Audio seems to not work for players you aren't looking at (including trough walls), do note this bug isn't present for spectators (Game breaking bug since season 4)
No sprit bug (bug since beta)
No Shoot bug (bug since beta)
Super low server tickrate (feels like servers have gotten downgraded after season 1), Im basing this off 60 tickrate severs in csgo/cs2 cuz finals feels like 10 or 20 at most.
Glitch nades bounce off shield and bubbles (bug since this feature for the glitch was added)

Hello, still no patch planned or news regarding the appearance of the regular orange logo at the bottom right of the screen for server problems on the game? It's starting to take a long time, since chapter 4, the problem is a little less regular, I encounter it at all hours but more in the evening when there are more people on the game, maybe add more servers in Europe? Or simply an update of the game? And why doesn't Embark communicate on this and give no feedback ? I've been playing since season 1 and the problem has existed since season 4, if it's not fixed soon I'll have to delete the game from Steam and move on to another game, it's a shame . Thanks

Guys I'm not sure if this is a bug but whenever I adjust volume (+ or -) the game automatically exits fullscreen and goes back to fullscreen. The screen turns black for a sec and come back again with DP on the top right showing connection. Doesn't matter if the game is set to be boarderless fullscreen or exclusively fullscreen

why on the official discord on our complaints about the server problem and its red orange logo that appears at the bottom right very regularly. None of Embark speaks here to tell us that they are taking the problem into account and that they will take care of it quickly. the problem has been present since chapter 4 anyway. It would be nice to have an answer, there are developers on this discord who read our messages from Embark? On the Steam forum many players complain about this problem... We have to react I think!

Was there a bug where rating game will cancell without loss/gain of rating? We just got to 2nd place in first round and game treated like its end of tournament and kicked us to the main menu.

The KS-23, Model 1887, and CL-40 are currently bugged and will not shoot out of a reload. You have to pull the trigger twice before the gun will fire.

👋 Having an issue with the latest patch on Proton Experimental where framerate is totally fine (100-130) until I see another contestant, then it's <25, along with massive input lag. This makes the game unplayable as soon as I get into fights. Doesn't matter if I run Low, Epic, etc. I've repro'ed this on Proton 9 and Hotfix as well. Anyone else seeing this?

Hi everyone, hope yall doing well.
I always has the same problem of the game crashing mid game or it happens immediately when i start a match and the message pop up after the crash happens is :
"Out of memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or close other applications that are running"
I just tried multiple solutions trying to fix this but non of them last and the game still crashes, my GPU is Rx6650xt 8gb, i play on 1080p upscaled to 1440p with fsr quality focused, but even playing on 1080p native this keeps happening and it's hella annoying and prevent me from enjoying the game.
I'll appreciate the help for this, and thanks in advance.

I swear to god it feels like the heavy class is so neglected. Here is another bug that has continued to go unfixed. If you happen to activate winch while in the middle of a right click big swing of the sledge, the animation for the big swing will still continue while the claw activates, but when the hit connects it only counts as the same amount of damage as a normal primary swing. I would rather the swing get cancelled altogether rather than this, because it messes up the timing of so many of my encounters now as far as animation wait time and damage tracking

Where do i begin..? VC not working again.. what about the bug that prevents you from seeing team loadouts 90% of the time ( since season 1) what about not being able to use voice commands when dead, also 90% of the time. how about the jump pad bug where it isnt active when you set it down so you walk right over it. Servers are laggy as hell for the past few weeks and seems to be getting worse. Constant freezes, teleporting, able to look around but not move, enemies dying 2-3 seconds after you shot them (and vice versa). This H in the screenshot (pink health bar) and standing on the roof, winch clawed and pulled me through a solid wall! Taking into account the numerous long-standing gameplay bugs, how can Embark even consider this game close to ready for esports?!!

I 100% agree on this, but when did they actually changed it? Because i never unplugged any peripherial ever before, and it worked as intended, i mean it worked for controller, and never worked for mnk af course, but a few month ago it just stopped completely. All I can think is maybe i have a prohibited app/software installed, but while finals is open all unnecessary software has been closed... so I'm confused. I never heard about mnk would disable it... it has never been mentioned in patches(correct me if im wrong). Any ideas?

You should never expect a live service online game with anti cheat to be stable for Linux. It being playable should be seen as the odd situation, not the “bug” breaking it.

Linux support is done from volunteer and open source projects to convert windows code, Embark (or almost any other game dev) is not making an explicit Linux version. Officially the only platforms are windows, Xbox, and PlayStation. They have no reason to support such a niche platform and if other games are any indication (like apex legends) then Linux access is providing an easy gateway for hacking and could be shut down.

Use steam deck for single player games or games explicitly supported for Linux. You bought a steam deck with no guarantee you have the right to play the games you want, understand that they have no obligation to support.

I know this is not what you want to hear but it seems weird to think they need to work to fix this

Right, but weekly updates mean there is no idea when an update can break the game again. And if they have to make a large edit to the code that might prevent Linux compatibility entirely, they have no obligation to fix it for such a small platform that isn’t even officially supported. My point is that with this being unofficial, you shouldn’t hope for it to always be available. If it is, have fun playing of course, but always keep in mind it can end at any time.

Hello, it has happened to me on up to 3 occasions, when it comes to stealing the last box, the time is bugged and it seems that when there are still 3 seconds left in the game, an immediate payment is made. Even the voices of the countdown to the end of the game are out of coordination with the real time of that payment.

Like, let's be real, we can't expect an impeccable team all the time. I mean I'm probably considered garbage too, when it pairs me with better people. But this is something else. Having a teammate like that is an actual disruption. Coinstaggers, AFKing after being killed the 5th time in a row (understandable) and not being able to keep up with the rest of the lobbies pace is actively sabotaging any team efforts.

This person will never play The Finals again.

I've been running into this problem since Season 2 and haven't really seen anyone else mention it anywhere. I will just be stuck on the "waiting for other players to finish" screen and if i don't realise I'm not connecting and alt+f4 out of the game in time it will just kick me back to the main menu with no option to reconnect when I relaunch it. Usually when I am playing as a team it's just me with this problem and my teammates get connected as usual

Anyone running into an issue where the screen goes blank for a second or two and then comes back? Used to happen a lot then stopped, started happening again yesterday. I don't think it's my pc bc it happened on a completely different system before and only in the Finals and now it's happening again on a new pc. Wasn't happening for weeks btw, just started out of the blue yesterday and again today. One time on the old system it went completely blank EXCEPT for the announcer subtitles were still there as well as the numbers in the lower right corner. Usually it goes completely blank tho.

Did something change with matchmaking in the patch? Multiple games tonight in both ranked and Quick Cash where I, someone with 300+ hours in the game and a season high of plat, were getting matched with level 5-30s who were bronze-gold players. This has never happened consistently every single game. I think this is a bug.

The matchmaker has to be busted. 4/5 ranked games tonight were with default loads, which mind you are meant for TA (spoiler isn't the ranked game anymore so why is that the default loadout still), then proceed to be out played and can't keep up with the lobby. Mind you these players are like level 29 or 30. Additionally, why as a gold 1/plat 4 player why am I seeing Silver 3's Bronze 4's in my lobbies? Why are we averaging ranks? You can see it every lobby you play. Why is a Diamond allowed to queue with anyone below plat 3? Why can a Plat player queue with a Bronze? All of this would be fixed if we stopped averaging ranks and we implemented ranked brackets. Most FPS comp games do not allow someone to go slumming in easy lobbies to get easy rank. Something has gotta give here with this matchmaker.

And idk about tabbing out, it does seem like something is battling the game for focus but idk what that would be, I'm definitely not "tabbing out" manually. I was recording my games with Steam so I turned that off to see if that's the culprit but no difference. I was trying to think if anything has changed since it started again, and I remembered I did hook up a second monitor. So I unplugged it from the graphic card and so far it's not doing it anymore. Theres a known bug where the visual attributes like detects or fire never get cleared by the server even when players die. This can give people wallhack. When the Bug happens it seems to effect every player.If someone were to route all of the finals traffic through a proxy and drop all of the effect clearing packets, would the anticheat even detect that if the glitch isnt even cleared on clientside? (i dont want to develop or use cheats)

Yeah, I get that, but I've contacted support 3 separate times specifically asking for another way (basically saying everything I posted about) and they all have said "reverse it" even though I explained why I can't. It just makes me believe they aren't actually reading what I'm and are just copy and pasting a solution. The whole point of me messaging support is to get real help. I start a Tournament match. but then when it starts loading it gives me error code TFGE0001, ( Server Not Responding ), i try to reload 10 more times. But then get hit with the same issue. I am forced to abandon the match, which leads me to being penalised. Keep in mind that I then load any other gamemode and it works fine.

When I use lock bolt on enemies just before they hit an in-map jump pad, I’m only getting credit for the eliminations some of the time

Usually it’s only if they jump right after the lockbolt activates, but if it activates and like 1 second passes before they jump, I don’t get the credit even if they fall while it’s attached still

Yeah they've used Nvidia inspector and changing dlls to force that. I'm sure this is a bug caused by nvidia app because otherwise this is just changing how app sees game and changing some lines from true to false. It wouldn't work if the game doesn't have the files since you're not changing any game files. But yeah it will probably fixed with the next nvidia app patch you can wait for that if you want to be sure

There are absolutely too many in-game bugs going on right now

  1. the heart bombs are occasionally giving zero audio cue even when standing right next to them
  2. lockbolt no longer gives a unique sound effect when it captures an enemy, it only does a hitmarker. The little ding was much more helpful
  3. uncontrollable game sounds (in my case the 1:00 warning music alert) completely drown out the sound of the cashout being stolen even when less than 8m away
  4. hit registers feel worse than ever
  5. footstep audio cues from enemies are even more unreliable

Video 1: Not a bug, you shot passed him because the rpg was nerfed (s2 change iirc) to be inaccurate on hipfire.
Video 2: It didn't connect because it you shot it a little too low and it attached to those pipes at an angle that put it's line-of-sight (LOS) behind the pipes mneaning it wouldn't attach to the player you wanted to lockbolt. Unintended bug? If they were to make it break objects like those pipes it could be fixed, but if they remove the LOS requirement for lockbolt then it'd be way too strong.

It worked okay (kinda, still had to play with all lows + dlss performance to get stable 60fps) but with 5.8.0 it got unplayable again with huuuge drops no matter the settings. Packet losses aswell. Better find something else to play

I seem to "cause" them when I hit a roof/wall at significant speed, and I also see them happen when some particularly tricky physics math is invoked by my destruction shenanigans. Cerberus doesn't shoot after get stunned. Since almost all Light class carry a stun gun, this bug is quite frequently. After getting stun, cerberus shoot gun can't shoot while stunned effect take place. This is happening after the last weapon update.

Does anyone else kind of like the changes to the goo gun? I just posted about it in the feedback channel, but I honestly find the larger projectile size makes it more consistent to shoot players with . Its an absolute menace with the flamethrower, being able to get goo trigger more consistently makes it way better for alternating between goo and fire. I'll admit its is kinda a pain trying to hit terrain and makes walls and such, but I've started getting used to it and the upsides of it being better in combat are worth it in my opinion.

2 things, 1st, on some hater shi- delete the cerberus from the game because that shits aids nobody liked flame thrower and model is crazy, what made you think adding a shotty that does bs burn damage over time was a good call? MY MAIN BUG COMPLAINT- my stun often times doesnt let me shoot when i first pull it out, when its reloaded or when i havent even used it yet during the game. it blanks and then pulls out my gun again, sometimes with what feels like a delay. its f-ed me up so many times. i have good ping so thats not my issue. just kind of annoying because i never had that issue from OB to most of season 4 and then it got messed up.

Whenever I load into a match and the countdown starts my game will either crash or it will say like 7 out of 10 players and not load any more players and when the start timer hits 0 it just sits on the gadget select screen for like 2 minutes then either crashes or loads me into the match at which point I have this weird close 3rd person camera and can wasd but i cant look around and the gadget select is still on my screen and all the visuals are super saturated.

As of today's update, player voice lines are turned on for self, regardless of dialog volume setting. Personally I find this quite annoying, as I have mine set to 0.

Update: All character voice lines are currently enabled in ranked. Please fix this. I have no desire to hear dialog, that's why I set dialog to 0.

Is anyone else not really vibing with the new UI layout in the bottom right in game? I feel like it sticks out too much now. It's not getting in the way but it's not pretty. The ammo count being closer to the middle of my screen feels out of place, and I think it would for any game. And with no setting to change the UI layout I find myself irritated every time I look at my ammo. The old UI was perfect or damn close if I say so. I use the equipment wheel setting so the new directional layout of the UI is almost pointless since the wheel is already directionally laid out when open on screen. In short, please embark add a setting option for this 🙏🏽

Did they remove every map for tdm except for sys horizon or am I bugged/cursed? I have had only that map on tdm since the latest update and I played like 20+ rounds

i have been facing this launch error for a very long time. i dont see any application named "ACE-BASE" in my task manager, i've tried reinstalling Easy Anti Cheat application many times, gave firewall access to Easy Anti Cheat application but didnt worked at all. It's not just a Easy Anti Cheat problem becuz I can run The First Descendant, Hell Let Loose and Fortnite game which uses Easy Anti Cheat.
