I was reviewing a lot of amber market complaints and rework ideas; so I thought to state a plausible solution that'll help everyone and even keep the amber market as a use.
First off, before I mention my idea, I am aware everyone has their own separate opinions of Amber, and as much as I dislike Amber, I think its a good thing to have. Sure we can't unlock the creatures anymore, it makes them still valuable to have and makes the hybrids more rewarding to get. Even if they aren't that good. Also, if they all had earth shattering events to unlock, it'll be too much to take care of / look forward to. Let alone the other easily obtainable tournament creatures that you can get without having to climb ranks to get.
Now, here comes my idea. I say keep the Amber Market, but host an event to fully unlock a single Amber creature. There is a catch to this though. The price of the selected amber creature would be 2x more expensive for it's unlockable state. This event could happen once every 2 weeks. Not too rapid to get rid of everything, but consistent to get the creatures we want from it to make it have a more relyable source [Aka DNA]. This also lets you save up your amber for this randomized, unlockable opportunity. Yes, the creature that gets selected is most likely "Randomized." Common creatures will have a higher chance to get selected to have their unlocks, but not all the time to the point everyone is upset about it. Maybe you'll strike lucky, maybe you wont. Also, once the creature you successfuly unlock a creature, it wont appear in the market ever again. Letting you wait another 2 weeks for the next creature. This also lets out Amber-locked tournament Dinos feel more rewarding to unlock than just a single copy. Let alone there will no longer be any stress about getting top of the leader board.
