Don’t think stellarium will be useful for this. I don’t think they used accurate date time skies. If I remember correctly you can see the big dipper in the sky at night. But I’d have to read back to be sure.

Oh for sure, and stellarium is great software for these kind of purposes. It would work best if you would be able to upload a 360 degree image and cut out the sky. Then matching that with lat and lon data will show you exactly what is visible when. If they made an actual accurate sky I could use a technique called plate solving to match parts of the sky.

Commodore 64 is the best selling computer from that era, it's sound and graphic is pretty up the top with affordable price and huge game library. C64's First Appearance is at Year 1982 which is also the year credit screen shown Image 4, In Las Vegas (our S1 map).
After a bit digging I found out C64 is actually a culture phenomenon in Computer gaming, it's price is affordable, people can share games with cassette tapes and disks, it's popularity is also a huge reason for people start picking up programming, I feel like there's a lot to be dig here so I kept digging.

Image 2 Commodore 64 & Image 3 Our In-game sponsor CRMP have similar logo design, both looks like C<, there's also a cassette tape charm in Tape time Set which is a set dedicated only to CRMP (A lot our cosmetics contain more than one sponsor, it's rare to see CRMP stands on it's own since it seems to be a small brand), (Cassette tape being one of main way for people to share game and stuff, so the set/CRMP could be a reference to C64)

In SYS$Horizon, there's a weather setting called "Foggy Night." As the name suggests, it brings heavy fog, but only on the EAST side of the map (based on the in-game compass UI). There, the fog takes on a reddish hue due to the "sunset," casting a red mist across the entire area. This mirrors the story in The Argon Factory— "east of your ship. Whisps of red mist."

The rest of the quote is: In the rock a few feet below is a small opening.
Feet below, a small opening which suggest the "secret room's" whereabouts, according to rob: there is a small little hidden room that* you can go down and hide in***

Then the story also tells you what's under the small opening:

Saboteur!(1985) & Kyoto Disk EE(The Finals)

As we all know there's disks, more accurately- floppy disks found in the map Kyoto, you can find it by breaking trees of Kyoto.

After a bit digging through commodore 64, I found another nod/connection which can very possibly be why there's a disk EE in Kyoto, there's a game called Saboteur! back in 1985, commodore 64/ZX Spectrum...Popular platforms that era seems all are able to play this game.

There's a Ninja outfit came out back in S3 called The Saboteur, it just a full Ninja set, everything Ninja related, since it's S3 (A season with Medieval Japan theme) so it is not weird at all, Engimo recolored that skin as sponsor reward in S6, here is the thing.

The connection is pretty obvious: Ninja (outfit), Outfit (The Saboteur), Kyoto has floppy disks hidden within the map, both medieval Japan themed...
Not sure if there's other connection tho.

That could be another connection to it. So far the general thought was Monkey Island. In the game, there's a part where Guybrush comes across a stump with a hole in it. If you try to interact with it, the game tells you that you need to insert Disk 22 first, along with I think 3 others. I can't remember the other numbers right now.

Could be a good old fashioned double meaning, and that's why Rob chose specifically Kyoto to put that EE in

Nowadays, games are so intense—whether it’s AAA titles or fast-paced PVP—that they take up all your attention. Most people don’t even realize Easter eggs exist anymore, at least not like they used to. These days, EEs are mostly just teasers for new heroes or collabs like "Nicki Minaj is coming," making it feel like their only purpose is to hype up future content and get people to spend money. But The Finals brought back meaningful Easter eggs, and I had a blast discovering things from before I was even born.

I feel like if rob grew up in puzzle solving games, and hidden levels etc, no wonder he likes to design EE and no wonder The Finals has a soul.

Here's a thought. So looking back at Level 1 and 2, there might be a pattern that explains our "1, 2, 3" clues. Level 1 he seemed to be very direct and point to one thing at a time for each "tier." He just pointed us to the answer itself. Then Level 2 opened up and he seemed to give hints that would ultimately point to 2 things we needed to combine for each password. Example being "lxxix" he pointed us to the number 79 and Rome. So now maybe "1, 2, 3" is mainly trying to tell us there are three things we need to combine this time.

If you look at the similarities between THE FINALS and Ready Player one, there are a surprising amount:

-The games are set in a future VR universe, which isnt saying much, but take this into consideration as you read the rest..
-Contestants explode into coins when eliminated, much like is seen in the movie RPO
-The sheer amount of EE's is enough to compare it to RPO
-there is a consistent reference to retro games, such as space invader, as in both games are set far into the future with some of the most advanced game tech, yet people love to reminisce on the golden retro era of gaming, both in TF and RPO
-There is one top figure responsible for all this, and then the parties around them. In RPO we have James halliday and the other companies and in TF we have Rob and the in-game sponsors
-Another very detailed reference is in RPO, Parzival is given a one of a kind Respawn coin, allowing him to jump back in, sound familiar to any respawn coins we have in TF?
-not sure if this one even counts but in RPO players can customize their looks to just about anynthing, and frankly ive never seen a game with as many funny and flairing skins as TF

Robber Barons
Robber baron is a term first applied by 19th century muckrakers and others as social criticism to certain wealthy, powerful, and unethical 19th-century American businessmen. Just Imagine them as shady business men who only thinks about money, and they rob you with a lot technique:

By the late 19th century, the term was typically applied to businessmen who used exploitative practices to amass their wealth. Those practices included unfettered consumption and destruction of natural resources, influencing high levels of government, wage slavery, squashing competition by acquiring their competitors, and to create monopolies and/or trusts that control the market.

Some of them plays a important role on Wall Street's development

Age of the robber barons and role of strong, dominant figures in the development of Wall Street, including Gould, Rockefeller, Pierpont Morgan, and Jacob Schiff. Further development of the markets, increasing in size and activity, and the development of securities houses and investment banks.

So just basically money hungry businessmen, that control wealth and power also have the ability to control market.

We can all sort of see MultiCo being a huge Corporation controlling resources and such, but the connection doesn't end there:
In game we have sponsor: Dissun, I-Seult, Vaiiya, etc. etc.
They all do their part to feed in this giant entity: MultiCo, I haven't decide what exactly MultiCo is, but I have a pretty solid idea where our sponsor came from.

Dissun: Energy | I- Seult: Clothing | Vaiiya: Security, they all have their specialty, all belongs to MultiCo, this is very similar to Robber Barons IRL
Andrew Carnegie: The Steel Robber Baron
John D. Rockefeller: The Oil Robber Baron
J.P. Morgan: The Financier Robber Baron
Etc.

They are all Robber Barons with different specialty, do they control wealth together? do they have partnership, these are yet to investigate and that's for another time.
But here is what interesting:

This silly egg mascot we all love has been brutally killed, destroyed, exploded in to pieces in trailers, seemingly no reason at all but there is a reason for that.

I screen shot every NamaTama scene in every trailer from Close Alpha to S6, here is what I discovered.
Nama's death and wealth (coins, cashout, etc.) always one after another.

In Open Alpha, Nama** did not die** and right after wards the cashout station is grey (no cashbox, no lighting).
In Close Beta, Nama died inside of a cashout station, then the cashout process begins after Nama's yolk went everywhere.
In Open Beta, Nama dead by exopods itself, then a **activating bank station flies out .
In S1, Nama died because it exploded without a reason **when CNS trying to Hijack the station, right after coin explodes.
In S2, CNS completely hacked The Finals, Nama was about to die (after ) when Scotty was trying to take over the control, but CNS stopped scotty, Nama got saved, no death no money/coins, etc (it seems really happy).
In S3, The Finals AI rebooted, Nama didn't die, so no money.
In S4, Nama didn't show up, considering AI just rebooted.
In S5, after a rewind effect (from S5 clip all the way back to close alpha/beta), a Nama without yolk leak showed up, and start duplicating gold blobs after Scotty X-rayed Nama and said "to the next stage, here we gooo" we can clearly see here, the smaller gold blob transforms to coins, the yolk inside Nama Tama is gold/gold coins, and ofc, it died, right after the duplication, a cashbox popped up.
In S6 Nama got charged by Moolah and just died instantly, right after a Moolah outfit contestant turns another one into coins.

Then Scotty (MultiCo/ Sponsor) seems have the power to kill it to gain gold over and over again.
Squash to death, Charged by Moolah, X-ray duplication, let it explode itself -- Nama been through it all with a smiley face.

If Sponsors/MultiCo is based on Robber Barons.
Nama = Gold, get maneuvered around by MultiCo, seems happy even facing death

Then that is Market Manipulation.
Control when to have gold (Money), how to have it, they can even duplicate it, sounds a lot like what Robber Barons do-

Now we know Nama's yolk is gold, Nama itself can be interpreted as market or resources, then what is moolah?

Moolah is a milk cow, why does it charge, it even destroyed Nama by charging in S6 trailer, it is because:

Moolah is based on Charging bull- A Statue from Wall street.

And ofc, Moolah is "working" for MultiCo/Sponsors, as I introduced earlier, some of the robber barons have great impact on development of wall street, with that wealth, stock (Moolah/Charging bull) manipulation is fairly easy, the reason why Moolah is under MultiCo/ Wall street at that time under Robber baron, is pretty clear.

Now, CNS, a group against MultiCo (Robber Barons), trying to take back what is theirs (Nama= Money/Market/Resource), it's pretty clear to me, a group of people would do such a thing- put them in IRL position, they would be Labor Union or Worker Union, "taking back what is ours" sometimes are used by Workers/Labors complaining about unfair wage gap,

i'm not sure what's the significance of the fish page in general, but after watching severance it almost feels like a reference to the show as the main character has two fish tanks with blue and red/orange betta fish that are features against the same colored background as the fin first tee t-shirt, the show also has blue as the color (same as the t-shirt) of the department where the main character works

you see if worker complains low wage/pay, they usually just their company/factory isn't paying them what they deserve, or not giving them what they want.
CNS kinda fits there really well.

CNS from a lore perspective is a group knows The Finals inside out, Hijacks it in S1, took over The Finals in S2
June and scotty being impressed they can get around Volpe's technology and Vaiiya's security
CNS can add gargets/specs into games even bringing us new game mode, even have their own "Gamemode Trainer" for the finals.

If CNS = Labor/Worker Union, MultiCo = Robber Barons (The big entity that is hungry and greedy.)
Sounds like a group of worker left their company and started their revenge.
Someone who knows it's Inside out, Knows who is lying (S.Lies), knows Volpe's tech and Vaiiya's security, the image become clearer.

Keep their perspective in mind because there might be bigger connections.
Anyone can tell CNS is talented, hacks in and out, bringing fun into the game, have a genuine** love for games** and gaming industry (eg: mode-bringing powershift, TDM | skins- bringing retro style 8.bit cosmetics, retro game machines etc.) even their map have brand new texture for everything (I do not need to explain how beautiful SYS$ is.)

Contrary to CNS's work, MultiCo seems like repetitive slop: they have no actual creativity, (We all know the map rotation per season being: real life, fantasy, real life, fantasy..)
MultiCo's map every time when it comes to fantasy, it just copy and paste from older maps. [We can see Seoul in Fortune stadium, We can definitely see Las Vegas in Las Vegas Stadium 😅 ]
(No hate for embark, these are all their work after all, they make this "contrast" between CNS map and "MultiCo slop" yet players still can have fun and be grateful is absolutely genius)

CNS: Labor/Worker/the one who actually make the stuff for consumers, have creativity and love for what they make, left the original place and started their revenge (Revenge_friend Nama only showed up in CNS trailer & the Close Alpha trailer which is first trailer in The Finals and it didn't die)
MultiCo: Robber Barons/Money hungry entity, no creativity, only repetitive slop, do stuff just to make money.

When we are talking about labor union and robber barons, it's not really all about money** if you put this relationship into gaming industry**:
Devs(Workers) not getting what they want, for their love in the industry, for their love in players/consumers...
How. Many. Times. Did you hear:

"Don't attack the devs, it's not their decision!"
"We didn't decide this.."
"XX game cuts off the talented devs after game is finished"
"Why do they ignore player's want and needs??"

Robber barons and Labor Union is a perfect reflection of conflict in Today's Gaming industry between Players & Devs VS Corporates who just want to make games to make money.

Now, if we** put Embark into CNS's position** (which has been a speculation for a long time.)

• No FOMO (Shady practice like Robber Baron)
• Giving players what they want (Unlike big cooperate who don't gives 2 fxxks) in the name of CNS
• Generously giving out Premium Currency (BP, Seasonal E-mail, Free cosmetics in sponsor system [They all banger skin too], MB from WT...)

CNS brings retro styles in to the arena, Maps, cosmetics, etc, iirc** only CNS** has "Retro themed" cosmetics, because at that time, gaming brings purest fun, it is love for games/gaming from the old times (No corporate slop), there's no other "retro style" cosmetics, all the retro skins are given during S2 (CNS theme), or during CNS hacking events...
You know where else you can see Retro style in The Finals? one and only place: Embark credit screen:

In Embark's credit screen, you can see there's a year: 1982, which is the year Commodore 64 was born, the machine heavily promoted games and programing due to it's cheap price, huge game library and a lot of specialty, people can share games, play together, learn to program, it was a cultural phenomenon, it was game in purest form, it was love.

So ofc, Embark hides a lot reference to old time in EEs, 3HM being one of them.

Contrary to CNS/Embark, MultiCo's attitude towards Retro stuff is just "meh" because they don't have love nor soul, all they care is money.

Eg:
During In game event: Retro Invasion,
June's attitude towards this game show is contrary to other game shows (maybe because this is what CNS left before they left MultiCo)
