Flying is generally the quickest mount speed you can get. And it is unlocked for all ARR zones after completing the 2.0 story
For the addons you gotta collect aether currents, but that's still faster than bothering to get riding maps (which increase your ground speed)

@leaden ginkgo When in doubt, always feel free to come here and ask questions before dumping tons of gil into transport costs (although 3k is actually a very small amount in the grand scheme of things - you'll have literal millions by the end of the MSQ just by doing quests)

So it's interesting. On the alt I made to see how things changed in the MSQ after 5.3, I was able to pick up the next MSQ in the chain even though I'd only picked up the initial CT quest and hadn't done any of the raids.
In the larger scheme of things, while ||setting-wise, the Crystal Tower and G'raha Tia are interesting lore characters, not having done the raid didn't in any way significantly impact the story. It's not until 5.3 and the final confrontation with Elidibus that the tower itself, as well as G'raha's "younger" self existing on the Source becomes central enough to the plot that not having done the raid and seen the story potentially becomes detrimental to the experience||

I'm not sure how the queue system in this game works but I know that most people only do the savage raids overlevelled. If I queue for a savage raid as a level 50 with a low item level, will I be matched with high item level people and just be carried or does it not work that way?

The reason they don't show up in Raid roulette is because they were designed at a bit of a higher difficulty than normal raids are designed at now

But yeah, BCOB has a different design and difficulty level compared to current "Normal" raids. It's somewhere between a Normal raid and an Alliance raid from a design standpoint, and closer to Savage difficulty from a difficulty standpoint.
