If it does not complain when you have it closed then probably the stats tracker you are using is not allowed. Nobody can help you if this is the case, you just have to stop using it.

PC does not allow controller aim assist, sorry to say. as far as I'm aware, this is a common practice in cross platform games to prevent Ximming, which is a cheating method that involves gaining the benifits of controller aim assist while using mouse and keyboard

Do you use DS4 Windows? If so, try without it. Had a friend experience the same issue. Closing DS4 and using Steam native controller support allowed aim assist. I believe DS4 is not allowed due to what was mentioned above.

Steam does this thing where It lets me open the game, and then in the middle of playing, the game will freeze and crash. I go to the steam page to find out that for some reason it is in the middle of updating! I just crashed out of a world tour match because it finished downloading... SOMETHING, then I missed the rest of the game because after it was finished downloading a random 400MB, it downloaded another 700MB.

It’s a setting of your XBox profile. Go to your "Profile Settings" then "Privacy & Safety" and look for "You can see and upload community creations". Make sure Blocked is not selected for this option. You might want to read and configure other settings there if you have platform specific issues. You could have googled this yourself.

Hoping someone can help me with a couple issues I am experiencing on a new PC build.

I have auto sprint enabled, auto sprint trigger delay is set to 0. I don't have anything bound to sprint (hold) or sprint (toggle), they are both blank, so I should just always be running. This is how I had it set up on my previous PC and it was never an issue. For some reason my character keeps walking during the game now. I'll res someone, and afterwards my character will start walking for no reason, or I'll hit a jump pad and land, and then my character starts walking. Fresh respawn, my teammates run by me while I'm walking slow as hell. There is nothing I can be pushing to make this happen since both of those options are unbound.

The other thing that is happening that I'm finding weird is my slides are super dragged out. Like, I start sliding. and it slides for far longer than it used to. Both of these movement issues started as soon as I started playing on this PC that I rebuilt yesterday. Really hard to play like this, it's seriously annoying me. Anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening? I don't know what else I could enable/disable/bind/unbind that would affect this?

could be thermals, bad drivers, bad install ..... my advice fresh install(different distro preferably) with latest drivers then try monitoring thermals and power draws when stuttering.
if anything matters the distro you are using is well known for being an entry level where u should expect that everything works but not at best performance.

Unreleated but I also had a ssd fail during the finals twice. Luckily I was in the process of making a whole new build. Upgraded to a 14900k from a 9900k and a 5070 ti from a 3060. New ssd too but had a memory failure shortly after my first day. Seems fine now. Just putting this here in case devs read these, i've been having weird instances happening last couple times I've opened the game. the "discorvery.exe" alert keeps popping up, that is a common factor. the first time i was using a Microsoft adaptability controller. i went to use it in the firing range and got kicked for "game altering devices" or something of that sort. i never plugged it in again. the second time, that happened just now, i was clicking on items in the shop and got kicked for a "disallowed tool".....I have absolutely zero game changing hardware or software on my pc that would put me at an advantage. no macros or micros either. the only thing i can think of is the fact my mouse has a double click issue. i'm now too afraid to get on the game at all again, i dont want to be banned for what ever issue is going on. ive been playing since the first alpha and have never experienced this until now.

I've played allot of shooters and none have felt as... inconsistent as the finals. it almost feels like my mouse movements and mouse clicks are polling at different rates so sometimes a flick reads as "move mouse then shoot" other times it reads "shoot then move mouse" .

maybe its the fact that allot of guns have long wait times before shots and the I'm just clicking early and feeling the input que. or maybe its just the fact that players looking locations seem so desynced and momentum feels strange in this game. My friend actually had this issue too. His cause was an auto clicker, so disable any software that may do stuff like that. (May include other software that mimics inputs or directly effects input devices) alternatively, if it's kicking you mid-match, it could be macros or that priority a/d key input feature. this is old but yes its a feature of the game. because things are server-side there can be input delay and its incredibly frustrating. especially if you play dash + a semi auto weapon. they have reduced the # of us servers so for example in my case when I used to connect locally to a west coast server it now connects to either middle america or virginia.

a big part of why people leave the game is because this makes it feel awful but they refuse to spend the $ to address it.

Accounts don't properly synchronize using the links. Playing the game on platform X and buying something on platform Y for the same account do not give the rewards even after restarting the game.

The game must be ran from the platforms where the rewards were given or DLC were purchased to be attributed to the account.

I'm getting REALLY tired of this error, its been happening since the update halfway through the seasonal event, I'm tempted to just uninstall the game and let it collect dust as this is the third or fourth time on a different season this issue keeps coming back for no reason at all, even swapping computer setups does nothing to fix this. on moving platforms there is a bug with the yellow walls on the sides where the cashout sits and the thermal bore. when shooting one of the side walls it used to be it took 2 shots, one on the left and right side of it to completely destroy it.

now there is a bug with the destruction where if you shoot say the right side of it, instead of deleting a whole square top to bottom it will remove the top of the right and bottom of the left in like an alpha map checkerboard pattern. so you get a checkerboard of transparent and yellow walls that hinders your ability to shoot through it

LOL. What makes you think they're toxic? Nowadays, when there are so many soft-hearted personalities who are upset by the fact that they did not want to play with them due to their low level of play, they spam with reports.(Trying to win with them is pointless, it's less than 1% success rate).

They do this even when they are on the opposing team, my friend showed a stream recording where a group of 3 players were on the opposing team and started reporting me for VERBAL ABUSE immediately after the team presentation screen. And these are not isolated cases, just as some deliberately leak and report on me or even throw garbage on the map, expecting that I will lose the meaning of winning and decide to passively end this game and move on so as not to spoil me immediately (GooGun, Barrels elements).

The whole problem is in the selection of players. If I or other players had the opportunity to add a player to the list prohibiting being in 1 team, I would do it in silence and never see them in my team again, just like they did me. I understand that this is going to take a long time to finish the match, but I'm ready to spend 30 to 60 minutes on it and not experience that range of negative emotions.

I can rely on the fact that the system reacts to a violation only after reaching a certain number of reports. Because otherwise it makes no sense due to the flood of reports from the players. Yes, there is artificial intelligence, etc. but so far this technology is very crude. And keeping a staff that will respond to every complaint is simply stupid from a budgetary point of view. Last night experienced a issue (first time loading up the game ever) after completing the tutorial I had a crash. Embark stress test tool appeared and stated crash could've been hardware instability. I ran the test and passed. Set up is 7800x3D and 4070ti playing in 4k. I chocked this up to my settings. I adjusted them before the tutorial and had no issues aside from a single frame drop going from 140fps to 6-7fps for about 5 seconds. After crash I did a Windows update as I noticed this when I restarted my PC. After which every time I attempt to launch the game it states there is too many instances so the application has closed. Game was only opened from steam once. I believe it's me launching the game then the crash reporter launching after but not sure. Would appreciate some thoughts and opinions as I would love to get more into the game once I get this sorted

Invisible targets do not show up at all if there is only skybox behind them(they only show if there's a solid object, like a building or the floor). This is the biggest issue, because it makes invis players completely and utterly invisible, no shimmer or anything, defeating the entire purpose of thermals.

Invisible targets sometimes do not show up even if there are objects behind them(see kyoto clip above)

If two invis lights are standing next to each other (overlapping), neither of them show up on thermals.

Often time, non-invis players do not get highlighted at all, despite there being no smoke, gas, or dust(ie, from destructible terrain) anywhere in sight, even at close range.

Sometimes, highlighted objects get "wavy" despite there being no distortion effects (such as looking through dematerializer)

Mines do not get highlighted, while barrels do. Mines should absolutely be highlighted, they are completely invisible while thermals are running.

In some cases, gas is completely invisible

The "glow" effect on highlighted enemies sometimes gets exaggerated, and ends up being blinding. Please consider removing the "glow", and just highlighting characters/objects in white, without a glow effect around their edges.

Grenade/ability throw indicators do not show while thermals are active.

Some areas on some maps glow extremely white while thermals are active, making it difficult to pick out targets when they are white on white.

Please.. please fix the thermals. They are incredibly important, but very unreliable due to the above bugs.

I'm running into that right now. At first when I tried to run the test it just froze at the end. I started skipping it and that would get me in eventually , but shortly after the game would allegedly try to open multiple instances after one click. After that I started getting a window about a report dump and had a similar issue with the hardware tester. But with that it would collect information, but not let you run the dump. Now it's not opening at all.

So far I updated every driver I could, the BIOs, uninstaled/reinstaled several apps including the game and Steam, but no luck.

Am I the only one still having the issue of walking on a jump pad you place at your feet while standing first instead of bouncing on it, you have to go back and go back on it a second time to bounce.

I forgot to uninstall the adm drivers/chipset for the cpu, because i moved everything over to an Intel system. After a few restarts and reinstalling the adrenaline software with the factory reset option selected, I'm able to load now. I'll let you know if I can actually get in to a match.

You can try deleting "Discovery" folder in "AppData/Local" in case your keybind config file is for some reason read only and it will be re-created on game launch, but you will lose all settings

Everytime I open the game it tells me I should run a hardware test, I was able to bypass it before and it would open the game. This time I decided to actually do it then it opened two instances of my game and then it showed me an anticheat screen and then shut down the game. It gave me a DMP file to send to someone and I'm afraid to open my game because my friend got falsely banned and lost his account due to this same issue, I'd like to send the DMP file and get confirmation to open the game before I try again. I don't wana lose all the time and money I have put into this game. I will say though I had just got a new graphics card and my game was crashing due to overclocking and testing my overclocks. I wasn't using a outside software like afterburner to overclock I was using the integrated clock settings that come with AMD's drivers.

For the multiple instances thing, check Task Manager as there might be something related to The Finals still running even if you close it, I know my game has a habit of not fully shutting down. As for the EAC issue, try closing unnecessary programs and then relaunch. While not common, some programs might trip EAC to block the launch of the game.

I have played several rounds of quick cash and have opened multiple cash boxes so far and I’ve only gotten 1/10 for the contract. Is there something I’m missing? We protect it together and don’t let anyone steal it, but it doesn’t count. The only time it did count towards the contract was when it was stolen from us and we lost it. Does anyone know how to fix audio issues. A while ago an update messed up my settings. I used to have game sound come from my speakers and voice chat in my headphones. Now when I have my speakers on the game doesnt detect my headphones at all and if I swap it so it all comes to my headphones. Then change it back to speakers. I have no game audio at all. Only voice chat. I just like having my audio and voice chat seperated

check in your motherboard bios that the GPU pcie is not set to auto , but to w.e. gen your Graphics card is, unsure if this will fix your issue but it fixed my issues. also dont use pcie risers, cheap ones will cause issues. have your card directly connected .

Your cpu has a known issue related to power. Update your bios before anything else or it will die. It is also the reason for a lot of crashes on intel 13th and 14th gen.

Fatal Error after Initialization of Shader Piplines, Weird because after clicking “ok”, the game is running the background. Is there a bug with CB-01 repeater's mastery points? In high k/d games like powershift and TDM, I'm rarely getting more than 600-800 XP despite 1) getting 10+ kills and/or assists and 2) not switching to another weapon at any point in the match. Other guns I'll usually get notably more, and gadgets generally get 1,000+. Is this a skill issue or am I missing something?

Matchmaking Inconsistency?
Has anyone else noticed this? As shown in my screenshots, I was matched with a Bronze player in one game, then had a balanced team the next. I used to have around 23K RS (Gold 3), and ranked matchmaking felt fair. But suddenly, while still Gold, I started getting matched with Silver 3 and even Bronze players, which quickly dropped me to Silver 3 or 4 in one day. Since then, every time I make progress, I get paired with inexperienced players and lose it again. I understand solo queue has risks, but the matchmaking logic seems off. Is something wrong, or am I missing something?

Matchmaking has been terrible for me. Consistantly, it is pairing me with people that are two to three ranks lower. For example, I havent played in a little while and was playing ranked. I was running my games to get out of silver and gold. Each game, one if not both teamates 2-3 ranks lower. Most of the time it was 2-4k lower mmr.

Is anyone else noticing questionable hit registration on the sledgehammer? There's a lot of times where im dead center on a light or heavy attack and it just doesnt register. In most cases, it will hit, but id say 5% of the time the hits just don't register. Im not sure if this is also an issue with other melee weapons or not.

These are probably low priority and they will get to them when they get to them. You need to reset the binds to defaults using the interface option to restore functionality from what I noticed because sometimes just redefining the key to the old bind does not work.

Could be that there is an error in the timezone conversion and it displays the end time in a different timezone than yours. You are not permanently banned. You would be told so by the message if that was the case.

i had it happen after an interaction with someone my squad thought started rage cheating against us, no idea if it is genuinely a gateway being used by cheaters to lock people out or if its embark fuckin up again. they are notoriously unresponsive to real player issues so we might never know.
