if you're stuck on LR for that long, I'd recommend taking a look at what's causing wipes and try to address it. Don't be afraid to change to a different strat, explain things to certain members, make sure people know what they're doing and why

like, the dps check isn't very tight and you can get pretty good uptime with various other strats as well. And even if not, getting a few more GCDs in during LR isn't going to be the difference between clearing or not at this point
if you can find a way to make the mechanic consistent for everyone, that will be infinitely more valuable than trying to force one specific strat that isn't working out, for whatever reason

@barren sapphire because BLU gets non player skills they often tend to be over powered when adjusted with player stats and gear. As you know a character at the same level as a mob is usually much much stronger obviously. They are fun to collect all their abilities however it would cause a huge problem if they threw them in with everyone else.
For instance what if they haven't learned a bunch. Of the stronger more powerful but harder to get spells.
You're basically either forcing people to play with a overpowered character or one who is basically incomplete, depending on what skills they know.
This inherintly would force other players, not of their own free will, to deal with that. Which would be unfair for obvious reasons.
Blu are fun and great for side content, or collectors/ completionists ect. But just cause a myriad of problems throwing them in forced groups compared to other dps classes which are designed for it. Mob spells are obviously not designed with player use as it's top priority.

To avoid AOE while accounting for your Dps party member's positional, you can either walk inside the boss or rotate yourself around the boss slightly

@grizzled condor An important part about avoiding aoes that I can add onto. Make sure that after you've walked out of said aoe, that you try to move back to the spot you were standing at before. I see plenty of tanks that run away to avoid, and away, and away. Suddenly the enemies are 10y away from where they were originally, and all that chasing and realigning of aoes can be really tough for some jobs to manage.
Same thing with bosses. You want to face them north most of the time, so they face away from the arena entrance (with rare exceptions). If they do a cone aoe on you, move away from it, and then move back to the boss so he doesn't turn away from facing north. Your melee dps partners in particular will thank you for it.

The only thing you should really consider a static nearly mandatory is Ultimate raids, which ar specifically designed for the top 1% of players
Healers can very easily dps in big pulls with proper use of off global healing and the tank using cooldowns
If your tank is dropping fast then their gear is Garbage or not using cooldowns

If they're taking morw damage than they should, yes
Always keep an eye on their cooldown usage
And call them out if needed
Healing is a group effort...its the tanks job to hold aggro and mitigate damage, its the dps (as well as your job and tanks) job to kill them fast enough before you and the tank run out of resources, and its your job to cover the damage the tank does take

@short sparrow as a general word of caution, but NQ vendor/crafted gear starts being super weak past level 60. Ideally you always want to be using HQ crafted gear, tomestone gear, or dungeon gear now.

@heady knot There isn't really anything in game like that. If you mean optional services like extra retainers and such, that's up to you. It's possible to get by with the two free retainers. Extras aren't all that necessary unless you hoard materials and stuff. Other services, like the companion app subscription, also falls into this category. Getting an extra saddlebag is nice but not really required.

so like, you have 1 stand on the cardinal, take their dash, then they move back

the only real notable levels with "best" items to get are 50/60/70/80. 50 is the ironworks gear, 60 is shire, and 70 is scaevan. 80 is going vary since we're not on the final raid tier yet
outside of those, use whatever you've got from msq/dungeons
50-70 sets are gotten with poetics
