What wasn‘t really clear to me is whether this body, this appearance, belonged to someone in particular. Is this Amaurotine Elidibus showing us his true form in the way Emet transforms to Hades during his boss fight? Is this Azem/Amaurotine WoL‘s appearance? Just some random look?||

The player is basically confirmed to be Azem, the 14th of the convocation, which also just so happens to be identical in appearance to the FF1 WoL (but not the same person). Elidibus, before he got made into Zodiark's heart, is implied to have idolized Azem. So he just picked what made sense to him - but ironically he took the form of "us" to fight us.

The echo is not a gift from Hydealyn, the echo is you regaining some of your powers from before the sundering due to being reminded of the final days. Hydaelyn just calls out to people who gain the echo, giving them the blessing too.

Can anyone explain if Hydaelyn is a primal, why isn’t she draining the planet just to exist? Same as other primals? Many benevolent primal like Ramuh are still bad for the planet simply cause they suck aether simply to exist. Why didn’t that happen with Hydaelyn? Does she not need aether? No one even prays to her
