Tried doing it by code, ingame invite button, as well as, steam invite. The game attempts to join the room, but then just kicks the joining player back to menu. Anybody else have this issue by chance?

Hey Domas, are you using a fresh install of the game? I had a similar problem during playtest. My friend was using the new playtest version as I was using the version from the early playtest. Do you have any error messages?

Hey Luxurex, we both downloaded the game for the first time today, so I assume the versions the same. No error messages unfortunately, I just get placed back in the main menu.
Also updated the gpu drivers just incase, altho that was probably a long shot to begin with
Verifying files now, maybe that'll do it

We encountered problems with joining a party with room code. Got the invitation to work through steam invite.

We were able to connect through steam only as well. Room code didn't work.
Although we were able to connect the problem persists for him and his friend.

Although, I think there were some issues before adding someone else (ya boi Luxurex) as a friend also
However, once we we're friends on steam, then it worked perfectly

Could this be a situation where you had different versions of the game?
If the version number is different, you can't join. However, when trying to connect, a message should pop up at the top of the client's screen.

We both downloaded the game yesterday evening (EU time) for the first time, so they should be the same
I gues we didn't compare build numbers exactly, but that would be very weird
no messages at the top of the screen
neither one of us played any prior beta or nothing like that
Also we did the steam "verify files" meme as well

How about your friend, can he connect with others? Maybe the problem is on his side.
