||Final Days were a little underplayed? I didn't want world rending cataclysm but the role quests that were meant to display the effects of the Final Days in other regions ended up playing our more like a typical "gotta hunt down this 1 thing" quest instead of highlighting the unique terror of the Blasphemies much. You could could have replaced it with Sin Eaters, or Primals, or pretty much anything and the quests would have played out similarly

EW takes a while to start up, the pacing in the first two regions is kinda rough and I honestly got worried a little for a bit on the quality of the expac

final dungeon 3rd area was pretty weak and inconsistent thematically. The point of every other civilization was that they tried to achieve perfection and realized it was impossible, so a civilization that says "yeah we got perfect but it was boring" is kinda... eh? In a way, it retreads Ea but in a less interesting way, since Ea could have been argued to have achieved "perfection" as well, only to realize it all disappears in the end because of heat death. Hell, if they were so bored - solve heat death! It's just kind of weak and not nearly as poignant as the other two areas - a civilization ravaged by plague and pollution, and a civilization ravaged by freedom and war. To be sure, the other two areas were fucking fantastic and the guy running up at the end setting all the nukes off, celebrating only to realize what he's done was amazing. But the 3rd area was a letdown in comparison which renders it a somewhat weaker final dungeon than Amarout, imo.||

||I personally found the pacing not to be a problem but probably more so because of the hype and because I absolutely love the interactions the scions had with each other. The start of Thavnair in particular is an example. So I am probably just positively biased towards the early pacing.||

||I don't see the final area as a let down. Back in school in philosophy/ethics class we had a similar topic about Utopias and if people lacked anything negative and only had positive things in live. Meteion's dialogue explained it fairly well, IMO, with that all their constant joy eventually just turned into apathy because there was nothing else. Like developing a resistance to a drug, the effect eventually got smaller and smaller until they were barely noticeable, making everything look "grey", if you get what I mean. That's also the whole theme of Hydaelyn, whom Venat turned into in order to make the people of Etheirys feel both sides of the coin in order to not suffer similar fates and succumb to either side||
