RX 590 GME, crashes started right after the Season 8 update. First launch worked ~20 mins, then UE5 error, now it just crashes on boot with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Tried DDU + clean AMD driver, reinstalled Visual C++ runtimes, deleted configs, disabled overlays, forced FSR instead of XeSS, verified files, added game + Denuvo anti-cheat to AV exceptions. Nothing helps.

Looks like DX12 + Polaris cards + Denuvo is broken since S8. Anyone else on RX 580/590 seeing the same?

Running the game on DX12 is nearly impossible as the game crashes after a few minutes and then creates a dump file. DX11 works but the performance is beyond undesirable. Is there a solution for this?

Only thing I can think of that could be ''triggering'' is the Elgato Stream Deck app that I use for media control. Is there anyone with a Stream Deck that have the same issue?

@lilac flame I also got system integrity violation but I don't have elgato stream deck app installed. I'm having difficulties figuring out the cause as mine also occurs randomly. I noticed that it frequently occurs when I have DSR - DL factors enabled in Nvidia app global settings and using a higher resolution than my native resolution in The Finals. If disabled and only have DSR - Legacy factors enabled, the system integrity violation occurs occasionally after a few hours of game play.
I think the anticheat has become oversensitive since this only happened to me at end of S7 and S8.

This was my first system integrity violation so I think you're right with the anticheat sensitivity because I have had no problems until today. I also use DSR but for my secondary monitor so I'm not sure if that's the issue. I closed the app and launched The Finals again and steam started validating, and for the moment it seems ok now, although I can't use my stream deck.

you can try and see if there are any recent changes in your settings or programs which may influence on The Finals. I tried uninstalling an application, rolling back Nvidia driver, update bios and still no fix. I believe that it's something on their anti-cheat software that's causing a false positive, like why would I encounter system integrity violation at 'random' times rather than a specific time. Maybe there's some kind of conflict between Nvidia gpu driver/settings/software and anti-cheat. Now I stopped trying to fix it on my end as its time consuming and there isn't an easy way to identify what's causing it

Hey there, we are running into a bug in ranked where the progression from 2nd to final round is not moving and we are all stuck in the screen. I have rebooted my game and it shows that it's trying to reconnect but timer isn't moving. RS has not changed so I don't think the match is in progress. My teammates are still stuck in the screen.

Update: After about 10 minutes and our team restarting game (but not disconnecting from server), we have now moved to "We are waiting for other contestants to connect"

There's a bug when editing your controller buttons (PS5).

You used to be able to use 1 button for 2 purposes, TAP & HOLD.
E.g, I TAP up on the crosspad to Ping. I also HOLD up on crosspad to show Communications Wheel.

Now, one replaces the other so I have to leave the Comms Wheel out.
I want to complete the trophy challenges, 'Emote after a kill'.
Now it's impossible as there are no free buttons left to assign the Comms/Emote Wheel.

A teammate had really bad stutter/lag & slow game joining. We tried everything to fix it (chipset drivers, gpu drivers, clearing shader cache, bios, network, etc).

It turns out he had the game on a hard drive. He moved it to his ssd and it solved all of his lag and stutter.

It is an obvious solution that should have occurred to us earlier, but sometimes it helps to go over the basics before more nuanced troubleshooting.

Hey, all my friends are having random stuttering. Turning on v-sync helped, disabling frame generation, and turning off instant replay seemed to help, but it still an issue. They all have better pcs than me, and I do not have this issue. After experimenting, it is none of the video "quality" settings, it seems to be a tied into video "display". We did a bunch of experimenting and to narrow it down to the settings above. Messing with any of the quality settings did not help, even with all of them turned low, and the detailed In-Game Performance overlay agrees with this (good numbers were shown on their end). They both have significantly better monitors than me too btw, but it was never an issue before this update. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. It's on solid state

I just had an audio bug where 90% of the game sounds were missing in my ranked tournament. All I heard were gunshots, hitmarkers, and explosions. I couldnt hear footsteps, ambience, or any cashout noises (including cashout alarm). During the game I reset my audio settings and would turn master to 0% and back to 100% but still nothing. switched audio outputs and didnt change. totally screwed my ranked game. It also happened after I previously played a head 2 head but that game everything worked perfectly fine.

My best suggestion is download Nvidia 577 patch. If using a controller, make sure to move around the joystick when its loading with the music so it will register/recognize your controller. Or else you'll need to reset your game again.

And run steam as administrator if on PC. Console using mouse and keyboard, they didn't test it enough so they will need to patch it and fix the server crashing exploit which allows hackers/cheaters to crash servers and get you booted.

I think its because the level that bakkes operates. Things like EAC are going to flag these if no explicit rules are set, I think as long as you are following the games code of conduct you'll be fine and if its a false anti cheat flag you can fight it. Guys I know this isn't a bug, or atleast I hope its not, but I have been having ABYSMAL performance this season. ever since the update the game would experience the worst lag I have ever had. All the error icons pop up, characters walk and run in place, I can't move or do anything for a solid 15 seconds at a time.

Teammates are experiencing the same thing aswell, just at different times.

Hi. I wanted to address a problem that isn’t really important for embark I suppose as of because it concern the PS4 player community, but I still wanted to address it. It’s pretty easy, from the moment there’s a scene in the game where there’s a lot of things happening at the same time, the game will freeze for around 5 seconds before crashing. Hi everyone,
Before the latest update of The Finals I was getting more than 120 FPS on the same settings.
After updating, the game is now locked at 60 FPS and never goes above that, no matter what settings I change.
I’ve already tried:
Turning V-Sync off
Making sure frame limit is set to unlimited
Checking my monitor refresh rate
Adjusting settings in the GPU control panel
Switching between fullscreen, borderless, and windowed
None of these solved the issue. It only started happening after the most recent update.
Has anyone else faced this problem or found a fix?

Autohotkey is bundled with a lot of other software that is why it is detected. For example if you have librewolf installed and have its updater installed then you have autohotkey and will be detected. Close all programs in task manager before opening the game and it will work. Then open one at a time and see which one contains autohotkey. @turbid kite just the updater for libre contains it not the browser itself from what i know. Might be a separate process/service you need to kill. @turbid kite you are welcome, have fun.

Yes.... Its been happening since s4-s5. I play on console and pc and it happens regardless with controller(I've tried both dual sense and xbox controller). Major CPU hitching on ordinary things like opening a radial menu, a small explosion, a gunshot. Major demolition isn't causing any unusual slowdown but every fight involves several .2 to .8s freezes that make combat almost impossible

The only think I can say for people experiencing performance issues is to update your graphics drivers, and update your chipset drivers. I did that on my old rig and saw a jump in performance from 55-60 frames to 60-80 frames. Now I get 110+ on my new rig so I have to assume some of the people in here having sudden performance issues need to update drivers.

Also close out of all your other applications. If your game is already down at 60fps on low you should not have any other application open.

I would like to report a bug.
During any game mode when you die, and are able to change either character / weapon, I am only able to change once then I am no longer able to do anything else beside type in the chat. Basically I am stuck in the screen I can not change weapons or respawn.

I think it would depend. If they are in a locked region there should be a way to prevent you from starting a queue with them. The only reason I could think of as to why you would have the issue would be that the region is too far away for your internet to settle a proper connection.

1. Try running nvidia low latency
2. Update graphics drivers

• Go to your nvidia app if you are on nvidia
• Go to update drivers section
• When prompted to install click on advanced options
• Select the option that says "Perform a clean install" while ensuring all the other install options are still selected above

3. Clear shader cache by deleting the file from your finals directory (google: how to clear shader cache for the finals)
4. Determine your cpu type and look for how to update your chipset drivers and updaet those.

Following those steps should resolve the majority of your issues

I'm having trouble getting the game to redo the full shader precompilation step, after one of the recent updates I've been getting shader compile hitches semi frequently (the little monitor error icon.) I've deleted the NVIDIA GLCACHE and DXCACHE folders, disabled shader cache in NVCP and rebooted then turned it back on, and deleted the USHADERPRECACHE and UPIPELINEPRECACHE files in %localappdata%\Discovery\Saved. Was the location moved at some point recently? Can't find a good answer on google

The "Looking Glass" optic has a color inconsistency when using the new custom reticle color feature.
The chevron in the middle will display the custom color as normal, but the spokes on the sides of the chevron remain green (the original color of the optic) regardless of your set color.

if you get an error like 403 on id.emabark games website, and login failed due to a service iterruption on game/steam - try reseting your router or switching it off for 15min (this will help if your IP is dynamic), if your game crashes only on steam but you can access the website - there is some software running in the background, so i bet resintalling the game will help

-Settings are all on medium
-GPU & CPU utilization are fine/not pegged using steam overlay

-We tried buffer bloat test, got an "A" rating
-Speedtest was fine with low ping and over 250 mbps
-They are on a hard line, not wireless
-We have cleared shader cache and deleted/re-generated game settings files
-We moved game to ssd and cleared up space on ssd
-We updated gpu drivers and chipset drivers
-We are going to update the bios tomorrow and update network card drivers too. Might update firmware on router/modem too.

I've been having an issue since S6 where when I load into a match, it'll be choppy. Dropping to 7fps, poor visuals, the works. I was queueing power shift and I got put into Citadel. I was like "But this game mode doesn't have that map?". There was no plat but everything functioned like tdm, except there was no score for kills and the scores stayed 0/0. I left and every single time i tried to reque power shift it puts me back in this empty citazdel lobby. I have been stuck here unable to leave for quite a while and the overtime was infinite for a while. I cant escape it and restarting my game did not fix. I have a screenshot but i think i cant add it because im a new account to this server or smth.

Not sure if anyone else has had this happen but ive had a reoccurring glitch happen every now and then when im playing WT or Ranked. Within the first couple seconds of dying, if i were to get rezzed via defib the screen which displays my/my opponents dmg still stays on screen even after the defib. It isnt anything major but it is very annoying to have such a big section of the screen obstructed by a big red block. The only fix ive noticed is just dying and getting revived again, but this only happens when the defib is just quick enough after death. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but I would love for this to get addressed at some point in time

I queud into this map and was confused as eff... Match didn't end after timer ran out. We played it out until the enemy team had 1 person left and a my team had myself and 1 other guy. Uhh, so I got kicked from a server.
Was messing around in practice mode with the goo canisters, had some goo set on fire, may have been about to disappear, and I tossed another canister at the flaming goo. Canister exploded, and almost immediately after crashed.

Okay, so I’ve come across a much larger issue.
After rejoining, my game crashed shortly after, black screened, I believe caused a driver timeout, cut signal to the monitor I run off of my dedicated GPU.
Cutting power fixed the signal part, however it is still not being recognized as a GPU anymore.

According to the devs, the Bf6 beta was played by a large percentage of people on hardware below the minimum recommended specs and it shows that not everyone can afford a space ship to play games on. I think if there was more focus on optimization and keeping the game running fast and smooth, this game would definitely gain players. The harder it is to run this game, the less people can play it or will want to play it due to low framerates or other related issues. On top of that, I wouldn't doubt that there are people who used to play this game who no longer do, because the game outran their hardware and they aren't able to run it as well as they want.

hey i got a werid bug were mid game i got "disconnected" which made my screen go black with a reconnecting message at the bottom of my screen, so then i alt+f4 and reopened the game. There's a minor bug it seems with not logging in for a while. I don't know exactly how to reproduce it, but I haven't played the game in two seasons and when I came back, all of my charms were invisible. After detaching and equiping them again, it appeared.

The charm in question was the circuit board charm from season 2.

There's also a minor bug where sometimes battle pass contestants are not loaded over their custom poses. If you switch through the pass very quickly, sometimes for example, you can see your contestant in Anubis's pose and nothe Anubis contestant as it should be.
