is SMN actually a 3-min "on rails rotation" dps where you always press A>B>C>D>E>...Z in order every time, or does it unlock some flexibility after your opener

Been playing RDM and DRG for so long where once your opener is down, you sorta just press stuff as it comes up and if theres a lull in the fight, you just shift around your focus to make sure the CDs are rolling. But with SMN it sounds like if you miss pressing a certain button at a certain time, it messes everything up, and theres a lot of these instances
