The type of memory you get is based on the area - the southern area is yellow, the middle is blue, the top is red

The best way to farm them within Bozja, in my experience, is to gather a full party and kill overworld mobs in large packs

Skill--AoE grind Nepenthes and Orobons, you can grab lots.
Awakening--AoE grind Doblyns, don't do Sabos
Compasion--AoE Screamers
Preparation--Earth Sprites, zone 1
Care--Water Sprites, zone 2
Support--Thunder Sprites, zone 3
Violence--Gravekeepers, Zone 3
Caution and Ingenuity--Farm Clusters, use those to buy them. Doblyn and Screamer farms have nearby rank I and II mechanicals you can use to get clusters, each cluster = 4 or 5 caution/ingenuity.
Resolve--Do Zone 3 CEs

If you can't do these solo, learn. Use defensive essences if you're DPS. Use Protect. Use Banner of Firm Resolve.

If you can, grab someone else grinding something else solo, and double your efforts
