just to be clear on nomenclature. When folks say like A1 or A2, they are talking about the HW raid tier, alexander, counting from 1-12 for all 12 fights in the raid series. For SB, since the raid is called omega, it's usually referred to by like O1, O2, counting from 1-12 for all 12 fights in the raid series

A big part of raiding is asserting your position. Depending on your job, you'll want to pick a spot and stay there. Mechanics will, in many cases, allow you to stay there, even as a BLM.

or SSS

gives you a few minute to kill a dummy on different difficulties

even people on console can do it to test because u dont need to run ACT for it

the issue with statics is that you cant just join and leave how you like, you need to get settled in comfortably and stuff, which takes a few weeks. then you find out the leader is suicidal and treats you like a therapist and you want to escape but you spent 2 weeks looking for a static and 3 weeks settling into it so that really sucks

Some dummies you will fail. NIN dummies make no sense. DRG dummies are super easy if you call your healer chocobo out and use Dragon Sight. If you don't they're super tough. MNK dummies are pretty decent. SAM dummies are easy. WAR dummies (I stopped at O8S) seemed to be pretty easy. PLD dummies were easy as shit back in 4.0-4.2 lol.

you can exchange mendacity for ilvl 360 gear

and genesis for ilvl 390 gear

that'll also be another way of gearing up
