some change to make melee more useful and wouldn't break this game or destroy melee or other weapon game play, like make the TAB show all player's specialization and weapon, give melee (or all) weapons kill someone regen 100 HP in WT or RK (it can also make light more powerful in high ELO game)
I really really love this game, I think the game could be better, that has diversity play style, this game would not be restricted by "FPS" game!

Glitch Trap’s current design is blatantly inherently unhealthy:
- It literally has an infinite duration
- The tether doesn’t break correctly even if you break LOS
- Even after you break the tether you stay glitched for like a full second
- The hit box is tiny as fuck
- The effect outright makes Light unplayable in the AoE because LITERALLY the ONLY thing that prevents a Light from instantly dying despite 150 HP is their specializations and gadgets, both of which the Glitch Trap auto perma disables in the radius
Glitch Traps need to:
- Go down from a deploy limit of 2 to 1
- Self-destruct after a certain duration has elapsed after deployment
- That duration needs to go down faster while glitching people
- If glitching multiple people, needs to go down even faster based on # of people past the first simultaneously glitched

Turn glitch traps back into mines, they were literally fine and had loads of cool niche uses like popping domes and meshes. All it needed was a slightly bigger explosion radius.

I really disagree, sniper has a use case but shouldn't be strong in the finals and you should really understand why. Tracking dart buff is maybe a way to get what you want and add some skill to it but only if it becomes a projectile

The issue is you're missing. Sword should be reverted to how it was in s3.
It makes balancing harder, and with a lot of variables and interaction between different weapons and specialities the more they add the harder it's for them to balance

Not everyone wants to hop on and sweat their asses off. Part of the reason this game was so great when it first came out is because it was a really funny and unique experience where you could mess around a lot. This sweat meta has just kinda taken the fun out of this game at times. I queue up for a world tour and its like a 80% chance im gonna end up fighting at least 1 tripple stack medium team who just tears through the entire match. It really just makes players not wanna keep playing

I can tell you the same thing about the sword: The issue is you're missing. And to hit a fly that is circling around me at incredible speed, I need to have the reaction of a mongoose and 100+ fps. The requirements are too high just to defeat an opponent with a sword. On the other hand, aiming with a sword is much easier, so your requests are stupid, because they will create an even greater imbalance

The issue with sword is that it literally cannot hit stuff outside of it's range. The solution to your problem is to get better at aiming and tracking. I dont have 100 fps nor the reaction of a mongoose, yet I have half decent aim and gamesense, which is enough to beat most sword players I fight. When I do lose to a sword player, it's either by my mistake or they simply played better. Sword is an intrinsically weaker weapon because it has no range.
People would rather complain about sword than to learn to play against it. Bring it back to how it was in season 3 😔

Make the Cerberus pellet spread tighter. The damage drop-off already weakens it, but the wide spread makes it much harder to hit targets compared to the Model 1887, which shouldn't be the case at all (which is still a better gun overall).
It's strange how sometimes it seems to deal full damage, while other times it's only dealing about a third of it. Tightening the spread would make it more consistent without touching it's range, which should still be the Model 1887's territory.

I understand what you mean, truly. I just dont think it matters at this point since the gun is already released with cqc in mind. It’s a wishful thinking medium be purely mid-range combatant . What pissed me off so much with model its range, but its not the case with cerberus. Its a fun gun with truly embraces what a shotgun should be, powerful at close range but sucks at medium and long trades. its just its pallet spread that sometimes fucks it over and people already pointed it out before.
Not much to say but class specific keybinds would be nice if thats even possible
