In the finals, make the cashbox "loading bars" longer so it's easier to know how much time is left with the top left HUD, not only the in-world indicator.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the bar is fully yellow but there is actually enough time left for a last moment steal.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
  • Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

  • This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

  • Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
  • Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

i dont understand how so many people could hate invis so much. yeah when i die to a light invis camping a corner of a cashout its slightly annoying but once i know there is a invis light in my lobby its hard for them to sneak up and just kill me. stun is solid i wouldn't say too powerful, but i'd like some other gadgets get buffed so people have a reason to not use stun all the time.
sword is actually pretty balance too, its stronger against bad players tho.
i think the battle pass is fine, as long as you do the contracts you can get through it pretty quick.
sniper really sucks rn, no one plays it in ranked. and there's actually a game modifier that directly fucks snipers, (making them have to move constantly) orbital laser.
It's annoying when literally everyone goes "FIX ANTICHEAT" all the time, Embark knows their anticheat needs more work and are actually working on it.

mode suggestion: broken pipes

During this event, a bunch of pipes beneath the map rupture. This causes water to burst out of the ground, in random places that are not covered by big buildings. They target areas near players, and make a rumbling sound before exploding.
The initial blast deals a lot of damage and can destroy some terrain. It keeps spewing until the event is over, and they act as jump-pads. Being near it disorients you with water splattering and the noise of the pressure.

The arena is full of cheaters, anti-cheat is not doing a good enough job of detecting cheats whatsoever, in-game report system seems to have no impact and only seems to act as a placebo to make us feel like reporting them is doing something. There is no way we know that a player we have reported has gotten banned, we need updates focused around making the arena accessible to only legitimate players, especially with how common they are in ranked.

Fire alarm: By shooting the fire alarm handles placed throughout the building, you turn on alarms and water sprinklers that distort view when standing under it. The sprinklers also clear out any fire/gas/smoke that could be present.

Fuse Box: By shooting the fuse box, the lights shut off and all utilities in the area are disabled. This includes powered doors and elevators.

Revert the C4 charge amount nerf

this map should be based off of santorini, cyprus, venice, or any seaside area that have similar building style.
it should be built in a way that there are general high areas and low areas (like monaco), but overall have more cover and barriers than monaco. many flowing pathways that are a bit more linear than other maps (skyway).
there is water that rises and falls as the match progresses, opening and closing areas you can walk through

Who on the Dev team needs to be pinged about the very long-standing Jackpot Juggle bug ? (AK reload animation always resets to default on match start). This bug was apparently first reported on this channel on December 9 2023 #👂┇game-feedback message
What else do we need to do to report this bug so it gets fixed ?

Edit: just did some more testing and found that if you create a new contestant, the bug is gone. So this bug probably only exists for contestants that existed before you unlocked this animation during season 1 battlepass. So this is a workaround, still needs bug fix.

The game became incredibly frustrating. Cheaters, unfair spawns (far away from your cash out. Few times wiping 2 teams, dying with them and spawning next to an empty cashout), matchmaking is not skill based, new weapons are garbage.

the season 2 its just garbage, the new rank system and respawn its trully trash and annoing . NO mention that i got friends who actualy last season was stuck on silver 1 full season, and now after new rank and season they got gold 2 after play 8 matches with almost 0 kills combat cashouts, funny on that is that when i get 8 matches with 12+kills per round and xK dmg and support got bronz 2 . Hey devs there is a bug in game where you can change your weapon and gadgets in ranked. If you changed your loadout with your reserve loadout after you find the match if you leave the match and team wiped you will get your default guns.

DAY FIFTEEN! GIVE IT UP FOR DAY FIFTEEN of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
  • bullets do high damage to structures, allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Can we please get a finger guns skin for the stun gun? I think it would be super on brand canonically for a vr game 💕 and even meshes with the theme this season (think defib skin)

It also fits the outrageous style of skins embark obviously wants, and is something that would be extremely hard to do in nearly any other gaming environment.

Y’all could call it the “electric handshake” or something 🤷‍♀️

I can think of some hilarious reload/inspect animations for it too tbh, so I’m sure embark would be able to do the same ✨

Someone mentioned visibility may be an issue for opponents to recognize the light is holding a stun gun, but I honestly don’t think so; the lack of a gadget in the hand, plus the hand being held in a recognizable way, in a very strange position compared to any idle animation would make it pretty recognize, and tbh the stun is already very small and easy to miss. You could even add a static/electric particle effect while it’s drawn to help recognizability, if it really seems like an issue.

I know I would pay like $20 for this, and it’s such an outrageous idea that I’m sure it would be one of those like “only in the finals skins” that would fit great in a trailer. I was talking to Walker about it last night and they seemed at least a little interested 🤷‍♀️

it's these small bugs that make the game feel unplayable to me like

  • The healing beam stops working for the entire match
  • weapons stop shooting or reloading until you die or do some melee or swap between stuff
  • The game crashes too often
  • not a bug but a 90% chance that you play against a cheater every time you play ranked

I really love this game and its the only thing I play currently please fix these things to make the game feel much smoother and fun

I think there needs to be an option to turn of the "aim assist for melee". I play on PC and the Fact that meleeing close to an enemy seems to override your aim is truly disrupting.
I have had many situations where i want to quick melee an enemy to finish them off but the "melee aim assist" just flicked to another enemy that is standing to my side causing me to not hit the player i wanted to finish. This also happens with Sledgehammer and caused me to die many times now. It also just feels wired having your aim taken over by the game and getting disoriented because of that.

I am not sure why this is in the game but adding an option to turn this feature off seems manageable to me.

(also the range of quick melee should be a little bit longer to feel more natural (you know not kissing range😅 ))

some adjustments to the rank system:

Hide ranks during tournament matches, except for your teammates'. This would prevent you from being targeted by the whole lobby solely based on your rank, especially when 99% of the team, you won't be matching up against enemies that are your rank. Always silvers/golds even if I'm stacking all diamond queue

Consider making queues longer to better match players with similar skill levels. Right now, it often feels like high-ranked players are constantly facing lower-ranked opponents, which can be frustrating and reminiscent of earlier seasons.

Introduce more ranks beyond the usual Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. It's disheartening to consistently encounter lower-ranked opponents when queuing with higher-ranked teammates. Either The good team stomps on the whole lobby or the whole lobby focus on knocking out the good player Because there isn't much more ranks, only 5 types of rank in the game you can get is very bad. Need more rank so better match making. and rank tournament being actual RANK

And on a different note:

I'd love to see a custom Tournament mode added to the game. It would provide a platform for players eager to improve and could even nurture a competitive scene. While I understand the focus on casual play, investing more in the competitive aspect could significantly prolong the game's lifespan.

Casual players may eventually lose interest once they've had their fill, but it's the competitive community that often keeps a game thriving. Without features like actually ranked tournament or custom tournament modes, there's little incentive for competitive players to stick around and continue investing time in the game.

In short, catering to both casual and competitive players is crucial for sustaining the game's longevity and fostering a passionate community.

Also improve on anti cheat, I know we just got a new Nexon anti cheat but it feels like there been more cheaters now. Idk how.

Idk if removing modes is the right idea... I do understand where they're coming from, they wanna switch their focus to what works. I do get a 3v3v3v3 cashout is a great idea for quick queueing, but quick cash did that already, in a very casual, very chill way. I think getting rid of unranked tournament would be detrimental for a vast number of players who like to play tournament without the risk of running into top 1000 players that might spoil their fun.

Bank it... I feel like not many people were playing bank it, yes, but it does provide a good twist to the existing formula, and it does gave us solo bank it and steal the spotlight (2 very good ltm that I actually enjoyed playing).

Rather than remove, I would rework. See why players don't play those modes, and introduce gimmicks and changes that give them a breath of fresh air and give it longevity, or even a tad bit of randomness...

EDIT: Imagine if in Bank It, cashouts didn't have timers, instead a cashout could only be used for depositing once and then it switched places. That would introduce some randomness and urgency to the mode.

uh so I really enjoyed the movement in open beta, the beta I started in, and closed beta was probably even better. This was definetly because of the movement. I think one of the main things I've really actually realised is the loss of momentum from sliding; it used to be that when you started sliding, you would gain velocity and then lose it as the slide went on, but now all you do is keep your velocity for like half a second and then start losing all of it. So all I'm saying is please try to bring back atleast SOME of the movement that was in closed/open beta.

Also, I have found that when I try to check what league I am, it only shows the rank. This is really annoying bc I have no clue if I'm close to de ranking or ranking up. Anyways, I guess that's it, I hope no one sees this as an angry request or anything, just some suggestions. Is the Moolah theoretical?

I think the game lobby could do with a revamp of the shooting range and have it so when you go the shooting range you can press escape and go right back to the menu, but also make it so parties work and you can test weapons outside of private matches with friends. would cause more resources in menu due to it probably having to have the menu almost be a "pause menu" for the gun range, but to check fast or have a quick load into it at least with friends without dragging everyone or having to leave a party.

Defib nerfs were way too harsh, it is now slower/safer than normal reviving

The only real issue with it previously was triple medium, just revert the nerfs but make it so if you get defibbed you respawn with a full cooldown on defib to prevent the team from chaining revives

I am not a fan of the removal of unranked tournament. It required a bit more dedication due time, but it was opener, more merciful and built up to a final tournament. As a Light sword main who is at best (yes, skill issues), there is zero reason for me to touch ranked until I git gud with the very unfavorite pick.

From my perspective bank it serves the role of a deathmatch in the finals.

Removing it **will force **contestants **who dont want to care about objectives **and would rather go for frags to **play other gamemodes **where some of these players might abandon their team and objectives and just go for kills.

That would lead to less fun experience for everyone

Bank it is the mode that relies the least on your teammates and was the thing that kept me playing when I got really frustrated with the lack of comms or team play from random players.

I understand the rationale, but this was a bad change.

Even if it had less players, it served the role of giving people who are about to churn, an out from the frustration of solo queue. I think this will hurt player retention in a way that’s hard to see in playlist population statistics.

Why would you take bank it out, literally the most fun mode for me and my friends. Its not as ‘campy’ as quick cash and you can play different guns which are useless in quick cash. (Sniper and throwing knives for example)

Even though Bank It wasn't played much; by myself included. It was a nice mode for many reasons. It was the most chaos since you didn't have to care too much about strategy. Also it was great for the fact you didn't need to be together as a team but still accomplish the win as one. At end of day I get the decision, but Idk if it was the best one.

Hey Embark I don’t think Bank It should be removed because it was great practice and great fun. It allowed for less campy and more active gameplay which really helped hone your gunplay skills (and personally helped my aim a lot). It felt like a fun quick way to get in get some kills and leave.

I'm someone who regularly spends money on cosmetics in games. (League of legends, Valorant, Helldivers, etc.) What is the thought process behind locking 95% of cosmetics behind full bundles? Most of the stuff in bundles is just awful. I want to buy certain parts from outfits. Not the entire outfit. I'm not spending 25 euros on a bundle when all I want is the facepaint or headpiece? It's like the devs dont want people's money?

Bundles should come with a discount compared to buying items individually. But items should not be locked behind a full bundle. This makes no sense.

Imo, Bank it shouldn't be removed.

Currently the modes we have are great as they are.

Its the only other variation of game mode that we've had which has been consistent and unique.
Whilst Cash Out and Powershift heavily rely on team dependency, bank it was able to be ran solo without feeling at a disadvantage, this was a big thing for a lot of players.
This will greatly impact the player base.
Bank it was that "Quick game at lunch" we all played, not 3v3v3v3 which is just a single match of a non ranked tourney. I don't really see the point of that.

Social Features.

Most of us have a hard time interacting with the community outside of discord, which insinuates that we are missing a lot of Social Features.
Although it adds potentially more visual to your hud, it would provide a lot of connection within the community
Lobby, Match and Team chat Along with PMs should've been launched on release with the game.
Lobby Emotes can create some very hilarious scenarios with friends.

Take long lasting community based games like OW for example, and find some inspiration towards it.

Came here to complain about this. Map selection, or at least the ability to ban a map from the queue would be lovely. Been getting Horizon 5 times in a row now even though our group unanimously dislikes that map.

@tropic swift I get the sentiment, but disagree. If the vast majority of the playerbase consistently votes out a map, it's a rather clear hint to the developers to do something with that information. We'll simply keep leaving, but it's getting rather tedious to get the one map you dislike significantly more often than you do other maps.

We need a equipment menu change. I think instead of displaying bars to compare stats, we need numbers. They should state how much per bullet or per pellet damage is involved with each weapon. And the range in which falloff begins to show in damage numbers.

Embark, I am guessing you know the landscape better than most of your players. I presume your decision to remove bank-it is driven by expediting queue times- depending on your target audience, this could be important and a priority for you.

For me, it is absolutely no matter to wait 5 mins for a game. Consider surveying players about queue times + game modes.

I’m thinkin bring in the old CSGO Overwatch program. I’d gladly waste my time to become “verified” to help ban cheaters. As I’m sure a ton of dedicated community members would love to help as well, but with the choices being made to remove game modes and just ignoring the community blatantly over hackers just running the game and not even hiding it. I have 2 things I believe would help The Finals out a lot,

First off with ranked I believe that instead of having to have the cashout last to get any money is a bad system, I believe there should be like 8 ticks on the cashout (one every 16.25 seconds of the 130 on a cashout) and say for example if you're putting in the virst vault worth 10k, each one of those eight ticks will give you $1,250, possibly with a bonus x2 amount of cash like $2,500 for having it last, that way it gives more of a reason to defend the cash out instead of trying to go third party come back, and maybe or maybe not get lucky and get the cash out back, basically will prevent people from getting all the cash just for third partying or getting lucky.

Second and last, smoke is basically useless, we all know this, hell flash grenades might even be more useful than smoke, Something I believe that would make smoke grenades more useful is make it where the smoke you or a teamate throws, you can see enemy outlines through, but they can barely see you back, and for canisters, whoever pops it can see through it. Smoke will still probably not really be used, but at least it isn't as bad.

Can we please change the pickup equipment button (on controller) so it’s not the same as pulling out your main weapon… putting up a barricade when you have two charges, in the middle of combat leaves you unable to pull out your weapon because you just go into the pickup equipment animation instead. i got an idea that should give the stun gun more skillful counterplay

instead of forcing hipfire, let the stun gun apply recoil to the player (as if they were shooting a gun)

someone who doesn't trust their aim can still hipfire
and someone who is proficient at counteracting its recoil can aim down sight and will be rewarded by having higher survival chances
this way its not up to spread rng but rather the player, which should make it less frustrating to face

Gamemode Feedback

  • Bank It:

With the temporary removal of this mode (due to it’s low player count), i would like to recommend a slight change to the mode that (in my opinion) would increase the playability within the mode 100%.

The change i’d recommend would be to remove the “cashbox secure” feature from the mode and have the principal of the mode be solely based on elimations/coin holding, the team with the most coins held before the time limit hits 0 would be decided the winner.

This would promote the true casual-like feel towards the mode, something it originally strayed a bit away from introducing the micromanaging cashbox feature within it.
This change would also make the gameplay of the mode very different from its competitor modes (Quick Cash, Power Shift & Ranked/Cash Out) which is what it should’ve originally felt like 100% rather than what we got (which wasn’t 100% different).

Recruit-A-Friend program/incentive:

  • When you invite new/returning players (1 or 2 months inactive) to play THE FINALS and they refer your Embark ID, (with a cap on referrals, maybe 2-5 max active at a time I guess?) you gain access to a small bonus +XP% modifier and the credits to unlock stuff. Maybe the bonuses are only active when you’re all playing together at the same time, by an additive 2%.
  • Gains each player access to an additional limited-time rewards track that’s non-determinant on playing in a group (in case they’re busy), similar to a battle pass but giga condensed. Ultimately culminating in… idk, a unique defibrillator skin or something. Or unique rewards to the system.
  • Idk how hard it would be to implement but maybe based off of the referral linking, the new players would get access to 1 random set of weapon/gadget/spec that the recruiter already owns that rotates per day/week? I’m not sure on all the specifics, just the core idea.

I'll admit that I don't play Bank It at all but I know people who do and only play that. Removing a gamemode is not going to help anything at all as far as playerbase goes. Nobody is really going to START playing The Finals because you added Cashout (because it's so close to Quick Cash that it's not going to suddenly bring anybody in). But people WILL leave The Finals if you remove Bank It. I don't really see the upside in removing what was thought to be a core game mode.

It just makes no sense to me as to why Bank It should be removed for "low player count" when you could say the same for the entirety of the game. What makes the count an issue when queues take less than a minute to even hop in a game? Better yet, why remove one of the more unique gamemodes opposed to Quick Cash Vs Cashout? Thermal vision needs to not have such a jaring look to it. Also grapple needs to either have 2 uses or quicker reload. Private matches should be able to be started in a way that makes them open where you can have a server list to choose from open private matches. Maybe even make it so you can access old ltms through it.

Every class has things that infuriating to fight. Turret is obnoxious, defib is obnoxious, healing beam is obnoxius, rpg is obnoxious, SA1216 is obnoxious, instant barricade head glitch is obnoxious.

Stop blaming game balance for your own poor decisions. Stun gun for kills literally makes it take longer for the light to kill you, and only works when you’re out of position. If they just shot you instead of hitting you with the stun you’d have even less time to react than when they stun you. Avg Human reaction time is 250ms, and the fcar takes 500ms to kill a light if you don’t miss a single bullet; the m11 kills a medium in like 0.86 seconds. So unless you have a perfect flick, don’t miss a single shot, and have perfect reaction time, and they don’t juke any of your shots (extraordinarily unlikely) you’re going to die to a light that just starts beaming you in the back without stunning you. If they hit one or two headshots, which isn’t hard on an unaware target, it’s mathematically impossible for you to win the fight UNLESS they stun you, because it takes a bunch of time to pull out the stun gun, fire it, put it away, and start firing the main weapon.

I play exclusively Bank It and with the next update I will probably not play anymore. The other gamemodes are just not what I like: running and gunning like in a TDM. And for a Fast FPS like The Finals, I think there is value in catering to solo "run n gun" type of players. Quick Cash has longer respawning and more objective based gameplay. It's just not the same chaos.

But to be completely honest I love playing on console and I don't purely play on the finals all the time. I'd just love if they could bring the playstyle that I've been used to sense the launch of the game back. The problem with controller is that there is a skillcap, compared to kbm where you can virtually get infinitely better with time. Thanks for giving me the idea to buy a pc I guess... also couldn't you just say "buy a pc" to any console player who has a problem? So like that isn't a well thought out argument to be completely honest.

  • Give M60 an identity so it’s not trapped in Lewis’ shadow (either reduce its damage and ADS recoil to turn it into a long range harassing machine gun for nests and long sightlines or increase its fire rate and reduce its hipfire choke dramatically to make it heavies “smg”)
  • let MGL grenades bounce on surfaces as usual, but allow it to detonate on direct impact, giving it some skill expression and the ability to be used within 10 meters where bouncing grenades will get you killed
  • give flamer its OB range back and a little more damage. It’s been four months, I think we can stop pretending it was busted past flashbanging people. 80 DPS at 7 meters is nothing short of pathetic.
  • KS23 is so close to being good but barely falls short. Give it 5 more damage a shot to match the Model 18’s ability to two shot mediums, and a slightly faster reload speed. Also just make it a hitscan shot, projectiles are janky at best, and the bullets getting eaten by APS is silly.
  • give heavy a slight move speed boost while holding sledge so he’s not kited by literally everyone.
  • revert something for C4. all of its old nerfs plus the most recent loss of a charge means it’s just a worse breach charge.

TL;DR, a lot, but first and foremost, give M60 an identity. Also revert the Lewis recoil change, it never needed it.

I'd say its even more than that. It combines fast paced action, cool movement and tactics to create a really cool blend of everything i love about this game. One minute you're chasing someone with 10k, and before you know it, you're the one getting chased by half of the other players. Additionally, sticking together can be good sometimes, but not always, which leads to interesting dynamics. Also, since team fights and long range engagements are less important, there is more room for the light class to breathe and come into its own.

I believe that instead of having to have the cashout last to get any money is a bad system, I believe there should be like 8 ticks on the cashout (one every 16.25 seconds of the 130 on a cashout) and say for example if you're putting in the virst vault worth 10k, each one of those eight ticks will give you $1,250, possibly with a bonus x2 amount of cash like $2,500 for having it last, that way it gives more of a reason to defend the cash out instead of trying to go third party come back, and maybe or maybe not get lucky and get the cash out back, basically will prevent people from getting all the cash just for third partying or getting lucky.

Please change how the SR-84 plays in Power Shift.
Since the platform is in the open almost the entire time, it's impossible to disengage a sniper while trying to progress on the objective. There's no real counter to getting sniped from outside every other weapons effective range. The two options you have are: 1. hunt down the player sniping at you, which proves difficult with the Light's movement abilities (given they don't spot/kill you beforehand) or 2. play sniper yourself.
With the Glitch Grenade now changed to explode on impact with and disable shields (I think this is a good change), you can't block their shots either if they lob it at the platform.
And perhaps most importantly: getting peppered for 115 from somewhere you might not even initially see just isn't fun.
Maybe introduce some mild fog in Power Shift? Or just disable the gun for this game mode?
I'm really loving it otherwise! namaheart

Getting one new permanent gamemode after a season of waiting and then immediately taking one out seems like a massive misstep.
Bank it is great fun for when you just want to train aim or learn maps or even just goofing off in a casual game. Having every gamemode besides power shift be "ranked tournament but slightly easier" is boring and restrictive. If we wanted to play cashout we would just play ranked or unranked tournament but we play bank it just for casual fun.

Im not so fussed about the snipers cos I just run rooftops & hunt em down, not to mention it being a team balance issue. Its all about the team choosing the right classes that help the team, but the 1 problem I do have with snipers are the SPAWN CAMPER snipers who just stay up at spawn taking pot shots. Its a tricky ask to get all the way to the enemy spawn point to take em out since u have to deal with enemy players coming out of spawn as u traverse to there as well as the new spawns spawning in just to get to a sniper who never leaves the spawn point!!!...I think the devs should make a no fire zone in the spawn area so u have to actually leave the spawn area for weapons to work....no more spawn camping for snipers!

Matchmaking spread in ranked is way too wide. You shouldn't be seeing diamond/platinum 1 players when you're on Gold 4 or even Silver 1. You've essentially made the same ranking system as Season 1, with an advantage to high tier premades facing more random/worse teams, and random teams facing more premades without the ability to get a good game against weaker skilled opponents or other full random teams.

Wooowww, now I'm back to square one with none of my friends that I know on pc and I get that there is an app that you can get to transfer your friends to pc and also talk to them but even then you would need to get the pc version of the subscription that would otherwise do the exact same thing as if you were on console, more than 80% of your games don't transfer believe it or not, I've tried it before, and as I said before(and this goes for laptops too) I can sell my console if I wanted to(but even still, I dont) but if I ever do: I would still need to cough up another $100-200 just to use the pc for literally exactly what I use the console for.

Also the console UI is still just better you can't convince me otherwise.

The nuke was indeed too powerful in the test version and the first season, especially due to its low production cost and high damage. But as a game feature, nukes should be left in the game in a more balanced way, rather than simply removed. You can make nukes harder to use while reducing its frequency and reducing its damage.

(So the gas cloud/fire on the ground)

Long time Season 0 Apex player here who started on The Finals the first day of its release. I instantly feel in love with the game from the great gunplay to the destructible maps. I now play it daily. I mainly play Bank It and Unranked Tournaments. Both modes that you are now removing. Now I will scramble to play other modes that I do not like and it will ruin the Finals experience for me. It makes no sense to remove these modes. You can easily keep them for the players that do enjoy them. Please do not become like Apex and make stupid unnecessary changes to the game that ruin the experience for the true players. Just so you can cater to pros and streamers. Im very saddened right now by whoever's decision it was to do this. I was and have been an advocate for people to try The Finals and give it a chance. Ive gotten many gamer friends to play it that may not have tried it on their own. Sincerly now Frustrated Finals Player.

The playerbase doesn't exist for anymore game modes. It would if they didn't butcher ranked from the get like that wasn't going to be the biggest draw to the game. That coupled with the overall solo Q... This game is destined for 10k players or less by the end of this season, and nothing they're gonna do is gonna change it unless they fully take responsibility and figure out how to make ranked an actual fun, rewarding experience. But so far they have quite literally done the exact opposite of what makes any sense.

Randomly during matches, the gun just won’t fire. I’ll press the reload button and the animation plays but doesn’t fix it. Only way to fix it is to equip and then dequip it. I also can’t drop stuff anymore and it’s not just me having the latter problem.

Not a major criticism but I hope embark moves away from ai voices for Scotty and June. I know in lore it’s possible they might be ai but if it not then I honestly don’t see the point as they obviously have money to just hire whatever voice actors they want to be Scotty or June or any other potential characters. Give the CL-40, MGL32, and Flamethrower a secondary mode that isn't useless aim. Some ideas could be the following;

CL-40: Pressing and holding the aim button allows you to adjust the current velocity, so grenades can shoot out faster or slower depending on what you want to set it to.

Flamethrower: Pressing the aim button can toggle the flamethrower to consume more ammo per shot with primary attack, however the flames could persist for a short while like a Pyro grenade.

MGL32: Allow the secondary mode to detonate any projectiles as long as they have bounced off a surface.

Sledgehammer should be allowed to smash multiple walls in one swing. Right now the openings make no sense. I tried hitting the floor under me and it decided to hit yellow wall in front of me and do nothing.

Apparently this issue exists for Demat. Just make destruction make more sense in general lol.

Please help the SEA server or Asia server, I don't know, all I know is I play from Thailand. The point is, every time I play rank match, in present, I always play against aimbot at least one player in the game, and they always have Chinese name on them. Their score would be like 10+ Kills and 10k Dmg as always.
The most surprising case is yesterday, I won 1st round of the match, in the 2nd round, other 3 teams got at least 1 aimbot in their team using H character and holding Lewis in their hand, it was a disaster for this game to playing in a match like this.

Embark, I beg you do something with these hackers, they are ruining your game. Other Asia player love your game but got ruined by cheater.

The nuke was indeed too powerful in the test version and the first season, especially due to its low production cost and high damage. But as a game feature, nukes should be left in the game in a more balanced way, rather than simply removed. You can increase the cost of the bomb while reducing its damage.

When inviting someone from your friends list, it should tell you they have a party, and let them know you have a party as well if you have a friend already in the group. -Maybe an option to merge parties? Right now nobody knows if the other side has companions with them or if they're alone which turns into a weird back and forth with both parties denying invites because they've got friends from their friends lists.

The spawns still feel horrible and are resulting in a lot of forced 3rd party scenarios where one team is left defending against 2 attacking teams and the 4th team gets a free cash out. Then if you lose that defense there’s a good chance it spawns you nowhere near an active cash out. It’s promoting a 3rd party rewarding play style. There’s been some good changes this season, removing recon, buffing light glitch, nerfing heavy sa12 and nukes are all great. But the heavies lewis didn’t need a nerf but got one and the fcar somehow didn’t?? the heavy class in general is in a bit of a rough spot rn. the rest of the new guns for all the classes are also underwhelming. it’s getting stale for a lot of people running the same thing. it’s been a cool season so far but it’s honestly a 50/50 on changes that have been for the better and ones that have been for the worse

I don't know if its a bug or intentional but whenever I place a C4 near a green barrel and blow the C4 it does'nt cause the green barrel to explode. It does do it with the Red and Fire barrels. I like the fact that the nukes are gone but the C4 felt pretty useless after it so what I did was during a cashouts I placed a C4 on the Cashout and placed fire barells and red barrels near it soo when an enemy tried to steal it I just blew it and it was a kill but it does'nt seem to work with the green barrels. Just wanted to give a feedback on that. Please don't nerf that I think its a pretty good use for the C4 and apart from that I don't really see much use of the C4 plus people do use triple turrets on triple Mediums teams and keep both gas and explosive mines in their load out(On one medium that is) which is also very hectic to deal with when going to steal a Cashout. I hope if its a bug where the green barrel does'nt explode when you blow a C4 near it is fixed in the future patches.

Breach charges do more damage than C4 and there's next to no uses for C4 now besides a cash out trap which is the same thing breach charges are used for, and at least if C4 damage was a little more, nukes could sort of be a thing again but they would be far more balanced, because as of right now they aren't viable. I know nukes were lame AF, but with the changes to C4 now, they would actually be balanced except they don't do any damage anymore.

The game is great, I love every aspect of it and how well balanced it feels so far. It is honestly my main game right now and I want to continue playing it but with the current condition of the game with this new update I cannot stand it.

  • Crashing bugs/Anti-Virus Bug
    Lately as it has been happening to me and other people replying on steam and other Reddit threads, there is a current bug either with the anti cheat or game where you will be kicked and your game will close over a "System Integrity Fail". I do not use any cheats or software to gain an advantage in this game and had no problems during all of season one with this. This is also coupled with the fact that after repairing said glitch (reinstalling eac), I now will get a bug where my game will randomly crash and my pc will turn off. I know it isn't a problem with my pc as I can play any other game for long periods of time without this happening.

  • Spawns and 3rd partying
    The current ranked mode feels extremely unfair to anyone who is quick to the vault and getting it to the cashout. This is supposed to be an advantage but as the matches currently play out is that you'll get third partied if you clean the first team without another intervening. As well as spawns after dying or being team wiped is completely horrid. There is no reasonable explanation as to why I spawn over 200m from a cashout near end game, this is supposed to be fight to see which team can pvp the best but I don't understand how I am supposed to even get to the pvp if half my match is spent running and dashing. I'm not saying we need to spawn right next to the cashout, but at least change up some of the spawns.

That really is all this game needs to fix aside from a few gadget and maybe weapon tweaks, I love this game but what is happening right now is utter shit.

Legit. Decided to check the new season of The Finals whilst Fortnite is down.

Fresh match 1min + to join. The game has less time left than the animation sequence. 15seconds or so. Took a photo, the team not a single point for elimination, assist, damage or revive.

Ranking System

I am Plat 3 right now and to be honest I liked more the previous ranked system where you couldn't be demoted (for example, from gold to silver). To be honest, I never liked the ranked systems like in CS or other similar games.

I can understand why you have implemented this... Probably to prevent people to trolling more when they reach their rank goal. But well, there are still people leaving the matches when they know they are not going to get through the first round. They are still abusing of the glitch. There are still hackers getting through the rounds. It's not easy to perform well against them. And if you're in limbo between one rank and another, you will probably lose. And this is not our fault.

Wanna know how we managed to get through to the finals with a hacker? We basically opened every single vault and we put both on the same cashout so they could win every single one. We didn't fight them because we knew we would lose. We had to play smart in order to get through, and we went through with only the money from opening the vaults. One guy in 2 rounds with more than 60 kills... Probably he has a great gaming chair...

Yesterday the servers went down. Me and 2 other friends were playing ranked and one disconnected because of the servers and couldn't reconnect. Conclusion: lost rank...

For me: I would go back to the rank system where you can't be demoted. A lot of games are like this. If you want to prevent some other problems, it's fair and I understand and let's find a solution to it.

This is all demoralising and frustrating imo.

Adding a moderator to reports in-game is useless, the anti-cheat is ineffective. You need to have someone who manually moderates the players. There are people I encounter who have been cheating since the beginning of Season 1 and haven't been banned.

Summary: Adding one moderator and the game will be able to breathe

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
  • Add a charge like attack, to activate it press the attack button while blocking kinda like charge N slam, of course less powerful and without the destruction effect, it would add variety, also all the other melee weapons have two attacks)
  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

  • This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

  • Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them.
  • Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I want to see more wild balance patches for this game. I respect how careful they try to be when it comes to weapon balancing, but I want to see some weapons and gadgets get absolutely gutted while some of the most obscure ones get buffed. Give grapple 2 charges, take away the FCAR's optic and slap one on the FAMAS or AK, make the RPG a primary weapon, or increase movement speed when using charge and slam.
Just please do more risky balance changes. We get weekly updates anyways so if people don't like it, next week you guys can revert the changes

I have been struggling with the med beam not working in some matches, where it will act like its about to heal but will only glow blue and wont actually heal my teammates. if there is anyway to fix this, especially since support is like 60% of my playstyle in ranked and other matches, that would be great. thank you kindly!

Just for some extra context: before they removed it, the aim assist did not transfer over to kbm, it was removed because some controller players thought it was unfair to play against people without a skillcap forcefully, even if the console players turned off cross-platform play they still would have been matched up with kbm players(the console kbm players instead of the pc kbm players). So in conclusion we as the people who want kbm back also do not want the aa, the aa never even existed if you were playing on kbm(not on xim) and they should add ibmm so it would be fair for both playstyles.

I really wish this project success, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to play. In 10 games I met 13 cheaters.

Suggestion:
The higher you fall down with the smash ability from Heavys, the more damage and destruction you make!
That means if you jump down from a crane, you make more damage instead of when you smash from the first floor of a house onto someone.

I agree with this. The aim assist can be a bit silly and should be improved or opt-in. The attack hitboxes are quite peculiar, for example missing lights on some occasions because they are too low (i would prefer not having to look at the floor). The only additional changes i would suggest is to fix the bugs (like throwing knives sticking on screen, and the pyro grenade) and perhaps reducing the movement speed slowdown (for successful attacks?).

I'd love to see some type of roadmap from Embark, a bit of transparency to some of the projects or things they're already working on.

As for quality of life:

  • Slightly more crosshair customizations.. I'd love to run just the dot.
  • Opacity on things like objectives and/or dead teammates / HP Bars. as of right now I often find myself not being able to spot who is on the 5v5 point because revival icons are blocking vision

Demat needs QoL, its a fun and interesting tool but also very frustrating to use, lots of walls are doubled up so you cant go through them properly, sometimes theres pipes or random stuff in the way, the shapes it chooses to hack are random and sometimes very frustrating, it needs some kind of aoe that clears out a few sections around where you choose

Outside of that the 3 charges is kinda weird, i can hack and undo 1 wall and then only hack 1 more, id rather only have 2 charges but make it so undoing a hack doesnt cost a charge, therefore you can technically hack 1 less wall but you can seal them both up behind you easier

3rd but smaller complaint is just how clunky it can be sometimes, idk if theres like a delay or something but sometimes i wanna just slip through a wall real fast and seal it behind me but it isnt so clean to do, feels a little clunky when trying to be fast with it

One of the most beautiful parts of this game is the range of different play styles and creative ways to play. I believe Embark has done an incredible job on this aspect of the game. However, with season two and beyond I’d love to see more of these play styles become more viable in ranked and competitive play. I believe this is much more important than even adding more weapons especially seeing all the new weapons essentially were thrown to the side and the “meta” still held strong. This one change will turn this game from a great game into one of the greatest ever.

I had suspicions that the're will be cheaters when I realized that they use EasyAntiCheats. You can see it in apex legends. Maybe use better anti cheats like how faceit and valorant does.

Except Star Citizen is a bottomless pit and their transparency is almost what kills their momentum, Other than satisfy their whales.. More thinking of what Blizzard is doing to rekindle with their ex-players or current players.. Invest and transparent about the direction they want to head in and address points of the community. The damage nerf should be reverted too in my opinion and having nukes as a Cashout trap seems ok because you just don't get killed surprisingly out of no where like before where you just threw the canister and blowing the C4 even if you had one C4 caused some damage and the barrel exploding with the gas or fire in did the rest of it. With these Cashout trap atleast the enemy knows what they're walking into rather than just being killed out of nowhere.

I think some kind of "kill cam" or post match replay system would be useful for identifying cheaters and good players, there are some times when i'm killed and idk if that player was cheating or just a good player, but its usually when i die 10 seconds after spawning to an across the map sniper

not much still aimbots every other match. I have a video of the guy, but there are so many aimbots right now. Basically, after a security patch, it takes about 2 days for them to come back. The worst part is the demotion; they intentionally rank down after ranking up just to use aimbots against lower ranks and get back to gold. Why bother ranking up when you can wreck noobs, right?

Remove that players can choose in which server they want to play. 80% cheaters in the game are chinese. Please go play in asia server only once then you will see. Let the chinese cheater play against each other. The chinese have no reason to play in europe server but because they have in asien server so much cheater competitor thats why they come to europe server because they know there are not much cheaters so they can win easily. @pearl kiln

Day 16 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
  • bullets do high damage to structures, allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Joining Games in-progress could be better. I've been autofilled into PowerShift games that were essentially done, and people have been autofilled into games that I was in that were essentially done. On the flip side, I just got out of a PowerShift game that was 4v5 almost the entire match. Just a QOL idea.

Idea: Allow VR points to multiply the XP of a weapon, gadget, or specialization during a given time.

Example: 3000 VR points spent for the FCAR will multiply XP by 2 for a duration of 1 hour (time spent in-game, excluding time spent during death, in the main menu, etc).

This would add additional functionality regarding VR points, in addition to 'rerolling contracts'.

This game is completely ruined by now. Everything got nerfed except lights. now every match is 80% lights. they have best dps best mobility never gets nerfed why would anyone play anything but light. they can stun you from 1km away and good luck hitting them as you have 0 accuracy

I don't think any guns can hit multiple people at once? Fcar shits out damage at every range for its only drawback being 20 bullets. 20 bullets with a faster reload and you only need 12 of those 20 to completely murk a medium. It is a direct upgrade to the ak in almost every way

So here's my feedback, as someone with 300 hours playtime

Since the day the game came out people have complained about lights and how easily their guns melt a heavy.
Now i don't personally main heavy i main medium...

But the fact that a light can one mag a heavy with being able to miss multiple bullets is disgusting.

And mediums? Well good luck vs the mp5 cause you aint winning!

Overall i've played roughly 20 hours of light the past week reaching well over a 2kd with it each game some times dropping 25/30+ kills
and i'm man enough to admit i suck!!!!

It needs some serious rebalancing here i added a photo of my last game, now trust me when i say i have an entire folder on my pc of pictures such as this one, where literally the entire lobby is playing as light with the execption of me. (not able to attach picture for some reason, assuming it's a server rule but feel free to contact me for proof)

If this picture doesn't speak for itself proving that you're at a massive disadvantage not playing light then i don't know what will

I love this game and the devs really have done an absolutely smashing job on the game but us ''casuals'' cannot enjoy it when we are forced to play light because playing as any other build gets us torn apart.

Please devs look into this, check it yourself, play the game and see with your own eyes... I don't want this game to get ruined because new players leave after getting shafted for an hour by all light lobbies then quit the game.

Stun gun is possibly the worst idea I've ever seen implemented in a game.
Giving it to the class that has the highest DPS, taking away the ability to move, and aim, makes it so OP its insane.

We need to stop basing feedback on quick cash. Most of the people who keep saying that Light is op never tried to climb with the class. The people who do climb with it normally say it's either in a good spot after all the buffs and nerfs to other classes or it might need another buff or two. Never "too strong"

  • Give M60 an identity so it’s not trapped in Lewis’ shadow (either reduce its damage and ADS recoil to turn it into a long range harassing machine gun for nests and long sightlines or increase its fire rate and reduce its hipfire choke dramatically to make it heavies “smg”)
  • let MGL grenades bounce on surfaces as usual, but allow it to detonate on direct impact, giving it some skill expression and the ability to be used within 10 meters where bouncing grenades will get you killed
  • give flamer its OB range back and a little more damage. It’s been four months, I think we can stop pretending it was busted past flashbanging people. 80 DPS at 7 meters is nothing short of pathetic.
  • KS23 is so close to being good but barely falls short. Give it 5 more damage a shot to match the Model 18’s ability to two shot mediums, and a slightly faster reload speed. Also just make it a hitscan shot, projectiles are janky at best, and the bullets getting eaten by APS is silly.
  • give heavy a slight move speed boost while holding sledge so he’s not kited by literally everyone.
  • revert something for C4. all of its old nerfs plus the most recent loss of a charge means it’s just a worse breach charge.

Without explanation or indication, many movement options add bullet spread to all non-shotguns when firing while ADS. The fixed recoil remains the same but your bullets land in a large radius around your sight instead of on it.

Here is a nonexhaustive list of reasons why this creates more frustration than people realize:

  • The game tutorial, the genre, and the UI differences between hip-firing and ADS suggest that the difference between the two is the removal of spread.

  • There is no logical consistency with what this affects. Vaulting over things on level ground but not vaulting onto a new floor, falling off of ziplines but not riding them, evasive dashes when done while aiming for headshots but not when done perfectly horizontal, etc.

  • It happens randomly since it affects all airborne states, such as walking over small objects like statues and over debris.

  • The destruction, emphasis on movement options, fixed recoil, and limited lives suggest the game is designed to reward skillful movement and aim but this negates that randomly.

  • Some options become worse than their logically inferior alternatives. Ambushing through sliding or jumping becomes worse than running or ziplining. Without explanation, this creates uninformed decisions.

  • It disproportionately affects the classes. Missing with the LH1, SH, and VS is much worse than missing with the Lewis Gun or AKM but you're more likely to have this random aim penalty as a light.

  • Fights can be won or lost due to an unexplained element of luck leading to players being confused and frustrated with themselves over losses which aren't their fault.

Possible solutions include removal of the penalty, preventing ADS after being in the air for a specific period of time and sliding, and replacing fixed recoil with random recoil only during certain movements.

Haha nukes are gone the best change embark ever made. Nah i started playing heavy in s2 and 1 c4 on cashout or in general is enough to explode alot of stuff. Heavy feels way more tactical now and takes alot more skill now. Rpg and mesh shield both way too op still but besides that dome is balanced, lewis is balanced, shotgun is balanced and c4 too. Yh maybe they could buff the damage from c4 to buildings
